Our cuisine is country French and Italian with a New Orleans influence. Although a majority of our seating is available for walk-in guests we do take reservations. While you wait we have a piano player and serve cocktails. We look forward to serving you.

We like you....
Wonderful dining experience. Paul was our server and I’d ask for him when we go back.
Fabulous, as always and that is not easy on Lundi Gras! It was our friend's first visit and I thought he might lick the plate. LOL
The escargot was wonderful.
Delicious food, great service. We return to this restaurant every time we come to New Orleans.
Awsome great service wonderful food, well worth making a reservation
Great food as usual, and the service was outstanding!
Even tough we were in full costume as cotton candy, the staff was amazing and the food as always was on point!
This used to be my favorite restaurant. But suffered a total miss Saturday night. Food was cold--every dish. The young man who delivered our food could not communicate--had no Enlish language skills. And our server was rushed, frantic and inattentive. Two out of three specials were sold out by 7:30.
The most wonderful dining experience. Every detail was perfect!
Delicious. Best duck in the French Quarter and they’re appetizers are awesome.
Fabulous as always!
Amazing food and the best wait staff I have had in years! We ordered the special veal shank and lamb. They were both outstanding! The noise was only because it was Mardi Gras.
Birthday dinner for my wife was a terrific experience from start to finish. Our party of five was seated at a great table overlooking the street; however we were much more struck by the classy, clubby ambience of Irene’s. Full of vintage photos and old world charm, we felt as if we were transported to a time of greater refinement. Sean was our waiter and he excelled in every aspect of his job. He is a veteran that made us all feel completely welcome. He was very patient explaining the menu and answering our questions. We landed on a great Montalcino (had 2 bottles) for a reasonable price. Among the group we had Grilled Lamb Chops, Duck St. Philip, Lasagna Bolognese, and a Filet Mignon special. We shared a Escargot appetizer. Each dish was perfectly cooked and presented. Portions were substantial and some of us took the extras back to the hotel. My wife was presented with a large piece of “birthday cheesecake” at end of meal. We never felt rushed and just soaked in the experience of a memorable evening. We all can’t wait to return to Irene’s.
The best dining experience we have had in a long time. Outstanding!
We really enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent!
It was our 51st anniversary and we could not have been treated better. I would recommend this to anyone traveling or living in the New Orleans area.
My favorite restaurant in NOLA. Steak was out of this world. Great salad. Great pasta.
It was my birthday, and everyone there made it the best experience possible! The food was delicious and the drinks were top notch!
The service is outstanding and the food is amazing. We started with the crabmeat gratin for appetizer and then had a Caprese Salad and Bibb Salad. Next we had the Lamb Chops and Black Drum Almondine followed by their famous Cheese Cake for dessert. If you have never been this is a "must go to place".
Oysters Irene was pretty good
Both entrees we had were amazing (fish / seafood #1,3)
Bread pudding was amaZing
Environment was very classy, large wine selection
Expensive but worth it
Lovely lovely lunch lovely
Service was great. Food was mediocre and over-priced.
We had the best meal Thursday night. This was the first time at the new location, as we had previously been to the one further down in the Quarter. Oh my, this place is beautiful and so much more spacious than the prior location ... what a great move for the restaurant. We had the pleasure of being served by David. David was wonderful. David was so knowledgeable, personable and friendly ... he was a joy. Part of the wonderful experience was attributed to care that David extended to us. He is a doll. Irene's certainly has a "gem" having David being a part of the restaurant's team. Everyone needs to treat themselves to a night at Irene's. We will be back.
The food is still incredible and we love the new space! The tall ceilings and beautiful decor are fun. The service was impeccable. I cannot wait to go back to New Orleans just to eat at Irene’s!
Beautiful restaurant! Great food and service! I was in town for the 1/2 Marathon and will definitely go back.
Michael was a wonderful waiter! Loved his demeanor and knowledge. He also was quick witted and fun... food of course was fabulous!
If you want to experience what a New Orleans restaurant must have been like in the nineteenth century, Irene's will provide that experience. High ceilings, candle lit tables, drapery, all evocative of a New Orleans long gone by. Service is impeccable, and the cuisine is superior.
Beautiful and romantic setting! The service was great and food was amazing!
Food was fantastic and so was waiter once we finally sat down but we had a 930 dinner reservation and did not get seated until 10:00pm. They definitely overbooked the restaurant and from my understanding that happens all the time. There was no where for is to wait so they just stuck us in a corner between two tables and made us stand there until they were ready to seat us. Would still recommend going but book earlier than you actually want to eat so you get to sit down at a decent time for dinner.
Made a reservation a week ago and the table they had for us was a high top by the bar. They gave us a regular table inside after we complained. We frequent a lot of high end restaurants and have never come across such poor seating in the past. Aside from this the food was acceptable and the service at the table was excellent. There are better restaurants in nola would suggest Brennan’s and GW Fins as good options.
Everything was perfect, as always! From start to finish, great food, excellent service, great atmosphere- highly recommend
Excellent food and outstanding service. Our waiter was very engaging and suggested several special options. The bread pudding for dessert was the best I’ve had in New Orleans.
OpenTable screwed up! My reservation did go to the restaurant. I looked at their computer myself. However, Irene's staff is extremely accommodating and they were able to seat us. So NO thanks to OpenTable, but Irene's was delicious and hospitable as always!
We enjoyed a delicious meal which we split betweent the 2 of us. Wonderful. fast and friendly service! Love Irene's!
Great food, as usual and outstanding service. Has become one of our favorite restaurant in the city.
Loved everything about Irene's. The restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint. My fish was cooked perfectly!
