Mothers day brunch. We were slightly disappointed that they ran out of desserts but overall a nice way to spend part of mothers day!
Attended Mother's Day brunch. Food was good, but limited selection. Dessert table was mostly empty the whole time. Not very well managed. Ran out of food, dishes, etc. Service was really bad, considering all we needed was beverages and the check! I wouldn't recommend brunch here for a special occasion because I don't think they manage it well when it's a big crowd. For what you get, it's pretty pricey!
They did not have enough staff working.. As most people had reservations and there were quite a few tables, I assume they knew how crowded it would be.. Try and staff it accordingly... Many tables spent their time asking for a waiter/waitress. Not just us...We waited for over 25 minutes for our bill after asking for it 5 times....One person we asked twice... The selection was minimal and the dessert table was awful...There were little stale chocolate candies, mini cookies and the other plates were empty and not sure if they were ever refilled...It looked like leftovers from a wedding reception the night before.. Live and learn.. Won't attend a brunch there again, especially for a special occasion (Mother's Day)......
Was not told that we would be seated in the ballroom at a small bridge table. The food was great. Attentive but not well trained service. Ambiance was poor and should not have carried the hefty price tag as the main dining room
We went for Mother's Day brunch and were disappointed for what was served compared to the price charged. Many of the items were out and we had to either keep going up or just giving up on them. They needed more servers as although they were nice they were spread thin and we had long delays to get refills on drinks. One of the biggest issues was that the tables for 4 were very small and with a center piece on the table plus glasses there was hardly any room on the table or underneath for legs. The first table that we were given was a rickety card table which swayed back and forth when anyone touched it. It was an exercise to get moved. The food quality was good, items hot and servers were very nice. Again for what was being charged I would have expected a bit more variety, they would make sure that items were stocked and there were plenty of servers.
Mothers Day is not a fair way to judge a restaurant. It is a very busy day, hard to get experienced staff, and supply and demand affects pricing. I thought the food was above average for an event brunch. I loved their deserts all exceptional. The Los was Amazon. Generous shrimp. A little pricey but hey it was a last minute reservation at an event hotel brunch on mothers day with large tables for groups and all you can eat. Hot and cold items, well made and omelet bar. I would go again.
Horrible experience at Easter Brunch. Had a 1:30 seating and the service was awful. The "bottomless" mimosas were far from it. It took forever just to get a second one. Coffee was forgotten. Couldn't get a spoon for a good 20 minutes -- despite asking both a server and a manager for one. The photo booth and girl running it were great. But save your money and save the aggravation and go somewhere else.
We ate at Intercontinental for Easter brunch. The food was decent but not worth the price. The thing that really ruined the experience was the service. In an hour and a half we only had a manager stop by twice to fill drinks. The server literally never came the entire meal, despite the fact that we complained about nobody stopping by to the hostess 15 minutes in. They charged a mandatory 18% service charge, which seems excessive for a buffet but was absurd in our case. I would definitely not recommend this buffet (which is a shame because we really like their restaurant, Kil@wat).
Very disappointed with the variety of food and quality -:(
We did their Easter brunch for a second year in a row, and it was night and day. The prices went up, for less variety of food. Ordered unlimited mimosas again, but it was like pulling teeth to get refills. I'm not sure that we will do this brunch again.
Long waits for beverages and they screwed up our bill several times
Brunch was awesome. Enjoyed the food and the company. Would go back again.
Great brunch. Even better service and at price that was far more reasonable than I would have expected for a hotel restaurant. Definitely will be back again. Looking forward to a dinner there.
The brunch was fantastic, as was the service. Don't sleep on the mini creme brulees.
The Mother's Day brunch was an excellent selection of items that were all delectable. Omelette Bar, Hot Breakfast Buffet, Fruit and Dessert stations, and excellent pork and prime rib cuts. Bring your wallet though. With tip it exceeded $50 per person.
Despite a lost reservation, this was a good Mother's Day brunch.
The brunch was nice, but our server Natalia was terrible. She made the experience much less desirable than I believe it could've been. There was actually another server who wasn't ours who helped us more than our own. Beautiful place to go for any event.
We booked the Intercontinental brunch after doing a search of all Milwaukee downtown brunches. We had a reservation and were seated immeadiately upon arrival. The staff was kind, courteous and attentive, especially with the number of tables per server. Hot food was hot, chilled food was chilled and all stations were stocked well. We chose this brunch because they offered tenderloin at the carving station and it did not disappoint. We added on the mimosa package for an additional $13 for endless servings, worth it, since each drink was $7. The coffee served was a treat, great flavor.
Being that it was Easter there were lots of kids and the Easter Bunny. The Bunny meet and greet was all done in the large entry hall area. Brilliant! Parents and kids could do that all without disturbing the main dining hall. Kudos to the parents for raising well mannered kids that attended. The kids had fun and ran around a bit, as they should, but did not take away from an enjoyable meal. I love good parents!
All and all a great experience and will not hesitate coming back if in Milwaukee for Easter.
We made reservations for the Easter buffet brunch but were told they were sold out and that they couldn't honor our Open Table reservations. We had brunch in the restaurant and it was good but not what we had planned on.
