Iozzo's Garden of Italy Ratings and Reviews
My wife asked that we have her birthday dinner at your fine restaurant. Our party of four adults and a two year old very much enjoyed the excellent service. Our two year old grandson loved the interaction with our server, Joyce, and the photo of great-grandfather Santori on the wall. Thank you for the wonderful food and perfect desserts.
Well the portion size for the meal me and the wife had was very poor I had the lobster raviolis. Only received 6 to 8 tiny raviolis for 36.00. we will not be coming back. We will choose a different reastraunt that provides the real cost of a meal for example fogo gives everyone ample amount of food and you go home stuffed. My dinner was like an appetizer in my opinion.
The service at Iozzo's was exceptional. Arrived early for a reservation and was still accommodated. Waitress was energetic, knowledgeable, and consistent. Food was amazing, I had the parmesan crusted pork chop with spaghetti Iozzo. Best pork chop of my life! My date had the Orzo Portobello and it was tasty too. Atmosphere was very comfortable and romantic, perfect for a date! Would definitely recommend Iozzo's to others.
Once again I made an error in my reservation & the awesome staff @ Iozzo'z made sure we got a seat. I tried to make a reservation for saturday night & open tables system switched it to sunday. We showed up on Saturday & had to wait due to the error. Other than that everything was amazing. Sat @ the bar & had exec lent service from Dave & Phil. We shall return
This was our first-time dining at Iozzo's Garden of Italy. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere very inviting. I had the Osso Buco, and my date had the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, both were great! We are looking forward to returning very soon. Special thanks to our server Blake, she was a delight.
I have been wanting to dine at Iozzos for a while now and finally found a date on my calendar that worked. Although it started out not so good because it took them 30 minutes after the time of our reservation to seat us, I really cannot blame the staff for that. It reminds me that when there are obviously people waiting for a table, that is not the time to sit and have a post dinner conversation. When the bill is paid, get up and go to the bar for goodness sake.
Anyway, on to the meal. The staff felt badly for our wait and so gave us free appetizers. We had five teens and early 20 somethings, plus us. They brought us fried ravioli and caprese salad. We stopped thinking about the wait. The food was wonderful. There were a lot of options on the menu and we took advantage of most. This was Friday during Lent and the seafood options were plentiful. The fish of the day was Halibut and it was offered five different ways. Delicious. my son had the osso busco and he said it was the best he ever had (he loves the dish and has it a lot; he also trained to be a chef). The wine list was very good. We also had desert and I will attest that the creme brulee was exceptional and I was told so were the canolis.
We will definitely go again, but will likely avoid rush hour on a Friday night.
My wife works Wednesday evening (Valentines Day) so we did a "pre-Valentines" day dinner Tuesday. We got there early for our 7:00 PM reservation and passed on the table available by the door. we headed to the bar where we grabbed a couple of glasses of wine and talked while we waited while snatching glimpses of the Winter Olympics on the TY.
We got to our table and were served by Anthony, who did a really good job for us. My wife ordered the Clams and Linguini and I the Basil Pesto with Pine Nuts on Fettuccini. Both were delicious and my Fettuccini was probably a bit overdone as it tended to clump together - a minor inconvenience as the flavor was wonderful. And the bread?? Delicious! Hard crust and soft chewy inside. Magnifico!
The food was wonderful. The waiter was very pleasant, explained the specials and menu well. He did however forget the wine and had to be reminded. Tables had candles and flowers on them although our flower was almost dead. Ordered the tour for 2 and had enough leftover for next day. It's a small place so larger tables can get a bit noisy if you're looking for a quiet place. Overall excellent food and only minor downfalls. Would return and recommend.
We had a somewhat large group of adults and teenagers on a busy night, but Tony went out of his way to accommodate our extra diners. Our waiter explained the menu and history of the restaurant very well. No one at our table was disappointed because all of our meals were incredible. From the Alfredo and the Bolognese sauces to the Marsala and Diavola, everything was fantastic. Can't wait to dine at Iozzo's again!
Great place for a true Italian meal. Our server gave us the history of the restaurant, the family and the recipes used. It is in a great location, not downtown but close enough. Had reservations (highly recommended) so we were seated right away. Again our server answered all our questions about the menu, went over the daily specials etc. Our meal was paced perfectly so we were not rushed to finish our appetizer for the salads etc. The GM stopped by and gave us some more history of the family, the original restaurant and the current location. It was a fantastic meal with fantastic service with a fantastic staff and a really great location/building! We will be heading back there sooner rather than later!
