Staff was very accommodating Heath Lagrone went above and beyond providing excellent service. Executive chef Zach and his team are the definition of five star dining.

Had Family from England visiting and we went for lunch. It is one of the most beautiful settings within travel distance from Houston. Food always excellent and service always excellent. Wagyu burger is always wonderful. Great cheese platter. Ingredients very local, usually on site. Extensive wine list, fair price.
Disappointing. Couldn’t fix drinks for lunch. Good salad, but didn’t fix bread that day. Service & view great, but weren’t ready for guests.

Went for NYE dinner. Very nice if you like tablespoon sized portions. Main course rib eye was riddled with stringy gristle. Not the sort of quality I would expect for the outrageous price paid. The fish course was Luke warm. Overall, the food was disappointing considering the tab was $250 per person before drinks and tax.

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch here at the Inn at Dos Brisas. We were the only patrons in the dining room - and we were well taken care of. The food was perfection. We will definitely return for a longer stay and another meal.
Service was great but lunch menu very limited. Restaurant was empty on a Saturday. Dos Brisas is nice but overrated. There's not much to do. Worth checking once but not more.
Had seen inn at dos brisas mentioned favorably some time ago, it is 1.5 hr from our house so this was our first opportunity to go. The setting on a ranch outside of brenham is gorgeous, and the restaurant is very attractive. Service throughout the 2+ hr experience was exceptional (greeting , seating, drinks, meal and beverages). The meal was four courses with add-ons sent from the kitchen, everything was well-prepared and creatively displayed. There is an emphasis on farm-to-table so most of the food served was gathered on the property. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely visit again.
The restaurant at the Inn at Dos Brisas delivers! The place is in quaint Washington, TX close to the tiny town of Chapel Hill. The Inn is a beautiful and relaxing setting surrounded by luscious pasture and farmland. The restaurant is small and cozy. The waiting staff are attentive and amiable. Overall, this is a perfect spot for a romantic dinner getaway.
For dinner they serve a set-price four course meal (you choose your four courses from their menu) which consists mostly of ingredients farmed at the property - you cannot get fresher than that! This restaurant is the true embodiment of farm-to-table. The food tastes spectacular and the presentation is beautiful. The highlight of my meal was the homemade made Agnolotti di Bietola. Their homemade bread and butter are also spectacular.
The menu is bargain priced at $65 if you go any night other than Friday and Saturday (when the price is $95). Honestly $95 for the menu is a very fair price for the quality and setting you get. Please note that they do add 18% charge for service, no matter how big or small your party is. Overall, this place is highly recommended and well worth the drive.
Right at the top of my fine dining experiences - anywhere in the world. The pastry chef, who makes all of their bread fresh daily, trained at Bouchon in Napa. She's a native Texan, and is given free range to express her talents, which are beyond impressive. I'd say inspirational! She should give classes there at the site. The food was at the level of any Michelin starred kitchen - and at a 2 Star level IMHO. Will be back for sure.
The setting is also DIVINE - hope to eat later and outdoors at the infinity pool overlooking horses in the fields :)
Lovely location, a wonderful selection of courses of fabulous food and service rarely seen in restaurants anymore. It was a long way out there but we thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Easily the most romantic place in the area. Food is almost 100% locally sourced, exquisitely prepared/presented, definitely worth the drive, and service is beyond 1st class. If you get the chance, stay in one of their casitas.

Fabulous experience. Well worth the drive. The ambiance was lovely. We sat outside on the patio which was sheltered from the wind. The wine list was quite good and we had no difficulty selecting something appropriate for the meal. Food was expertly prepared, fresh, and well presented. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We will definitely be back.

Service was excellent, but overall, it was quite a disappointment. The food was average, wine was incredibly over priced and the restaurant was almost empty, which does not make for a great dining experience. Definitely would not recommend to others.

This is a wonderful place for special occasions. I believe it is the only 5-Star restaurant in Texas, and well worth the drive to the beautiful grounds in Chappel Hill. You'll find unique, grown on site offerings that are prepared in inventive ways and absolutely wonderful. A friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere.
The dinning experience at Dos Brisas is one of a kind. It is expensive, but for the special occasion it is worth it. Expect to be pampered and amazed with the organic foods that are grown right on the grounds. The dining experience will excite foodies.
Our meal at Inn at Dos Brisas has been long in the planning. We have wanted to eat here for years. We chose brunch due to the price and the 1.5 hour drive one way. Being a joint birthday weekend and a long-distance marriage means a lot of meals out when we are together. Brunch was friendlier to the pocketbook for this meal. The amuse-bouche was creative and incredible - a miniature arancini and a chicken skin cracker with tomato jam. We then had the butternut squash soup and the avocado bialy. Our entrees were the fried chicken with blue corn grits and the duck hash. For dessert we had the chocolate cremeux and the cheese platter. We enjoyed two glasses of wine and we each had a Bloody Mary - mine with vodka and my husband's with tequila. If we had one complaint it would be the Bloody Mary mix, which is made in-house with farm fresh produce. Bloody Mary mix is full of flavor and spices. The Inn's in-house mix is all tomato and needed salt to enhance the flavor. The soup looks like butternut squash and is the best tasting soup we've ever had. My husband relished the hash and my chicken was likely the moistest chicken I've ever eaten. We sat on the patio and relished in the fall weather and the beautiful scenery that this dining spot has to offer. The portions were substantial, but not overly so. We even took a walk around the restaurant and lounged in the yard before eating our dessert. A brunch is completely doable on a Sunday and with the weather we've had lately, the drive and location is a treat. For dinner or for unfriendly Texas weather, stay at a hotel or at the Inn, if your budget allows. The meal and hospitality are by far one of the best one can savor and enjoy.
Exceptional restaurant. The view from the patio overlooking the pastures and the ranch was amazing. Very creative food and exceptionally prepared. Sommelier did an excellent job of selecting individual wines for us even though my wife and I each had 4 different courses. The chicken skin was exceptional; not greasy and was also utilized in butter for the bread. The brioche amuse bouche topped with caviar was excellent. Fresh vegetables from the garden were incorporated into most of the dishes. Perfectly cooked duck. Salad with house cured bacon lardons and a sous vide egg was excellent. Razor clam with whitefish (?and salmon) roe was well done. Had the wagyu from marble ranch; excellent. Corn fritter and corn sorbet were amazing. Will be back; wish it were closer but took less than an hour from 610/290 crossing.
Went with friends while having a B&B getaway in Brenham, were thrilled we could get reservations at what was supposed to be an exclusive place. Despite the rustic setting out in the country, we were told that jackets were required for men. Overall, the food was good but not great, & the pretentiousness of the staff gave things a bit of an "aftertaste." The place was not busy at all, but they also rushed us out, rather than allowing us to linger over coffee & enjoy conversation. All of us agreed that the experience was too expensive, too self-important & not worth it.
Without a doubt , the best dining experience I've ever had .
Would go again and recommend to anyone who likes quality food and dining experience.
I'm not sure how to provide a 'rating' that would be fair / accurate: I anticipate that my reason for going was quite different than their normal guests. The story....In planning a week in San Antonio & Austin, my research found Dos Brisas. I thought it could be a neat side trip to have a '5 star' lunch experience, despite it requiring a 2 hr. drive from Austin, followed by a 3.5 hr. drive back to St.Antonio. Logistically, this is much closer for Houston-ites.
For a meal, I will say it was worth going, but not for the usual reasons. I believe the allure would be great if you were staying there, and more fully experiencing what they provide, and that the meals were the icing. Moreover, if you live in the Houston area, all the better.
Cons: my table napkin was badly stained with something and needed replacing; our server's newly-forming English required a re-order. the food was good...just not a 5 hour drive good.
e. g., I'm about 5 hrs drive from the Inn at Little Washington in VA (and a much nicer drive), not to mention 2 hours from anywhere in Manhattan. But, overall I'd say definitely '4 star', just not '5 star'. To critique myself, I'd say that we probably did not have a proper sampling of what they offer.
Pros: The setting and overall grounds were Very quiet and serene (we were the only ones eating.); the wine list is robust and very fairly priced (e.g., comparing their listings to some of the 1970's first growth Bordeaux I have); the overall pricing is certainly lower than you'd pay for anything '5 star' in a city hotel or on either coast; the "Texas Peach Pie" dessert was the one item that blew us away and deserved 5 stars.
So, glad I went; wonderful place; very good food.

After waiting about two weeks for a reservation, claiming to be booked or not available, when we arrived and left, we were the only party ( of two).
The reception was very warm, the attendant quite pleasant and helpful.
The food was outstanding, a Tasting Menu of 8 courses, perhaps too much, but every one of them delicious.
The cocktail list online had featured the Sazerac, one of my husband's favorite cocktails, but they had no absinthe, so they could not make it.
The prices are very high, both for food and wine.
For a special occasion ( my husband's birthday, and nothing special was offered, not even a candle on the dessert), it is very nice, but may not warrant a return due to price and distance from metro areas.
The wait staff (Stephanie and Jean) were absolutely wonderful. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.
Desired a place that did not require a 9 hour flight. Presentation of food, list of wines, service were outstanding. Lobster roll, skimpy, the flat iron steak the best. Would choose this place above the Sandal's Couples Only Resorts. Out of 9 tables only 3 were occupied allowing us to have some quiet downtime. Told Elijah it was our anniversary when I made the reservation, would have appreciated an extra touch for our special celebration. Brunch for 2 = $225.00.
We have been several times and find the Inn at Dos Brisas to be not just a destination but an experience. The owners and general manager are gracious and genuinely care about their guests. The menu was a wonderful tasting experience and deserving of the Relais & Chateux recognition. The service was impeccable with Ashley taking extraordinary care of us. If you love exquisite food and great service there is no better place in the Houston area.
