Indiya in Collingswood has been serving authentic Indian cuisine since 2012 under the direction of Chef Bhasin. Lamb and goat form the basis for many of the menu items, including goat curry beli-ram which is slow cooked bone-in goat in the Punjabi style. Lamb rogan josh is lamb morsels cooked in Kashmiri spices along with yoghurt and saffron. Of course Indiya also offers chicken and seafood dishes as well as a full selection of vegetarian delights. For dessert, Chef Bhasin recommends the masala “chai” ice-cream, which is Indiya's best seller.
Everything at Indiya is home made from scratch. Catering is available, and private parties of up to 50 people can be accommodated.

Indiya Ratings and Reviews
This is a great spot for lunch (all you can eat buffet that includes dessert), and a nice dinner. Would be great for dinner with friends, in a group, date night, really anything. It's a BYOB (of course in Collingswood). We went for Restaurant week, though we didn't all order from he menu, which was great. They had two separate RW menus, $25 and $35 menus. Teo of us ordered from the RW menus and two ordered from the regular menu. It was great that they accommodated that, often restaurants will not, and will say one or the other only. Three of us had lamb, that was delicious. The apps were fantastic. Fav was the crispy cauliflower. I'd go back just for that. So many gluten free and vegetarian choices!
Don't miss the cauliflower appetizer. We didn't go to Indiya with the intention of having a vegetarian meal but that's what we did. The baby eggplants in the coconut sauce were wonderful and the nine vegetable navrattan korma is delightful. The naan bread is some of the best I've ever had.
This was our second visit to Indiya, and we intend to come back again soon. We enjoyed sharing the crab cake appetizer. The tandoori shrimp were very good, but I couldn't call them great. My vegetable korma had an outstanding creamy sauce. It is a dish we have had often and this is the best version ever! The dal was, again, the best version of this dish I have ever had. I love the small serving of salad that comes with each meal. We ordered the mixed bread basket ($4) and loved every bite. We had several pieces leftover and took the remainder home to be enjoyed again another day. We had room for dessert and chose to share the galub jamun. While there were only two pieces per serving, it did come with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream.
If you love Indian food, you should try Indiya! Sister restaurant to the lovely Coriander in Voorhees, a bit smaller but the same fabulous food.
Went to dinner on an Amazon Local deal, definitely recommended if you want to save a couple bucks. Took a friend who never had the cuisine before and he loved it! Their buffet is always top notch and cannot be beat. Tables seem a bit small and close but we happened to get sat at the table by the window which provided a pleasant experience. Can't wait to go back for the Non-Veg Thali!
If you're a fan of the food from Coriander in Voorhees, then you'll automatically love Indiya as this is owned by the same people, with basically the same menu. If you're not familiar with them, then you're in for a treat. Right up there on my list of the best Indian food in the area.
The building is similar to others on the main restaurant row - narrow and kind of noisy, but that's to be expected. And don't forget to BYOB.
Try it, you won't be disappointed!
I got exactly what I was hoping for when dining at Indiya - a great introduction to flavors I had never experienced before. Everything I tried was great - Ragda patties with chick peas was outstanding. As a heat enthusiast I selected the hottest item on the menu and found it to be a comfortable eat...spicy but not hot, very enjoyable. The Indian rice pudding was excellent as well. The waiters were very kind, accommodating and willing to take the time to explain things to first time diners like me. The restaurant was a little warm for my liking, but the décor was charming and fit the experience well. I had a great time.
If you do not like chili, you must question the waiter very carefully. What is hot to you is mild to them. Ask specifically if they use any chili. The sauces are premade and many do contain that ingredient. I did not mind it as it was mild to me. My dining companion felt it was hot.
In my opinion, Indiya's restaurant week menu is a must. For the really reasonable price of $22.00 per person, you get a fabulous three course meal. I have eaten there twice this week and there hasn't been one dish that I did not enjoy. I highly recommend the fish curry, cauliflower appetizer, and the pistachio kulfi dessert. I'm already recommending this place to all of my friends!
My husband and I come here as much as we can, we love it here! Food is outstanding, service is excellent, such a good pick for that lunch you want to go to with a few friends or have a quiet dinner for two with your loved one. The food is so flavorful and plenty to share.
Indiya is good for both fans of Indian food and newcomers to the cuisine. Many, many choices. Vegan and vegetarian friendly. Small children made to feel welcome. EXCELLENT wait-staff. Many fine restaurants in Collingswood and this is one of the best for a casual lunch and/or dinner.
Indiya is a great authentic Indian restaurant. The food is great, servers are friendly, and décor is fun and upbeat. I would recommend Indiya to first timers as well as Indian cuisine lovers. I like to try something new every time I go to Indiya and I am never disappointed.
If you like Indian cuisine, or just want a change from comfort food, you'll love this place. We have dinned here several times, with no disappointments. The food has a great spice taste, without the lingering heat. Personally, I am not a big fan of the heat, but if that's your deal, they can oblige. The staff is attentive, and will explain the dish until understood, which was very helpful the first couple visits. it's a small place, so make a reservation to assure you won't wait or miss out.
We are regulars here and love the rich, exotic flavors of the foods, friendly and helpful staff, and relaxing decor. Indiya has a very consistent and reliable kitchen that we count on time and time again and doesn't disappoint. Entrees are in the 14-18 range and serving sizes are very reasonable. Most meals are served with a small salad and lentils in addition with wonderfully prepared rice and your entree choice.
Love the food. Make sure you try the broccoli, cauliflower and onion appetizers. All the entrees are accurately described in the menu and can be ordered at the level of "heat" that you will enjoy. Remember it's BYOB as well. Great price performer! Excellent service.
The service at Indiya was corteous and calm. The servers worked more as a team, than as individuals. Our water glasses never came close to being empty, as they were very diligent about refilling them. The waitstaff didnt interrupt our coversations by asking permission, they just filled the glasses, which is somthing i prefer. the food was delicious, and came out perfectly hot. the cauliflower appetizer was one of the best foods i have eaten, period. i would definitely reccomend and will visit again.
