Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm
Parisian Gnocchi, King Crab, Meyer Lemon, Lobster Bisque
Housemade Cinnamon Bread French Toast
Blackened Shrimp, Farro and Corn Risotto, Chorizo Bacon Marmalade
Beautiful setting outside with attentive staff and management.
Disappointing. The portions at brunch were insultingly tiny for what they over charged. Service was haphazard. The door you enter through was like walking through someone’s messy living room. Would never go back.
As always, exceptional. This is our go to restaurant for special occasions as mark and Dana go above and beyond in all aspects. If you haven’t been here, do yourself a favor and go.
The Barley Sheaf Farm is an excellent dining experience. A fresh menu is created by a chef who knows and understands quality and attention to detail. A husband and wife owner team who are truly committed to their business. In my opinion, one of the best dining experiences in our region.
Booked a table for my Mother's 92nd birthday. We were looking forward to the dinner because of reviews from friends and their menu (on the website). Sounded delicious! Loved the tree lined driveway! They need to improve on signage: where to park, designate 1-2 handicap spots, where's the entrance (current sign faded). Entered into a very cluttered room which led you to another cluttered room where we were greeted by the hostess. She was friendly and inquired whose birthday we were celebrating. Staff were friendly and the water boy did a great job at refilling our glasses. Our waiter ignored my Mother - spoke only to me. Why the snub? My Mother is an active independent woman who can speak for herself. Dinner room was pretty. We were seated by the windows overlooking their gardens (no flowers).
Dinner menu very limited: 3 choices for first and second courses and 5 entree choices. My Mother ordered a salad and I had the crab special. If I wasn't told what it was I would have thought I was eating wet tunafish. Dish was salty! Dinner entrees were small in portion. My Mother had the Wild King Salmon and I had the Lamb. Nothing special about either one. Waiter made a big deal about the 2 lamb ribs that accompanied the loin - honey glazed fat with tiny portion of lamb - diners give more meat! Dessert was 3 choices, all chocolate but the one could be made non chocolate. We are both allergic to chocolate so we ordered one almond cake with sweet corn ice cream. We asked for cappuccino but they do not offer cappuccino nor espresso. I ordered decaf tea and was presented with a box of assorted tea brands with minimal decaf choices. The dessert was stale and tasteless! Melting ice cream is not pleasing. We will not be returning. Food: average to poor. Value: exorbitant for quality. Presentation: average. Service: fair. This is not a restaurant that's worth a 2 month wait for a reservation. Book a table at Joseph Ambler Inn or Augosto's for an enjoyable dinner!
Beautiful place, wonderful service, and delicious, creative food. Couldn’t ask for better! Thank you so much!
The food is some of the best in the area. When we go to Barley Sheaf, we feel like we are in a peaceful European countryside. Love it there.
Everything about our visit was terrific. The food and services were exceptional. Highly recommended.
The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farms is truly an exceptional dining experience. It is always our first choice for celebration dinners of any sort—-birthdays, anniversaries—whatever the occasion, it is always a fabulous evening in all respects. The menu and food pairings/courses are truly the most creative we have experienced, anywhere in the world. We will keep coming back! Highly recommend!
Always one of the best BYOBs in the region. Food and service is the best. Servers really know the food.
Consistently the best fine dining in Bucks County. Barley Sheaf offers a imaginative menu which features local ingredients. The recipes are prepared with an attention to detail
Definitely a foodie oasis in a rather bleak desert. Highly recommended! BTW, the dinner chef is not the event chef
I have been here twice as I no longer live in Bucks County. Simply put, the food is outrageous! Everything flavor is so unique and unusual. Josh has a gift for understanding what combinations work and you are flavorfully entertained from start to finish. The waitstaff is attentive and down to earth. It's incredible.
We celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary with a FABULOUS meal and exceptional service! Everything was perfect. Thank you so much!
we LOVE this place for all the reasons you want in a fine restaurant meal .......

the foie gras is the finest and i am not really a FG EATER! any beef that u order or even the duck if it is on the menu will be beautifully presented and will taste even more special!!! and the sides that are along with your main choice will all be very special as well!
You can close your eyes and you will think that you are dining in a wonderful restaurant in France!!!!
Always a great meal and experience at Barley Sheaf! Dina and Mark and are gracious hosts
Got seated right away, waitress Judy excellent, owner Mark visited our table. Beautiful night for outdoor dining. Many food choices, everything delicious!
Sweet place....picturesque with excellent food....service wonderful.
Always a pleasure to dine at Barley Sheaf Farm. A warm welcome, comfortable, safe seating, attentive service and imaginative and delicious cuisine await you.
We had a lovely evening at this restaurant with very attentive staff, well prepared courses, and a patio setting that is delightful overlooking beautiful grounds. We felt our courses we served too quickly but when we asked if we could stay and finish our wine, the staff was able to accommodate us on this evening. We will return next time we are in the area.
Beautiful patio surroundings. Service was excellent and the food was good. I would have like more of a brunch selection but understand the limited menu due to covid. We would definitely return.
Our meal was excellent from the moment we arrived until we finished our dessert. Dining there felt like we were family. Can’t wait to go back!
Never disappoints. Lovely atmosphere and great food.
We went for our 8th anniversary and had one of the best meals of our lives. The meal and service were absolutely outstanding. Easily on par with the fanciest restaurants in any big city, but tucked away on a beautiful farm in an historic house.
Great restaurant- the best in the area - very interesting menu with wonderful results
Our favorite spot. First time on the patio which was lovely. Food, service and ambience is very special.
Another amazing experience. Everything- food, service and ambience, all outstanding. We look forward to each and every dining experience at Barley Sheaf.
Brunch was very good, worth the $40 per person, but 4 courses is actually too much food! Chilled pea soup, fava bean toast were both surprisingly delicious. The eggs Benedict was good, but not the best I've had. They also gave us complimentary mimosas and pastries! I would prefer an a la carte breakfast menu to the full 4 courses. Service was excellent! View from the patio and the grounds are gorgeous. My only complaint is, it was a bit hot with no fans, but it was 90 degrees outside today.
Celebrated my husbands birthday with brunch at Barley Sheaf. Everything was absolutely delicious, service impeccable, and environment beautiful!! We loved it so much we decided it would have to be an annual tradition!
Absolutely the best experience, food, and atmosphere I have had in Bucks County. It was all breathtaking.
The Inn never disappoints. The patio dining along a beautiful garden setting is a wonderful bonus. The ONLY fine dining in the area!
Another amazing experience at the Inn. Celebrated my birthday and everything was perfection. Food, service, hospitality. Couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful way to enjoy my special day.
Lovely setting on a porch. The food was excellent.
this place is truly one of a kind. from the moment you gone the driveway, you know you are going to experience something special.
BS inn is ALWAYS the BEST meal in Bucks! EVERYTHING about it is "exceptional"!
the service is fabulous, the choices are wonderful and interesting, the preparation is superb, the presentation is amazing, etc etc etc!
GO, GO, GO! my FAVE!
Had a great night out for my wife's Birthday. Food was excellent.
We have been dining here on a regular basis for the past seven years and have never been disappointed . Great and varied food items and lots of charm! The owners are great people and most of the staff have been there for a long time.
A wonderful place. People were very friendly and helpful, no rush at all to get out. Outstanding food. Looking forward to visiting again after all the COVID restrictions are over.
Outstanding as always!!! The epitome of hospitality in a relaxed unbothered setting. Always accommodating - Mark and Deanna warmly welcome and tend to their guests through the evening. Chef never disappoints with his creative culinary delights. A hidden gem we are lucky to have in Bucks County!
Incredible food and atmosphere. A hidden gem!
