The meal was ok - nothing special. We did feel that the service was rushed with the waiter asking if he could clear our plates away almost immediately my Wife put her cutlery down - but then, somewhat strangely, everything became more ‘relaxed’ and we were told to take our time! Maybe our expectations were too high....
The service was very good but the food of my partner and I (same dish x 2) arrived cold and when they re-heated it it was still cold. Eventually, the chef re-made the dishes and they were nice but by this point our friends had already finished eating so it was a strange dinner of two halves. The menu is reasonably expensive so we expected it to be better. The staff did not attempt to offer compensation for the experience though they were otherwise professional and experienced.
Excellent food and service. Would have liked a little more crushed pea with my fish and chips. A lot of noise from the bar below. Nevertheless a very enjoyable, pre show meal.
Excellent service, lovely friendly server & really great food.
Excellent service, outstanding food, will definitely be booking again. My wife is gluten and dairy intolerant so finding this little gem has really impressed us both. At last she can order anything from the menu without all the fuss. We had an excellent meal and the staff were polite and very professional, thanks.
Fabulous in every way. I have been to Indigo several times for lunch and each time it has been absolutely perfect. I cannot fault it any way and would definitely recommend for lunch or afternoon tea. The location, atmosphere, staff and food are all wonderful. The restaurant is on a mezzanine and you are looking down onto the beautiful bar or outside to the busy streets. It's like a haven of tranquility in Covent Garden. It's a great location and the restaurant doesn't feel too crowded and there is a lovely atmosphere. The food is all gluten free and they serve the best gluten free sourdough I've ever tasted. All the food is beautifully cooked and presented and their set lunch menu is very good value. The staff really make the restaurant special for me. Everyone is relaxed, smiling and happy and nothing is too much trouble. The service is perfect. They make you feel welcome and every visit important and special. We will definitely return. Outstanding
Another great meal at Indigo, staff very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed it. 5 of us had a great evening.
The food was no where near good at all I'm afraid to say.
Unfortunately as that's the main purpose for the visit, nothing else could possibly make up for that.
Great place , ambience and service very good .
Food delish but would like more choice on theatre menu .
Charity donation should have been drawn to our attention .
Drinks very expensive.
Would go again .
The food was probably the poorest we have had at any restaurant in a five star hotel.
The bread was terrible, poor flavour and texture even for gluten free.
The fish as chip dish was ok as was the pork belly but would have expected better.
We were placed by a table that gradually became nosier during evening. Would have expected in a bigger restaurant but due to size and location not appropriate and we cut the meal short due to this. Wine was fine.
Would not recommend and definitely not in top 10 places to eat near or in Covent Garden as was written by a journalist. Been to many better places.
Excellent food, it is so great to be able to eat somewhere that provides completely dairy and gluten free food and you wouldn't even know it! It's the first time we've been since the refurbishment (it certainly looked good) but it seemed to echo more and it was therefore much noisier than previously, which was a shame.
The food is consistently good and I have never been disappointed with a meal here. I do not eat gluten and dairy foods and so is perfect for me. I can choose anything from the menu to eat and be confident that I will be ok. The service is excellent, the waiting staff very courteous and friendly. I always eat at Indigo when in London for a relaxing dining experience!
We were quite looking forward to this meal, and a huge plus for us was that the whole menu is gluten free. However, although the food was well presented, we thought it was pretty bland and for this price I'd expect a lot more flavour. The background music was dreadful (personal taste, I know), and the waiter wouldn't leave us alone, repeatedly interupting our conversation. Glad we tried it from gluten free perspective, so now we know not to come back! Chairs were nice and comfy though.
So friendly and the best gluten free food! Definitely going back
Excellent food and setting. I would definately recommemd the restaurant.
As someone with coeliac disease, this restaurant was the best I’ve ever attended. Exceptional food, staff and service. We’ll be back. Thank you 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
A very pleasurable experience for my wife, myself and our two friends prior to our theatre visit.
My wife has gluten and dairy intolerences and it gave me additional pleasure for her to be able to select anything she wished from the menu, instead of having to compromise on the limited selections of other restaurants, so overall we all had great meal and would book a table when another trip is planned.
It is always a treat to eat here, the ambience is lovely. A refurbishment of the restaurant space has been very successful and it is more chic and sleek now, but the same quality and for anyone with gluten or dairy issues, the menu is a total joy as you can safely order anything and even the bread and "butter" are safe to eat. Wonderful.
Booked the pre theatre meal prior to seeing a show. Excellent value 3 courses for £29 including a cocktail. Service was excellent and the food 1st class. Will definitely book her again when in London.
Great choice for gluten free and dairy free meals near the West End. Excellent service!
Me and my boyfriend celebrated our anniversary, the food and team so friendly and nice, really have a nice time
Although where we were seated, overlooking the bar, was rather loud, the food and customer service was excellent.
Great find for a gluten and dairy free restaurant. The food is really good and tasty. My friend could choose anything on the menu and was not limited as with other restaurants. Great live music and a set menu at a lovely price. Service was impeccable.
Love this place for quality food, gluten free without a fuss. Not cheap, but service was excellent and location superb for West End shows.
You don't getter better than this - the staff, the food, the location - ideal
Very beige menu and unsatisfying. After 6/ 7 visits which were all enjoyable its sad to say this was my least favourite. I left feeling robbed after a £65 bill was presented for 3 people, 3 desserts, a main and a starter all on tap water. Seems a bit steep!!
Nice to find a restaurant where you can hear your dining companions without having to shout over loud music!
Delicious food, most pleasant ambiance and impeccable service
Wow a fantastic experience my husband is a coeliac and I'm intolerant to lots of different foods they really listened and were able to show me what exactly I could eat . My husband went for the beetroot salad to start I went for the chicken salad then we both had the pork we didn't have room for dessert but my husband liked the petit fours with my jasmine tea. The wine was great the service was amazing and overall would definitely recommend and will go back
All staffs are very kind! We had very comfortable time.l’d like to visit again.
The food was amazing and it was such a freedom to think I could choose anything off the menu and not think about whether the dishes contained gluten or not.
Service was efficient and friendly. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant - whether you need to avoid gluten or not
Very nice restaurant in the theater district with gluten free menu that works for those of us who don’t have gluten intolerance/allergies. Service is top notch
A really good meal in a lovely setting. I had the venison for main and thought the portion size could have been a bit larger.
Eaten here a couple of times and never fails to impress! Great location, beautiful decor and excellent food
Thoroughly enjoyed. Booked as birthday present for friend who needs to eat gluten free food. Exceeded both our expectations. Food was simply delicious and restaurant has a great ambience.
Excellent food and service . Top chef for making all food gluten and wheat free.
On a fun packed trip to London, we had a marvellous pre-theatre meal at Indigo. The choice on both the Pre-theatre menu and the A La Carte menu was excellent. The Quality of the food was excellent, the flavours divine. it was definitely value for money. With excellent service, good food and good wine, what more could you ask for? I will definitely be back.
The food was generally good although personally I am not keen on either the gluten-free bread or the seaweed butter. This is a nice relaxed place with very attentive staff and is perfect for an early pre-theatre dinner.
Service was great, food was tasty but arrived only lukewarm at best.
Really great place, gluten free a winner and staff are so helpful and polite absolute excellent
