We were looking for a special evening out and our expectations were more than met.
Great steakhouse with excellent service. Higher end on pricing but worth it
This was the second visit for us to Ireland's in the month of February. The first time we visited the entire experience was 5-stars. The service was great, the drinks and food were excellent and our food came out in a very timely fashion. This time around, the experience wasn't quite the same. First off, this is not a reflection upon Julian, our server, who was excellent both of the times we've visited. When we first arrived, we were told that unfortunately they would not have a table for us since we actually had 7 plus a baby, versus the 6 plus a baby that we had made a reservation for. This was an honest mistake that I made and apologized when I arrived. We were told that our only option was to sit outside of the restaurant and that they could "push some tables together." This didn't work since we were celebrating 3 birthdays and really wanted to sit family style. After some back and forth with the hostess and the maitre d (who was quite rude, might I add) they said that they could "see what they could do." We were told that all tables were full for the evening, but somehow, they managed to find a table for us in the back approximately 20 minutes later. Strangely, while we saw one or two couples that arrived to eat after us (our reservation was at 7:30pm), it didn't appear that they were as "fully booked" as they had initially claimed.
Once we sat down, the kitchen seemed to ver very slow... The entire dinner lasted almost 3.5 hours. The food was amazing, per usual, but none of us understood why everything took so long and why we were waiting over 30+ minutes between each course.
Again, this is not a reflection upon Julian and his team as they were wonderful, the food was also quite good, but this experience definitely left us wondering if we'll ever come back.
My husband and I were at a table for 2. We often had to do a lot of shifting to get everything to fit on the table. They were busy but it did seem to take a while to get our wine and our bread basket (which was delicious). The wine selections, for something reasonably priced is very limited. This is an expensive steakhouse. Everything is the size for sharing though they won't tell you that. A 2 some next to us had ordered 3 or 4 side dishes and they had a large amount of food leftover. Since we had traveled and were spending the night in the hotel, we didn't want leftovers: we shared a salad, appetizer, entree and a baked potato (almost big enough for 3) and had plenty of food. Everything tasted great. We were too stuffed to order dessert. We noticed that tables around us received a small plate of what appeared to be cookies along with the dessert they ordered. We did not receive anything. I'm not sure if you only get that if you order dessert (it wasn't a choice based upon the options we were told. Our waiter was attentive but he had a very think accent and with the noise level in the restaurant was hard to understand.
All in all, our meal was very good. I would eat here again but I don't expect that will happen as it is not convenient (a 2 hour drive). I do recommend it but be cautious as it is very easy to over order.
Best steak I’ve had perfectly prepared great service
Service was outstanding and food was delicious. Julian and Jose were awesome servers. Steak was cooked to perfection. Can't wait to go back.
Valentine’s day. I was a really nice dinner with my wife. Great non-steak options also.
We love Irelands, great food and the service from Jorge is always 5 star! The portions are large, we always return to home with leftovers. I can get a bit loud when busy, but not bad.
We frequently eat at this restaurant. The food is always good and the service is impeccable. We usually have Jorge as our server and he always make us feel like we are the only couple there.
Great food, but expensive!! A little loud in the restaurant. Great wait staff. Thought if I spent $200 on a couples meal, they should have some nice bread before dinner or complimentary course before dinner or btw dinner and dessert. REALLY GOOD, really expensive. All steaks were btw $49-60 al a carte.
This is not a steakhouse. This is a hotel bar that serves very good steaks. No complaints about the food or even the service, but don't expect a romantic or high-end ambiance. Our visit was marred by an obnoxious group sitting next to us playing a group trivia game on their cell phones yelling out answers and high-fiving each other...while I'm trying to enjoy an $85 porterhouse with my fiancee. At this price point the establishment should be designed to ensure a peaceful and semi-private dining experience, and at the very least have a floor host or manager to politely inform loud guests that they may be detracting from others' dining experience.
Overall it was another good visit to Ireland's. We did find that this time around the food wasn't as good as it has been during previous visits however the ambiance remains very quaint, the service is outstanding and the wine list is superb. Not sure if it was an off night or a new chef however for $220 (not including tip) for 4 people with no alcohol and no appetizers, not sure the value is still there.
Always had a good meal here except this night. Very disappointing! The filet and scallops was ok but the filet was not 8oz. Grouper was over cooked twice and no flavor. They insisted grouper was not frozen, however, it’s out of season... I will not go back.
We haven’t been there in over a year, and went on New Years Eve for an early dinner. I should have realized they would have a pre fix menu. We had another couple with us and they do not like seafood. The soup was lobster bisque. The salad had nuts in it (I’m allergic). They said it was already put together so I just searched them out as best as I could. I’ll try it again though on a non holiday.
Wife and I went for a date night, the service was outstanding. Started with the beet salad, which was on point. Also enjoyed the table bread with 3 different butters. I had the spinalis and my wife had the classic filet, both were perfect. We went with the mashed potatoes as a side and they were rich. Our dessert was a trio sampling that included flan, chocolate mouse, and cheesecake. Delicious. This is a classic steakhouse that delivers on all levels but the best part about the experience was the service.
Tired, expensive and marginal food. Device was good.
Met our kids there. Excellent steak, terrific lobster fries!
Service was not great. Beverages were never refilled. Steak was served raw then came back over cooked. I had surf and turf and they charged me for the lobster part of the entree even though the steak was sent back. I guess I ate half my meal but I thought that was odd. No manager ever came over to apologize.
-Service was very good
-Wait staff was running back and forth to the kitchen, not a prescription for a relaxing evening.
-Lemon drop martini was horrible, all simple syrup.
-Lobster Mac and cheese was claw meat only, very fishy, and tasted like they spilled the salt shaker in it.
-Lobster tails were perfect, but they serve it with a horrible herb butter.
-Steak was a great cut of meat, but was barely warm and dry, which tells me it sat under a light for awhile.
-It was our 21 wedding anniversary, and I thought this was going to be a great restaurant by the reviews. Don’t waste the money, 200 dollars for two people, or waste your time.
I liked it so much my first visit, two days later I came back with friends.
This experience with Ireland's Steakhouse Bonaventure Resort & Spa was similar very good to my first one, which is one of the reasons I returned 48 hours later with others. Though quite convenient if staying in the hotel, it's also a "destination steakhouse" that is different from other ones in the area. Though the menu is not exhaustive, it is far more than sufficient, whether you are an omnivore, vegetarian, gluten-intolerant, choose to seek or avoid spiciness -- Ireland's seems to accommodate all tastes and preferences. ALL of the staff are quite wonderful, but this was my second interaction with Doug, who always took it upon himself to see that each guest achieves exactly what is desired.
Ireland’s Steakhouse Bonaventure Hotel was so enjoyable that I returned two days later with guests. The service is enthusiastic, and the decor is “old school,” which is refreshing and quite grownup (though grownups of all ages should find this establishment to be enjoyable). The menu is sufficient (no pages and pages of unnecessary-decision-making), with surely something for everyone (fish, vegetarian, beef, etc.). Well-served, no rushing, and a relaxed evening. They do a very nice job. Especially if you’re a guest at the Bonaventure, you should consider spending some time at Ireland’s Steakhouse Bonaventure. By the way, on my second visit I ordered the seared tuna, which was exquisitely-fresh and served with a very generous portion! The desserts are small enough to be guilt-free.
Luke took great care of my date and myself. He was attentive, courteous and engaging. The food was outstanding, the wine was perfect and the night was a success. I will be frequenting this restaurant in the future, if only for their Brussel sprouts. The pool outside was a wonderful end to the night, overall I was impressed.
Awesome!!! Best steak I ever had! Unreal service!!!
Excellent food and service!! Will go back!!😋😊 We went there for my sisters birthday and it’s price worthy. The beef was incredible!!
My Daughter and I enjoyed the Thanksgiving Brunch, we were highly Impressed by the level of attentativeness of the staff. The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. This was our first visit to the restaurant and it will certainly not be our last.
Reservation was for Ireland's Steakhouse. It was the hotel restaurant not Irelands. Very mis leading for a Thanksgiving dinner. Food and experience was not the same.
Very good service and food
Nothing special. We had to tell server it was our anniversary even though we had noted it in our reservations. Not impressed
Excellent place for top quality steaks. No need to go anywhere else for steak if you live in Weston, FL. Bone in ribeye was amazing as well as everything else on the menu.
This is a great local steak house for the West Broward communities. In my humble opinion, it's even better than many of the big name steak houses around town. We've dined here several times and the steaks always come out great and cooked to perfection but I come for the lobster waffle fries. They are awesome. They also have great apps like Kobe beef croquettes and excellent bread service. I highly recommend giving it a try.
Everything was perfect from the moment we stepped into Ireland’s.
Food was good, service was great.
Noise level was high.
From entering the restaurant, the maitre d greeted us warmly and sat us down promptly.
The waiter and his staff were exceptional.
We came for the exceptional steaks and they didn't disappoint. We throughly enjoyed the appetizers, sides and dessert, as well. Again, Irelands, was what you would expect from a highend restaurant and you get it all and more.
Very good service quiet and good ambience.
It felt more for an older crowd, but nonetheless the filet mignon I had was very tasty and perfectly cooked.
Even though the area resort is aged this restaurant being small but well serve and high quality menu to choose that surpass my expectations when I have a business dinner there.
Excellent food, excellent service, I highly recommend this restaurant.
This was a lovely find in the Western part of South Florida where there is pretty much no fine dining. The food was delicious, the service above and beyond and the ambiance perfect. They add touches such as 4 types of salt to experiment with, choosing your steak knife from a beautiful selection and assorted butters to go with their fresh bread basket. Portions are large so don't over order!
What a fabulous experience!!! Went here for my husbands birthday 🎉 and it was perfect in every way. The host was so gracious and the entire wait team was super. Food was exquisite..ribeye, lamb chops, garlic mashed, creamed spinach. Homemade Sangria was delish too! Next time we are in the area we will go back here for sure !!!
Every single time we visit, there is no reduction in the quality of service & food. Always a pleasure to spend a few extra dollars for an amazing meal.
