They treat you like family. Good food. Nice ambience. Good size servings. Senior menu is great. Great pizza.
Our occasion was niece, grand niece were moving to Nova Scotia --- Grandpa was going to drive plus there was the addition of a large dog to go too. Departure date was last Sunda y and it would pretty much take a week to drive there.... So not to interfere with packing and so on, Auntie Sharon arranged for dinner on the Tuesday night..... it was delightful.......... thank you to everyone concerned...
Involtini is a decent neighbourhood location. It could be sooo much more with the addition of some spice, garlic and zip to their offerings.
Sauces lacking “something” ... garlic???
Prices are high for pastas ( $20 for a half-sized shrimp linguine dish - Murray’s Firecracker ).
Caesar salad this week was like it came from a bag and lacked freshness.
Service was sloppy at first; waiter was in such a rush he splashed some of my 9oz white wine as he “flew by” to serve it.
Sticky Toffee is AMAZING!
Decent but could really be something due to its great location.
Sort of hit-and-miss.
We celebrated some birthdays and an anniversary. The food was very good as was the service. An old favorite of the family. Come whenever we're in town.
My Husband and I had such a great time. The food was amazing and the service was as well. Will definitely make this pretty little restaurant one of our favourites!
Tammy and Gerry do an excellent job of keeping Involtini current in what they offer on the menu and the quality of the meals they serve.
AlwYs enjoy an evening out at Involtini. Definitely worth giving this restaurant a try! A great gem in Oakridge!
This restaurant never disappoints!
The menu, the service and the presentation is top rate!
We will be back soon!
Food was delicious but not hot however busy night and we were compensated which was appreciated.
Fantastic food and a great atmosphere. Gerry and Tammy seem to make everyone feel like they’ve known them for years.
Fine Dining, excellent ambiance ... amazing time for a first Visit ....and excellent food !
We are regulars at Involtini...the food and the service are always great. For the very first time, my entree was cold but we love the place so much that we won't let this one off stop us from going back :-)
Love this restaurant but unfortunately service was not good this time around. Hope for better in the future, but the food was delicious
This was a very special occasion and a special announcement. The service and food was excellent.
We enjoyed the quaint restaurant! Friendly service!
One of my favourite small restaurants in Calgary. One of the traits of European restaurants is that you are not rushed (a meal can last hours), and there is no rush here. One of the reasons we like it. Food is always great and staff is always very friendly. Have been quite a few times, and will continue to go as long as Calgary is home!
I can't believe we have been living in the sw for so long and haven't been to involtini earlier. Since the first dine we already returned twice more. The offerings are superb. Doesn't matter if we ordered appetizers, mains or the pizza dishes all came with hearty portions, concise prep and a combination of traditional and innovative tastes. Truly deserves the title neighborhood gem.
Authentic Italian cuisine in a relaxed setting with wonderful service. Food was very good on the whole although my dessert left a lot to be desired. Starter of roasted brie with maple syrup and caramelized onions was a nice fusion of Canadian and Italian. The main courses (we both tried different Involtinis) were nice but not spectacular. My desert was a let down. A poor crepe wrapped around a lump of ice cream. The orange peppercorn sauce was fine but there should have been less than half the amount of ice cream. I am a big eater and only got through half.
I chose this restaurant after reviewing some sites and I am so happy with my experience. They were friendly, professional and had great recommendations. I can't say enough good things. I have found a new place to celebrate with friends and family.
First time visit for an early Valentine's Day dinner. Good reviews on OpenTable were confirmed. Great service. Great food. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!
The reason I am impressed with every meal I enjoy at Involtini’s is because the dish is hand crafted for me after I place my order! Fresh food, beautifully created and plated. No wonder I do not go elsewhere!
Took my wife for her birthday 23 Jan. As always, a very enjoyable experience. Good drink specials throughout the week, great food and service. The ambiance is relaxing and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Have been before and will certainly go again.
We are regulars at Involtini and always enjoy the food and the friendly service . Gerry and Tammie are the owners and they make everyone feel welcome. We recommend Involtini to friends and we bring people visiting Calgary from out of town on business. We've organized business Christmas parties there and they've been successful both times.
Went for a Date night and had a great experience. Kitchen was backed up a bit as they were full but they let us know immediately and still took great care of us.
We went to this restaurant for the first time on NYE. As such, the menu was a fixed 5 course dinner. The gnocchi appetizer was amazing as was the warm spinach salad! The Amuse Bouche was interesting as the flavours were unique but not very traditional. Beef tenderloin was slightly overlooked for our taste but still good. Desserts of chocolate cake and cassata were nice finishes. We were surprised by the flavours of all the courses as we were expecting a more traditional meal but we did enjoy this one. We will have to return to try the regular menu!
A great neighborhood restaurant! Friendly staff, of course we've been going for so long it's like we are almost family. The New Years Eve set menu was fabulous!
Always a comfortable favourite for dining. High quality ingredients and beautifully presented. Over the years tried many different dishes and find it tough to choose, have never been disappointed.
My wife and I ate here based on the good reviews. The service was incredibly slow. We were there for nearly 3 hours to have an appetizer dinner and dessert. The server was friendly enough but the slow service really killed that aspect. My beef was supposed to have blue cheese in it but really it was my blue cheese that had a little bit of beef. Blue cheese as an overpowering flavor and that's all I could taste in my entire meal. I couldn't even tell you what kind of meat was wrapped around the cheese because I couldn't taste it. My wife's dish was overly consumed by sauce to the point where you couldn't tell what was underneath it. She had the veal with lobster sauce and I had the beef involtini. The wine list was nice and that was probably the best part of our evening was sipping on that bottle of French wine. We ordered the baked brie which was absolutely drenched in a syrupy type sauce and it was all you could taste. It took away from all the flavor of the Brie. The tiramisu had some kind of a Berry sauce poured over it which really doesn't mix well with the coffee flavor that the tiramisu should have. My wife had some kind of wrap with ice cream in it and strawberries over top. It was so jammed with ice cream and was served so hot that the ice cream literally melted into a pool of Milky goo. At first glance the Ambiance in the restaurant is incredible and we were very excited. However the extremely slow service and the subpar food disappointed us and it was not worth the money. We had read that it was a Hidden Gem but perhaps it should stay hidden. Based on my first trip there I'm not sure I would spend my money to take a second trip there for dinner to see if maybe it was an off night.
The food here is out of this world good. Had the involtini (chicken) last time and it was so good. Everything is excellent from the pizza to the calamari. The atmosphere is soft and romantic and the staff are great.
Excellent as usual. We went with of friends (their first visit) and they loved it.
This is one of our favourite restaurants. Food is excellent and the owners always make you feel welcome and special. Watch for specials during the week which only increases the value!!!
Great food and service. So impressed with our server, he was the only one working and did an amazing job.
We like the seniors menu but feel that dessert should be included. The veal dish was nice however, too sweet. Caesar salad not too great but the other one offered was marvelous.
We are seniors from the area and fine this a nice venue in our area.
Great as usual. Love the family feeling from all.
Excellent! Delightful service and wonderful food!
Very good restaurant (food and service). Lobster risotto and Chicken Involtini was delicious. Nice choice of wines. Only complaint was that we were stuck in a corner table and it was very tight seating and claustrophobic.
My husband and I had another lovely meal at Involtini. I had the beef tenderloin and he had the salmon Involtini. Both meals were amazing. Service was a little slow as they were very busy but we didn’t mind as we were relaxed and enjoying our time to chat over drinks.
We shared and enjoyed the asparagus baked "fries", the beef involtini and the pear/prosciutto pizza. All were very delicious. The staff were very friendly, professional and attentive. I would recommend this place for take out pizza or a nice eat in meal.
We always choose from the "seniors" menu (soup or salad with a main course) and it's always just right.
Amazing food and great staff. Very nice ambience! The Italian food was handcrafted to perfection. It was an artwork and very tasty!
The food, service, and atmosphere were all impeccable. Very friendly and very warm. We will be there in the future!
