Had a full dinner at the bar- good food and good service

The food was delicious, creative, and fresh. Our waiter, Juan Carlos, was terrific! Go!

This was not our first time at Inovasi and the service and menu selections were outstanding !!
Th menu recently updated, on a regular basis uses mostly local source for food selections which makes the freshness of the menu items stand out. There was added a sushi menu that was varied and affordable. I enjoyed the Inovasi burger which was fantastic. Best burger I have enjoyed. This a great local dining spot that should not be missed.

Another great tasting experience! Absolutely loved the new spring 2018 additions to the menu, in particular the duck and the baked Alaska style carrot cake!

Attentive service, outstanding food. The new menu selections were all so good. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Great night with friends. Looking forward to our next visit.

This beautiful restaurant was the perfect background with fabulous small and medium sized entrees to celebrate my son's Navy Graduation. I was hopeful for a wonderful dining experience, and was more than elated at the delicious cuisine, exceptional service, and overall ambiance of the restaurant. This area of Illinois is very lucky indeed, to have this gem to call local!

Lamb was excellent. Would have appreciated a bolder red like a Malbec or Bordeaux, but not available.

I’ve heard nothing but raves about this place. I was seriously disappointed.

The overall ambience was clean and modern, with a distinctly Asian flair. But the hard surfaces increased the ambient sound levels to such an extent that conversation was difficult if not impossible.

The food was highly variable. The Salmon tartar was interesting, and the mussels tasty. The lamb, however, was more fat and gristle than meat, and dry as well. The crazy-Salmon roll was both bland and cloying. The desserts (berries and sponge cake, and a “crepe broule” style custard) were bland, while the Carmel vanilla ice cream was most engaging.

The service was slow, surly, and sloppy, including a ten-minute wait for soy sauce ordered because the chef believes his sushi is already appropriately seasoned. Apparently our taste buds differ.

And the portions for the lamb - a doubled medium plate - were distinctly small.

All in all, a very poor return for the money. I will not be returning.

Fantastic restaurant! Palate pleasing, well prepared food from locally sourced ingredients. A true suburban gem!

The food was amazing. We had the family style meal, which was chefs choice. It couldn’t have been any better. And the amount we paid, was pennies on the dollar anywhere else. It was a truly thoughtful meal, and the entire staff should be proud of their efforts.

We recently celebrated our 20th anniversary at Inovasi. We chose the tasting menu and I had the wine pairing. Both were an excellent value. We both thought this was one of our best meals ever. There was a huge variety and amount of food (they had to box up an entire course for us) and the quality was outstanding - very interesting and innovative flavor combinations and spices. It was obvious that great care went into the planning of every dish. We would love to return.

This much-touted restaurant seemed just right for our table of six for a birthday dinner. Staff forgot birthday occasion, as well as refilling water, clearing stacks of used dishes, or delivery of dinner courses in any kind of order. Silverware was set down without matching the courses. Food is heavily salted, even if nobody is able to see their food in the dark spaces. Only the bread from Hewn was delicious. Tables are jammed close together making it near impossible for staff to serve or to pick up plates, or for anyone to walk around without having to stop to back up or jam into a group’s space to let others pass by. So customers use mobile phone flashlights, adding to the shouting-loud ambiance. Our table was waited on by a humorless, unfriendly and rarely-seen person who added nothing to our celebration. Two out of six meals made the grade, the rest were too salty to know what they were. For these high prices, we will find better food and service elsewhere.

Disappointing experience. Service was slow and spotty. Lights dimmed during dinner to such an extent that diners had to pull out their flashlights to read the menus. Food seemed to focus more on appearance than taste with food combinations that didn’t really work. We were a table of six and tried a variety of items including the calamari, bruschetta, forcaccia, crispy chicken, brisket, burger and steak and found problems with every dish. Too bad as we had been excited to try this restaurant given the lunch items we have had at its backdoor location. We won’t be back.

Inovasi is a favorite restaurant of ours and, once again, the dining experience was thoroughly enjoyable. Service with cocktails was fast and we were given enough time to enjoy them and share an order of burrata cheese, toasts and several toppings. We chose between medium and large plates for our entrees. The large entrée of restaurant-made pasta was almost too large to finish considering that desert was also to be ordered. My wife and I plan to dine there again within a month at the latest.

We loved Inovasi! Our server Ana was knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us through the menu. Our drinks (margarita and raspberry smash) were delicious and our food (snapper sashimi, ceviche, sushi sampler, brisket, and carrot cake for dessert) excellent.

As always we had a great meal and ran into friends of ours.

I am totally loving the chicken sandwich at the moment and the fries are delicious. This was a lunch date with a girlfriend for a catch up and was perfect! The team there are always welcoming and friendly.

Always high quality food here. Very creative menu. The kids-menu steak medallions my 3 year old son had was better than some specialty steak houses I've been to. Best calamari I have ever had, not deep fried, perfectly done. Also tried sushi/sashimi menu for first time. Excellent and exciting flavor combinations.

Very impressed! It had been a few months since we last ate here. It’s always been good to great. Tonight was excellent!

We came in on a Tuesday night during "Customer Appreciation Week" and the place was full and kind of noisy, but despite this the service was still pretty good, attentive. And the food was still very good--especially liked the salmon tartare, which is a deconstructed version and the scallops, and their version of carrot cake with salted caramel ice cream is outstanding. It's a bit of a trek from where we live but always worth it.

We are so lucky to have Inovasi on the North Shore. The restaurant is very generous and has recently completed another very successful annual Customer Appreciation Week. We frequently go the restaurant and as early birds, choose to sit in the bar area for our dinners and it is a very popular choice so we always appreciate that they allow us to make reservations for the bar. The servers are busy but never disappoint. We love to share the small plates and usually choose a favorite and something new each time... This past week we tried the crispy chicken and WOW it was great and for vegetarians, highly recommend their lasagna. Our only wish? Please bring back the adult grilled cheese, if not on the regular menu, maybe add it back to the bar menu!

It was half price week so a chance to push the boat out on a random Monday and have the $42 scallops and pork belly. That was good - greens were a little salty for my taste but the rest was delicious.
Atmosphere was great tonight - the restaurant was full.

Wonderful gluten-free options, almost the entire menu is naturally gluten-free or can be made gluten-free easily. The GF desserts are AMAZING, I had the season carrot cake this time and it was delicious. Good selection of wines and beers, unique cocktail choices. Love their seasonal menus and their use of fresh, local ingredients. We eat here both for special occasions and sometimes just for a nice dinner out. Never had a bad experience in our 3 years patronizing this restaurant.
