Infinity Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Convenience is the attraction here, located downstairs from the Infinity Theater which offers great music shows. The bar has a decent selection, but the dinner menu is quite limited. The short ribs were tender and well prepared. My wife had the salmon which was served in a piccatta sauce and she rated just OK. There was one soup on the menu which was rich but satisfying. The meal was a bit pricey, but probably worth the convenience (and the chance to find good parking for the show). Overall I can't complain, but wish there were more entree choices.
Although we arrived over an hour before the show, we had to rush through the entree as it was served minutes before show time. The server was aware we were going to the show. We also had made reservations. Otherwise food was fine. Next time will go elsewhere for dinner.
We went for my husband's birthday. We both choice entrees that were exceptional. The steak was perfect and the polenta was just like Mom's. The salmon was fantastic and the smashed potatoes were the best ever. Our waiter was wonderful always there when we needed him.
Appetizer roast beef flatbread was better than the main courses, which were not good. One main course was shrimp scampi, which had 5-6 little shrimp. Not only not very good, but overpriced at $29. Was worth $10-$15 at the most. Other main dish was Ceasar salad, which had practically no cheese.
If I were to go again, I would get only appetizer and drinks. That is actually enough for a meal at this place.
My husband and I both enjoyed our meal before hearing Chris Smither. We always eat at the Bistro before a concert and have always enjoyed our meals. Our waitress was a little harried though. We never received the bread that was offered and I had to ask for my water glass to be refilled. All in all, a wonderful evening.
Not knowing what to expect since we had never been to that part of the state, we were very pleasantly surprised with Infinity Bistro. We were there to attend a musical event and this seemed to be the best choice. As it turned out dinner was most enjoyable our waiter was the most charming young man and we all enjoyed our meal immensely . If I am ever in the area again I would definitely return here to eat. Just for your information , the musical event started at seven- thirty, our reservations were for six - fifteen. That gave us plenty of time to enjoy dinner at leisure.
Staff was very friendly. We have ate there in the past and have enjoyed the food. Wondering if new chef was on this past weekend because none of us enjoyed our meals. My husband got Shrimp Scampi and it was terribly bland as was my Salmon. No flavor at all. My brother got the Steak and Cheese Flatbread and returned it as it tasted full of chemicals. Not sure we will ever eat there again. Too bad because it is so convenient right before a show.
We have eaten here almost every time before a show. We have noticed this place sliding downhill the last few visits. the menu choices are getting fewer & fewer. This last trip on October 19, 2017, we waited between 45 to 60 minutes for our food to arrive. When asking the server about the delay, the answer was a very sarcastic, "I have no idea, it is the kitchen." Then she explained that they asked the performer to go on 10 minutes late to make up for their lack of organization. so, our meal took along time, and they had others wait for the show too, inconveniencing the entire venue. Next show, we are eating before we go there. We can spend $60 at a lot of other places.
Very busy- for Saturday show
Sat down at 6:15 and made it to 8:00 show - service was a bit slow but that was to be expected on a Saturday night before a big show.
Waitress was attentive ! Show was pushed up to 8:10 - I think to get everyone out of the restaurant. Good call! Good burgers and great atmosphere. A lot of people but not noisy. Good time!
We had a pre-concert dinner here in April and it was very good. Something drastic has happened. The food was awful and it took us almost two hours to get a (misrepresented) flatbread and two entres. The Pho was inedible - some vegetables and soy sauce; the "shrimp scampi" was a lot of egg noodles with a few small shrimp, a couple of slices of asparagus and some sliced garlic. Really disappointing. Even our very nice server was embarrassed.
We had dinner before the Willie Nile show which was outstanding.
Our server was pleasant but very slow almost 10 minutes to get our drinks. She offered bread but finally a runner brought our meal and we had to ask him for bread which he gathered quickly. Overall the food was nice and the server ( young woman) was friendly and said thank you but could work on her speed.
We will return
Our first visit... We drove up for the Labor Day BBQ buffet thinking it was an outside venue.
We did eat on the patio but the road noise was pretty bad at times, making it hard to hear the music. We still had a good time, food was great and the service was too!
We will definitely be back. Looking forward to attending concert as well.
This restaurant is in a great location as it is attached to the Infinity Music Hall, and the atmosphere is oaky, but the food was just fair. My salmon was undercooked. It was completely translucent in the center, and worse, it took 53 minutes from the time we ordered to get to the table (to be fair, my starter salad that did come fairly quickly). We were not in a rush, but that was pretty ridiculous. The waiter came by twice to refresh drinks and said the food was on its way out (but it wasn't). I ate around the uncooked part of my fish, and gently mentioned it to the waiter when we had finished. I certainly was not going to send it back after waiting almost an hour for it. The waiter comped my husband's G&T as an apology.
We go to Infinity Bistro whenever our kids have their show SPEAK UP - which is great and everyone should go :) Always a pleasant dinner - good service - good food - and a great atmosphere. We don't come here for any other reason as it would just not be somewhere we would come - either to Hartford or Norfolk, CT - but we always look forward to dinner here before their shows. I recommend :)
Whenever we have tickets to a concert at the Music Hall, we have dinner at the Bistro, it's consistently good and this time even better than last time...always great are their hamburgers, the caesar salad nice and light, shrimp scampi very tasty and the filet mignon cooked to perfection. A really nice dining experience.
Our second concert-related dinner at the Bistro again surpassed our expectations for service and meal quality. We want to return soon for a more leisurely dinner, without the time press of an impending concert.
We were running late and called ahead and our reservation was readily held for us. We really appreciated the comfort of knowing that our table would be there as we struggled with Rt. 8 traffic.
If you're going to a concert at the Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk eating at the Bistro is a great way to start off the evening. It's as convenient as you can get, the food is very good (although the menu selections could be a bit more varied) and the service is outstanding.
