I went there for the Indique special bottomless brunch with 20 of my friends and the service was superb. The items were brought to us in time and the food was delicious. I especially recommend the duo of chaats, achari tacos, chicken tikka masla, cookie butter dosa and the rum mango lassi. The Rum Lassi was special to Indique and the perfect bottomless brunch drink. Make bookings ahead of time as they are very busy during the weekends and go for the unlimited food platter and the bottomless drinks! A very good deal indeed!
Great food and extensive options in the vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian categories!
Went for end of Restaurant week. We were seated right by the door- a lot of drafts when people came in and out! Service was great, and food was good, but maybe a bit subpar for the price. Solid 4 I think.
Go for the street food. Entrees were OK, but portions were on the less generous side. Their brunch looks great and return for that.
Food here is really good - solid indian food with lots of flavour. Their brunch deals are very affordable compared to other unlimited buffets/ bottomless deals. Well worth it!
We went to Indique to celebrate my boyfriends 30th birthday. It was delicious! As a vegan with celiacs dining out can be hard and navigating a menu and explaining dietary restrictions to wait staff can be a nightmare. That was not the case here, the menu was so clearly marked and there were a fair number of items that were both GF and V so that we could share our entrees and have a lovely meal together.
Get the morel stew....you will not regret it.
The Puchka shot was awesome! Having pictures and spice level next to the entree description would really help the diners as this restaurant menu has a lot of innovative dishes which people are not familiar with. I observed, lot of people asking the waiters what is the dish served on the next table and then wanting to try it.
The vegetarian options are very basic and regular. Would love to see innovative vegetarian version of the dishes ( like Puchka Shot) served here.
After having a wonderful experience at Indique, I went back for more. Although the servers were courteous, and the food good, I was disappointed by the experience. We had a 6:30 reservation, and were seated promptly. Our server came by to answer questions about the menu and to take drink and appetizer orders. By the time the drinks arrived we were ready to place our order for the meal. And then the waiting began--first for the appetizers and then for the entrees and sides. People came to the tables around us, were served, and some had completed their meals before we finally received our entrees. We decided to be proactive, and approached our waiter and a restaurant host on three occasions to inquire about when we might expect our food. We waited well over an hour (probably closer to two) for our food; one of the appetizers never arrived! We were offered a complimentary dessert and the missing appetizer was removed from the bill. The company was good and the food, once it finally arrived, was tasty, but not enough to overcome frustration from the inordinate delay in service. We arrived at 6:30, and the restaurant was closing (10 p.m.) by the time we completed our meal.
We always love our experience at Indique!
Our waiter was terrific and knew the menu and cocktails very well. He recommended several items and the ones we tried were all delicious - cauliflower chiles and pork belly aps - had okra and veggie stew for dinner - all excellently prepared. The version of margarita on their cocktail list was also quite refreshing. Thanks for a good evening!
The vegetable/pastry Samosa Chaat was very tasty as an appetizer. (split with friend)
The salmon crusted with coconut had good sauce flavor, but the salmon itself was a bit tasteless...as if it were farm raised:(
The mango rice pudding was runny and disappointing. (suggest you offer a coconut icing yellow cake dessert for those celebrating birthdays, rather than the cheese cake.)
The staff was very pleasant, the ambient good, nice decor, and easy to hear my friend (*!*).
Felt the vegan main dishes were pricy... for the offerings.
This was my first time and a birthday celebration.
Came here with a family member for unlimited plates weekend brunch and just had to come back! The price is definitely worth it for the incredible food. Meet all my expectations for taste, variety, and presentation. Service was great. And it wasn't loss at all, making it perfect to catch up with some friends.
Took a very long time to order and receive our food. Several of the dishes did not deliver, though the shepherds pie, biryani, samosa chaat and the chicken tacos were good. The service staff started uncomfortably cleaning up while we were waiting to get our check and leave, to the point where they were effectively asking us to get out of the way. The temperature control wasn't ideal; it was pretty cold. And the restrooms were not at all kept up during service.
Excellent service. Multiple wait staff were eager and available to answer cuisine questions.
I have been to Indique many times and will certainly go back; but the latest visit the noise level seemed to be at an all time high!
Everything was great. The fish curry was delicious! Definitely recommend this place, I'll be back for sure!
The cod was exceptional -- best cod I've ever eaten. Eggplant was OK -- a bit disappointing. Vegetable dosa and Indian icecream also outstanding.
Love it here!
Excellent place for a simple meal or for a special occasion!
The food was delicious! The samosa chaat was tasty! Our server was very knowledgeable & prompt. We really enjoyed our meal. I'll definitely be returning.
Food a bit above average this evening. It has been much better at other times. Service was very attentive.
Interesting space, great service, and a slightly different take on your usual Indian restaurant fare. The classics are there too of course, but feel free to branch out and try something you wouldn't normally have the chance to get.
Great place. Weekend brunch was worth. Service was very good !
Food was not good. Especially what the owners say from my hometown doesn't taste 1% authentic as all you can taste is a cream sauce. In addition the service was poor. They got appetizers and entree together and no one stopped by to ask for water or check on the food. If that was not enough the waiters got into an argument in front of us
We really enjoyed our dinner at Indique. It was our first time at the restaurant - we went to see Zoo Lights and wanted to eat in the neighborhood. We had a reservation but had to wait 45 minutes to get seated - the place was jammed! However, we did not mind the wait, as it was nice and warm inside. The food was very good, different from typical Indian restaurants we usually frequent. We will definitely return.
Indique has consistently served great good at exceptional levels of service since I first went there in 2003. I strongly recommend it. They even catered our wedding, and delivered the same high quality food and top-notch service to our 200 odd guests. We keep going back and are amazed at how they creatively re-invent their menu.
I have dined here many times and this time was very unsatisfactory due to lack of service.
Our second Sunday brunch at Indique and once again we enjoyed the selection which includes many vegetarian options. The flavors of each dish were outstanding. Service was a bit erratic and our waiter had to be flagged down more than once.
Surprise! an Indian brunch. Great service, great selection of vegetable and potato dishes. Watch for the spicy ones if you aren't used to Indian cuisine. Small plate portions are the rule here. There is a $20 all-you-can-order option (which cannot be matched anywhere else I have been in the area). The Masala omelet is delicious.
The service was wonderful. Our server was helpful in describing and recommending menu items. The food was delicious and the decor a welcome change from the sparse and industrial look. Members of our party were pleased to be able to have a conversation and not be hoarse when we left the restaurant.
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing time! Thank you.
I read about Indique's weekend brunch in the Washington Post and a friend and I decided to check it out. We decided to go with the unlimited small plate and it could not have been better. There was typically Indian as well as some fusion ( tacos, appam waffles) food. I would definitely get the chaat duo, which was delicious and the chicken tikka makhani. The ishtew was very authentic, although the small appam was more like an utthapam than an appam. The sweet that we wanted ( parfait) was no longer available, but the restaurant graciously allowed us to substitute with a gulab jamun. A ver good experience all if all!
The weekend brunch is a phenomenal value for endless small plates at just $20 per person. The food was fabulous. The only thing was that the waiter was very hard to flag down, and it almost seemed like maybe waiters were instructed not to be too attentive to keep people from ordering too much! So though we placed orders for just 3 small plates to begin, when we finally got hold of him the second time, we ordered 6, then wrapped up with 3 at the end. Overall it was excellent.
We preferred the old version of Indique. The Shepherd's Pie was too spicy for our both diners who ordered it. Not crazy about coconut rice and I miss the little wooden tray of condiments that used to come to each table. And what was up with the weird music playing? Sorry, but sadly, after two visits to the new iteration, we'll move on to other Indian choices nearby--Masala Arts, Cade of India. Fond memories, though.
Great place with fantastic food. All the dishes on the buffet were great which is unusual.
this restaurant is the best. I took my friend for a bday brunch. The food and drink were amazing; and the staff was so efficient and nice. I will definitely come back.
Indique was a all around great experience! Having been here for dinner before, I was very excited to try their Dozas and Mimosas bottomless brunch. $35 for all you can eat and drink is a steal!! The food was fantastic and the service was very pleasant. We showed up a little early for our res, as we had additional people joining the party, and they happily worked to find a way to fit us all. Will definitely be coming back sometime in the future.
We had Sunday brunch which is unlimited for $20 per person (non-alcohol version). The menu has variety of Indian items but all have a unique twist. We ordered Samosa Chaat, Chicken Kebab Eggs Benedict, Achari Chicken Paratha Taco, Appam Waffle Sundae, Cauliflower Pecorino Kulcha, Shreekhand Parfait and Cooke Butter Dosa. Samosas was usual with no twist, benedict was slightly cold in temperature but good taste, Taco was excellent with two tacos with perfect amount of topping, Kulcha was excellent with a dipping chutney. Appam Waffle Sundae was OK, The waffle was very chewy and I noticed that they have pre-made waffles stacked under hot light to keep them warm which makes them more chewy. The Cookie butter dosa was also good. The best was Shreekhand Parfait with creamy shreekhand topped with crunchy granola and fresh fruits. Also the best thing I liked is their portion size. It is perfect to share between two and if you want more you can always order more. No wastage of food due to leftovers. There were other items equally tempting but could not try due to full stomach.
I love Indique. Very good food in a neat space in a great neighborhood for solid value. I would note that it does get VERY loud in there sometimes. We most recently went with a group of four, and I could barely hear our two dinner companions, who are somewhat soft-spoken to be fair.
Had not been there for a while and the menu had changed since our last visit. If anything the food has improved from good to even better.
