Indigo Crow Ratings and Reviews
Very small restaurant so noise level is pretty high, in part due to waiters loudly chatting among themselves. Brie in pastry appetizer was excellent as was carrot cake dessert. Strip steak good but not great - lots of gristle and too much sauce. Good NZ sauvignon blanc.
We've been here several times and this was the most disappointing. The risotto was not as good as in the past and my friends dinner was too salty. My steak was overly charred on the outside. It was also very loud. Usually the food is very good with rare exceptions but this night was not good.
We chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday because it is a nice quiet place with great food. Tonight was a nightmare. A large group monopolized the entire dining room with yelling and obnoxious laughing. It felt like we were in a gymnasium or at a football game. Would have been nice if a manager would walk over and kindly ask them to be respectful of all other paying guests and keep noise down. Our birthday dinner turned out to be a time of yelling across the table and our server also had to yell at us for us to hear her.
Poor management control.
The food quality was excellent. We were seated in a spot that was so dark the menu could not be read. Had I not previewed it on line, we would have been in trouble when ordering. The waiter was of nominal assistance. Another waiter dropped part of a salad on the floor, no one cleaned it up, they just walked through it. Asked for a medium steak, hot pink center and received a lukewarm medium rare filet and potatoes. Bread tray was not refilled. Conversation was tough since it was too loud or "energetic." Watched meals sitting on the warming counter for five minutes or more. The waiter told the manager we were not pleased, but he seemingly could not be bothered to walk the 5 feet and talk to us. Had a $100 gift card, $77 bill and told the waiter to keep the balance since we would not rush to return, he did not earn that much of a tip, but not worth returning to redeem the balance.
Excellent service and wonderful food. A lot of older well to do’s here, but the atmosphere is relaxed, and while the you might think this is one of those places you should only visit when dressed in your Sunday best, you’ll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere occupied by people laughing and getting on quite well. Seafood was some of the best I’ve had in NM!
NYE 2018 dinner
Lobster bisque was too salty. Pork belly appetizers were outstanding, as well as shrimp appetizers. Main entrees of filet mignon and lobster tail were delicious. Dessert was pretty underwhelming, some kind of chocolate mousse cake, i think. Overall, pretty good, yet a bit over priced. Service was pretty good though.
Last year we came to Indigo Crow and it was so loud that it was virtually impossible to hear each other talk. This time, perhaps due to being between XMas and New Years, there were very few people in the restaurant and we were very able to hear each other.
The food selections (I had sea bass and my husband had seafood stew, along with the bread pudding for desert; the ahi tuna appetizer) were all quite tasty!
Another great dinner at Indigo Crow, the most consistently good restaurant in the Albuquerque metro area. From appetizers to salads to fish, duck, steak or lamb, everything was superb and cooked to perfection. Service, as always, was attentive, friendly and professional.
Been here about 3-4 times. The gorgonzola fondue appetizer never fails to please and the main dishes are marked by their perfect execution. Very few restaurants in the greater ABQ area match what Indigo Crow delivers. And at a price which makes it a great value compared to "fine dining" options in ABQ.
Our meals (lobster ravioli, rack of lamb, and the New York strip) were delicious and perfectly and presented. The added small lobster tail added to the ravioli was a special unexpected treat. The chocolate cheesecake for dessert was a delightful finish. We had grilled scallops and the fondue for appetizers — the scallops were delicious, but, although tasty, I probably wouldn’t order the fondue again. Great meal!
Our meals were outstanding. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. All of the staff were helpful and friendly, and our waiter, Marcus was excellent. My son from Colorado has purchased several gift certificates as presents to me, now he knows why the Indigo Crow is my favorite restaurant. He's eager to return.
Indigo Crow has a great brunch! He had the crab cake Benny and I had the Traditional (eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruit, sourdough). Everything was delicious and well presented. The pleasant scent of piñon burning in the fireplace made everything cozy and right. :)
With the addition of the new chef, Indigo Crow -- always very, very good -- is now exceptional! The new bar menu is the best I've seen in the Albuquerque Metro area.
Worth the drive from anywhere in the vicinity, the food and wine are fabulous. Late Spring through early Fall the patio is THE place to eat in Corrales. The rest of the year the cozy fire in the dining room fireplace makes it the right choice.
Oh, sorry. IC is my nearest neighborhood restaurant, so I shouldn't be spreading the word far and wide. Nevermind. Don't go there. At least not all at once!
