Industriel Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately, we did not have th experience we were looking for during our meal. First, the food is excellent. If you are able to overlook the service. We were a group of 6 friends that were there for a good time. Our appetizers were incorrect and one even came out after our dinner. I️ even had to ask twice for a glass of wine that I️ ordered while the rest of our table had their drinks. We were able to look over these blunders because we were enjoying our evening. The restaurant was hardly busy so, we didn’t feel the need to rush from our seats. However, when the manager came over and told us that we were being TOO loud, that’s when we all really lost it. I️ will not be back and I️ will not be referring my friends. The actions of one manager really ruined our night.
I used to go to Industriel fairly frequently when it first opened and then either I overdosed or the food wasn't as interesting and so I hadn't been there in a number of years until this week. I went to lunch there at the invitation of a friend and I was so blown away that I scheduled this lunch (with another friend) for the next day just to try other options. The food is super good and interesting again. I will be back soon!
This place is not what it once was. Food cooked with too many unharmonious flavors put together; "napa cabbage salad" with barely a cabbage in sight; too much grease in other things; generally disappointing. Service is fine but servers are not that knowledgeable and seem more interested in pushing dishes than listening to customers.
Service in downtown LA was exceptionally friendly - we kept changing the time and they were incredibly understanding. Food was utterly delicious - the baby lamb chops were out of this world, smoked chicken was divine. We enjoyed everything and their wine list is short and to the point
The wait staff was exceedingly friendly. The kitchen, unfortunately, was awful. Restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in, yet it took over an hour for our first dish to show up--nobody else got their food for another 10 minutes, and then everything came piecemeal after that. Further, the food wasn't even really all that good--certainly didn't justify the price. The wait staff comped the meal, which was really nice, but unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience.
We had a great meal at Industriel! Everything we ate was well made and very tasty. We ordered a fairly broad range (gambas, duck confit, lamb ragu, brussels, smoked potatoes, olives and dessert) and shared among our group of four. Service was friendly and attentive. The price point seemed like a great value to the quality of the food. The decor has a good vibe, too. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely delighted with Industriel. There were 6 of us and we ordered 50% of the menu plus a couple of the specials. Gambas was sooo delicious and spicy, but I wouldn't call the shrimp Jumbo. The Baked Brie: a total fan favorite. We had to order a 2nd one. Ask for extra bread. The other favorites in our group were the 1/2 Chicken ("Best chicken ever" said the guy who ordered it), the Gnocchi (pillowy and light, not thick and doughy), and the Lamb Ragu. Salmon is not my thing, but it was the best I ever had and everybody else agreed. The Duck Confit was a favorite of the person who ordered it, but I don't think anyone else tried it. The Smoked Potatoes were different and hearty, but nothing you can't miss. The Olives, Papaya salad, and Quinoa were all very nice accompaniments. Service was fantastic and very friendly. Definitely give it a go.
What a fantastic place! Delicious food, great service, and great location! So glad we came here instead of some of the more crowded spots. LOVED it!!!!
You won't get anything that's not in season or not fresh, and it's so obvious in the food. We enjoyed every bite!
Nice ambiance ad great service, but two of the dishes I ordered--ribs and green beans--were so incredibly salty that I couldn't eat them. I'm not unusually sensitive to salty foods, either; this was just WAY over the top. I sent the ribs back and got the mushroom cheese melt sandwich, which was decent, but nothing special. I'd skip this place, unless just for drinks and the cheese plate.
It was hard to notice from the outside, but when entering you immediately feel a warm inviting atmosphere. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We had four adults and one child, the kitchen was kind enough to make our child's food not too spicy, per her request. The happy hour wine and beer were good and lasts all night. Great place to eat before the concert at Pershing Square, only 1 block away.
My date was running late because he was held up in a kerfluffle, and so the maitre d kindly gifted me the hot Brie appetizer which was delicious. Very friendly place. And fun. My only discomfort is the noise level was really too loud to relax. But otherwise I enjoyed myself thoroughly.
We had a fantastic meal here. The food was delicious starting with a papaya salad that had so many surprising and wonderful ingredients. The rockfish was another great choice. We sat next to two women from Portland who had been to Industriel in a previous trip and were back and making reservations for Friday, too. Yes, it's that good! Marcus was delightful! His wine pairing suggestion (which I originally thought too bold for me) was spot on with the cuisine , of course. He graciously brought several tastes and had me come back to his suggestion after we were eating our meal. So glad he did! The wine and dinner were wonderful . We shared the banana bread pudding for dessert . Glad we didn't miss this and so glad we found Industriel. I would definitely recommend it.
Came in for a birthday. Don't go there for birthdays or anything special. They messed up the desserts by bringing out menus after we'd made special arrangements with them prior to seating. They took forever to bring out the drinks-- literally half hour apart. They were out of a menu item and the option to replace it was less than optimal.
I misunderstood when they said they don't do anything comped birthdays. I thought they said they comp a dessert so I ordered 2. They charged me for 2 and I reminded them that they said 1 was comp. They told me they said it WASN'T comped. I said I completely misunderstood and that it was fine I'd cover it. Then, they lectured me about how they would waive it this time but they didn't "want me to expect it in the future". No expectations. Zero. I won't be coming back. If they said it wasn't comped, then I come by my misunderstanding honestly. I said I'd cover it. However, a full on lecture at a table of 6 for a birthday was totally unnecessary.
We were given so little papaya salad we could see the bottom of the plate. Our chocolate cake lacked moisture so we only consumed the coffee ice cream next to it. The duck entree was delicious and we couldn't get enough.
The service was attentive and accommodating. Our host dimmed the lights because my friend has very sensitive eyes. They constantly refilled our waters and asked if we needed anything else.
I had lunch there during Dine LA week. The price was great. I had the salmon dish. The salmon was cooked to perfection. However, the eggplants and the vegetables that came with the salmon was way too salty. Thus, it ruin the whole dish. Very disappointed. Service was also very slow. But I excused them for that since it was Dine LA week. They were very busy.
