A friend and I went to Indigo Landing for a Restaurant Week dinner. What we DID NOT KNOW was that it was the LAST NIGHT it was to be OPEN before being CLOSED for renovations! Our waiter greeted us with that information as we sat down. We've been here many times before and have always enjoyed it. We'll watch their website because we'll be back to try whatever comes next. The LOCATION is BEAUTIFUL, as it across the water from Reagan National Airport and Washington, DC. It is also right next to a sailboat marina. So, lovely lights at night reflecting off the water and sailboats cruising by during the day. I'd say, watch for their reopening and go try the new place!
This was my first time dining at Indigo Landing but I will definitely be back! The food is delicious and they offer vast menu selections. Service was very friendly and attentive. My guests and I were thoroughly impressed.
The kitchen was out of steak and prime rib. The rockfish that I had was bland, and cool. The waitress was absolutely kind, but overwhelmed. The appetizers were the best part of the meal. The artichoke and crab dip was amazingly delicious. The view is breathtaking. Overall I would only come back for a summer drink on the deck.
The acoustics are terrible, although the view of the city is beautiful. It's a bit too dingy for my taste, but they are renovating soon.
It was our first visit as well as our 30th wedding anniversary. The hostess was very nice providing different seating options since there were a couple of large parties;however, the server was out to lunch. She messed up our drink order and completely forgot our appetizers. According to our server she had worked at the establishment for 23 years (or maybe 30 she stated both)and was just notified the restaurant was closing. We were lucky enough to pick the very night they were closing for 2 months to restructure! (And they had already informed the servers that they may not get called back) I guess this explains why she was so rattled and the restaurant was out of many selections. It was definitely a memorable anniversary dinner but not for the right reasons.
Outstanding view and location. Prompt, courteous and impeccable service. The crab cakes and ribs are great. Decor could use some improvement. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend it to friends and relatives.
Food was cold, crab cakes were too fishy and almost no seasoning on anything, food was way too bland. If the weather was nice it's a great location to sit outside and have drinks.
Traveled to Washington for Trump Inaugural and family in the area recommended Indigo Landing for its location and good food. The convenient parking was a plus too. Would return on future DC visits and will remember to recommend to friends.
Indigo Landing is located at the Washington Sailing Marina next to Reagan National Airport. The brunch is served buffet style and is abundant. There are more offerings than one can ever consume in a single sitting with usual breakfast staples, omelets, French toast, waffles, bacon, sausage, roast potatoes, etc. There are also a number of seafood options, salmon cakes, steamed spiced shrimp, mussels in broth, whitefish. The desert offerings are cheese cake, crumb cake, fresh fruit and whipped topping, etc. They give you a choice of champagne or mimosa.
We gathered a group of 6 to celebrate a special graduation on a Sturday morning at 11:
30. Very wonderful staff who were attentive but not distracting. The view was great and the restaurant was quiet enough to hear conversation across the round table/booth sitting. The background jazz music was a bit loud...
My wife and I just loved this find. The waitress was good. She kept coming back, maybe a little too often.
Seafood Cobb salad was excellent
Made a reservation on open table , but when I arrived, the restaurant had a sign saying they were closed. Did not bother to call or email me to let me know. What a waste of time. I will not be giving you a second chance.
The Sunday Brunch is great. But the interiors are worn and tired. Most of the vinyl seating was peeling. The carpet is past it's useful life and in general the interior is dirty and dated. This place needs some love.
My memory of this place is that is has a wonderful ambiance and good food, so I was not hesitant to take my husband there for his birthday. Unfortunately, I had to re-assess once we sat down. This is a great place to go in the summer in the evening or late afternoon. It is on the water and has a beautiful view of the Potomac. You can see the planes coming and going in and out of Reagan Airport. But for mid-day in January, it is a blah place. Almost empty, and while our server was pretty attentive, there was a hair in the sauce for our calamari appetizer; the flounder sandwich was too breaded; the chef's salad was overloaded with bacon; the crabcakes didn't have a lot of filler but were blah and the chicken was not flavorful. I think this place has outlived it's good reputation. I would not go back.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the view is breath-taking. Can't beat Indigo Landing for a special occasion!
The food was delicious, we loved the view of the river and the city, and service was very good.
Was here for our routine Christmas dinner. I've been here before, the dessert wasn't great but the ambience was just great.
Service and ambiance is fantastic as is the food! Drinks were always refilled promptly, plates cleared off table and server would continue to follow up at perfect intervals. Def one of our favorite places for brunch.
Great lunch to celebrate 3 friends birthdays. There were 6 of and we all ordered things and were plessed with all.
The food was much better than I expected. My 2 adult daughters and I decided late in the day to go out for dinner. It wasn't crowded so we could actually talk. We agreed when they visit in the summer we will definitely return for dining on the deck that overlooks the marina. Very nice
A last minute dinner meeting was requested by clients from Boston, so I made a reservation at Indigo Landing for Sunday, November 13, 2016. We were warmly received at the front desk. Our waiter, Miloud, was cordial and gave us great suggestions for the best choices on the menu. He recommended and I selected the crab cakes, which were delicious. I would return to this restaurant without hesitation.
We had a great table with a magnificent waterfront night time view of the Washington DC skyline!! The food was good also--nice for a birthday for people who hadn't been there before.
We went here for my husband's birthday. Excellent service and food. Nice view. Will definitely return.
The food was good. The service sooooo slow but the view made everything OK. If you are in a hurry don't go. But if you are with someone fun to talk to and you are not in a hurry and it is a nice day, it is perfect. The food is good, the drinks good. A bit expensive for what it is but again, the atmosphere is perfect.
I have eaten at this restaurant many times and in its various incarnations, such as when it was Potomack Landing. Love the view. This time we were seated in a room at the end with great views and no one around. Great for a business lunch except that the server forgot about us. I had to flag down another server. Food is good and prices are reasonable but perhaps the best features of this establishment are its ease of access form anywhere in Arlington, Alexandria and parking.
Excellent food and service. We had an early( 6:30PM) reservation and the place was very quiet with minimal patrons. It grew as we dined but never got loud. Midoul was our primary waiter (several contributed) and he was his usual outstanding self. We've had him several times in the past and he has always been superb, with great recommendations and a very pleasant demeanor. The restaurant is great for a lunch or an early (before 8:30PM) dinner and is in a great location on the water to see the airport, etc. The one shortfall I've found is that the bar closes very early (8:00PM). We were actually going to have a night cap (@ 8;15PM) and watch the beginning of the game at 8:30PM, but were very curtly informed by the bartender that "we are closed". Abit of a damper on an otherwise fine night.
Indigo provides a great view and good food! Miloud is the best - always great service!
My wife and I truly enjoyed our Saturday afternoon lunch datedSaturday
Reserved through Open Table the evening before our reservation. OT said "only 1 table left" so I took it, despite being a different time than what we wanted. Expected a packed house, but it was practically empty. Staff couldn't explain. What's up with that?
