All was fantastic except under cooked French toast. I should have sent back but chose to eat only the crusts.

The combination of brunch choices, the atmosphere and the leisurely pace we moved through the courses was well worth the visit. My wife and I have had brunch here several times and the experience has been great each time.

The Inn at Barley Sheaf never disappoints - their food has always been phenomenal, whether it’s dinner or brunch, it’s delicious and creative! Their ingredients are fresh and everything we have had there has been cooked perfectly, super flavorful, and unique! Their brunch is great - you pay per person and then you can order as much as you want a la carte and it’s all cooked fresh. Plus they’ll give you a complimentary mimosa or fresh OJ! The chefs do a great job getting the food out quick, and the staff are always extremely polite, quick, and hospitable. Service is always 10/10. I would recommend Barley Sheaf to everyone!

If you are a vegetarian call ahead as there are no real options. Not for vegans. Portions are small so you need to order several courses which makes it pricey. Complex flavors and small menu makes this restaurant not for the immature food palate. Eat a late lunch before you go so you are not starving.

Quiet table, Pat took great care of us, answered many questions about dietary concerns. Excellent flavorings, wonderful combinations, and great dessert!! Cannot go wrong with great chocolate with chocolate. Romantic old inn, quiet room, need to return in summer when we can see the grounds at sunset,

What a lovely spot ,
and so worth it --
worth the drive from wherever you are,
worth the slightly higher prices (but really, only slightly higher).
Everyone is cordial and inviting and accommodating,
and this young chef -- whose food we'd enjoyed when he was at Lacroix -- is super talented.
The food is fresh,
creative but never pretentious,
and delicious.
Despite the high level at which everyone is operating, it is a very laid back, cozy atmosphere.

Grab a bottle (or 2) of your favorite wine
and go -- soon.
...because you'll want to go back, soon!!

Just discovered the restaurant in this inn and it is worth the time and money. Owners and wait staff are amazing, and the food selection and preparation put this place above anything nearby. Really unique and magnificent flavors. Pleasantly surprised to find artwork by uber talented Dot Bunn in the inn!

Really nice experience overall. Restaurant is not huge but tables are comfortably apart so you don’t feel on top of each other. Appetizers were better than mains but generally good throughout. The Bibb Lettuce appetizer, surprising, was outstanding. Served whole, delicately dressed, very flavorful. The special grilled octopus was also delicious. The elk was a little dry; the waitress warned us to go rare, which we did, but still a little dry as it is so lean. Glad we tried it nonetheless. The wild bass with smoked mussels was a little on the salty side. Not a huge dessert selection but interesting choices. Definitely a place to go for a special occasion or a treat out.

If there is one restaurant in Bucks that might qualify for a Michelin star were it in a major city, it is Barley Sheaf. We've been here for dinner several times since it opened, and it continues to get more polished over time. Its foie gras and soup apps and desserts, for example, are the stuff of top-flight establishments in culinarily vibrant urban centers.

Mains are invariably worthy, although the likes of Wagyu steak, elk, duck and other meats on the regular menu can struggle being shoehorned between standout courses. Thankfully, this course is often elevated to the kitchen's highest standard by the daily mains special. If you're really fortunate, you'll be there when something really weird-sounding is being offered either on the menu or as a special. Whatever it is, go for it, as the chef soars when his inner werewolf is released.

The setting is naturally relaxed and pleasant without trendy gimmickry. During daylight hours the visual setting of this venerable stone hideaway just adds to the environmental serenity. Service is also exceptional: polished without being pretentious, yet friendly. A gratuity of 18 percent is included -- even if most folks appear to leave something extra.

Figure around $100/person, plus anything you wish beyond the 18% included tip. Reservations are virtually a necessity, although OpenTable will indicate when there are last-minute openings, notably on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Footnote: The restaurant, as described above, is exceptional, and that's what you'll get via OpenTable. However, much of the parent establishment's business is catered events. These are well above the norm for catered food, but nowhere equal to the restaurant itself.

This was our third visit to Barley Sheaf Farm for their Sunday Brunch. The food was excellent once again, so I feel confident giving them a 5 star review. Our server was not as attentive as previous visits, but still a wonderful experience. I love that it is an all-you-care-to-eat brunch without being a buffet. The moderate portions allow you to enjoy two separate entrees without becoming over-stuffed. Simply delicious!

No one recognized the fact that it was my wife’s birthday. The meal seemed rushed. My wife’s Wagyu beef, which by definition should be tender, was tough and served barely warm.

We have had lovely meals in the past, but this occasion was a disappointment.

This team is really hitting on all cylinders. Even though the restaurant was busy, it didn’t detract from the food or service quality. My octopus appetizer was fabulous and we both had the wagyu beef - done perfectly

Have been to the Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm four times now in the span of 11 months. It is not only a restaurant, but a B&B. Beautiful setting and close to nearby Peddlers Village. The owners here are omnipresent and will make appearances to your table, in a way that makes you feel like family. The kitchen is the star of the show, however, from the executive chef on down. These folks know what they're doing, and it is evidenced by the flavors they put before you. Combined with a friendly and congenial wait staff, makes for a most pleasant dining experience. The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm should be on your list.

Four of us dined here last Saturday, and had a great experience. Service was impeccable; our entrées arrived all at the same time, and servers were helpful with explaining specials and making sure that we were satisfied with everything. Our dishes were full of inventive flavors and original takes on favorite foods. The atmosphere is homey; you enter the building and find yourself in a living room, complete with holiday-decorated fireplace and sofas to relax in during the brief wait for you table. We have been here twice and will certainly return.

This is our second trip to The Barley Sheaf and it won't be our last. We enjoyed this trip as much as our previous visit. The menu was different, but we love that the chef uses seasonal ingredients and changes his preparation of his main dishes to suit the season. Perfect place for a special occasion!
