Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm
We went for Brunch and everything was spectacular. the grounds are beautiful, the restaurant is very nice with no tables on top of each other, the service was great and the food spectacular. There were 5 in our party and everyone enjoyed their meal. The Brunch is 3 courses but the Server asks if you want to try any additional items. We did and would have kept eating if we weren't filled. Even the cider donut they gave us each on the way out was great. We will be returning asap!
This is a truly special place and worth a trip. Exquisitely prepared food in a charming, elegant, and comfortable atmosphere. Warm, welcoming service that visits the table just enough and at the right times. Local products are highlighted and at peak flavor.
We have been trying to get a reservation here for a very long time. Service, atmosphere were outstanding. This restaurant fits right into our bucks county area! Food was good but a little salty for me, especially since my husband ordered my dish low salt. Prices on the high side. Over all ok.
Great food, great service. Portions are a little small.
The four of us had an excellent dinner and excellent time here. Everything was done well and the food was was all very good! Look forward to returning for brunch!
We enjoyed our dining experience from beginning to end. The staff is welcoming and genuinely pleasant. The food is fresh and creative served and the dining room is pleasant and relatively quiet. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!
We love this restaurant..... food, setting, and service. The weather was beautiful, so we opted for a ride. Worth every minute.
Unique food selections. Deliciously prepared. It reminds me of the original old French restaurants with their parings and unique combinations and sauces.
We love going to the Barley Sheaf it's is one of our favorite restaurants .We thought it was the best place to celebrate our 30th Aniversary .The foods great it's romantic and than we got a big suprise . The owners Mark and Dena gave us a wonderful anniversary gift they did not give us check . This was a generous act that made our anniversary very special
Wonderful experience top to bottom! Welcomed at the front door by the owner and we’ll taken care of during the entire meal by the fantastic wait staff. Small and cozy dining room with a view of the farm. The food was imaginative and for the quality, fairly priced. We loved this restaurant and plan on returning.
One of our favorite places to go. Amazing food. Fabulous service. And a really wonderful ambiance. One of the few places where my husband (carnivore) and I (veghead) both have a fabulous dinner.
A Bucks County gem! Fine dining in a charming atmosphere with excellent service. The menu is always so interesting and the food delicious and so beautifully plated! Our family favorite for special occasions.
We loved everything about our brunch. The food, service and feel was fantastic! We will be back!
Amazing as usual. We will return as often as possible
This is our second time visiting and everything was as wonderful as the first time. Service (Patrick), atmosphere, and of course the food was superb. Love that it is a BYO! Will definitely be back again.
Perfect Bucks County Inn dining experience. Great place to celebrate an occasion or to enjoy a superb meal in a quiet quaint environment. The staff and owners were very friendly and professional. We celebrated my wife's birthday on a recommendation and she was extremely pleased with the experience. We look forward to returning for brunch in the spring as we will be able to enjoy the views of the grounds.
I ALWAYS recommend BS to everyone! It is a special place to dine and just a complete delight to be there to enjoy a meal. The people are lovely, the food is delicious, the presentation is perfect and the taste is ALWAYS divine. It's a elegant meal from start to finish.
Treat yourself to one of the 2 best restaurants in Bucks!
Excellent service. Delicious food. Wonderful ambience. A great dining experience.
I usually get nervous about 'fancy' and seasonal menus, but everything we tried at BSF at dinner and breakfast was spot-on great!
I enjoy this brunch so much. the choices were interested and some unusual. Everything came hot and delicious. My only complaint would be the potatoes which were way overdone but the bacon was delicious. I had a wonderful arugula salad and a frittata. The pastries that came to the table were a perfect size and very tasty. The price was perfect. Go and enjoy!!!!
Excellent experience all around! Can’t wait to do it again!
The Barley Sheaf is a beautiful inn on a bucolic Bucks farm. The interior has potential, but needs some TLC. The reception room could be lovely, but candlesticks are askew, lightbulbs are burnt out in some wall sconces, and there is a great deal of clutter by the desks. The coat rack to the side of the room also detracts from its elegance. The dining room is also elegant, but again, needs just a little updating. The menu choices are food, and almost all sounds appetizing. The food itself is delicious, but the portion sizes were rather small for what you get. We had three courses each and could left wanting more.
Absolutely perfect experience. Food and service is top shelf. I had the elk, wife had duck, all excellently prepared by the chef who was 10' from us in open kitchen. Owner's are present to enhance your experience. BYOB
We had dinner at Barley Sheaf the day after Valentine's Day. The 1700s inn is quite a romantic setting, especially the front room where there are just a few tables for two. We were slightly early for our reservation, and were invited to sip our wine in the inn's parlor, which includes a display of memorabilia from the inn's many famous guests in the 1930s and 40s. The menu is diverse, and the food is amazing, with everything prepared on-site. I enjoyed a petit lobster tail appetizer special and duck breast entree with root vegetables and a subtle sauce that perfectly complimented the duck. My wife enjoyed a mixed green salad followed by the halibut entree with ramps and its own perfect sauce. Deserts were excellent, and were followed by a plate of selected handmade candies for each of us and a rose for my wife. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. Barley Sheaf does not disappoint.
Friendly. Charming. Size of portions perfect for me
I love Barley Sheaf and spending Valentine's day dining there was a treat. Food was great and Mark and Dina are incredible hosts. It's my favorite restaurant in the area.
From the moment we walked in the door our visit was incredible. We only waited about 5 minutes before we we lead to our table. Appetizers, main course and dessert were nothing short of amazing.
We had a very enjoyable experience. We celebrated birthdays. The restaurant was unpretentious, but special and romantic. The owners of the restaurant came to our table to chat with us. We enjoyed the conversation. The food is amazing! I look forward to going back to the restaurant soon!
Great romantic dinner. Very good food and service. Having the open kitchen it was a little noisy. Overall great night!
I have had the opportunity to dine at several restaurants in the area so my write up is based on my prior experience. Going to Barley my expectation was fine dining with unique ingredients and flavor. I found all 3 courses very bland. The gnocchi was not very good and the poached lobster needed seasoning. The restaurant was quant but the service not to the expected level for true fine dining. It is a nice place with caring management but not to my fine dining standards.
Perfect brunch for our group of friends! Food was amazing and service (Pat and Presley) are gracious perfection! Can’t wait for brunch again as the chef always keeps it interesting and inspiring! I am particularly impressed that we had dinner Saturday night and brunch on Sunday here and had two very different but equally amazing experiences.
Excellent! First time we had dinner there. It was an overall great experience. Food was delicious and service was perfect so very welcoming! Will definitely return!
Whole experience as wonderful as ever. The food is creative and delicious, the ambiance relaxed and elegant, the service efficient and friendly, and the owners as gracious as can be. I love this restaurant and will be back soon.
The best restaurant in Bucks Country. A great meal every time!!
Always love their brunch!
Terrific made-to-order Sunday brunch.
All was fantastic except under cooked French toast. I should have sent back but chose to eat only the crusts.
Everything was perfect. The food was incredible and service was spot on. Can’t say enough good things about our experience.
Fabulous dinner. Highly recommended!
