My son and I visited early evening, and wss greeted, and seated by the owner. I had rack of lamb, and my son selected filet of beef. Both entrees were prepared as requested, and delicous. Our entrees were served with asparagus spears, and the rich and tasty, mashed potato's. It was a delightful dining experience. You will not be disappointed, with your visit to Vera Mae's. From the minds of Adolfo Garcia (Son of a Butcher, Pearl Tavern) and long-time restaurateur, Phil Stefani, comes Broken English taco pub.
On the name, Garcia says, “I speak English with my friends, and I often find myself mixing in Spanish words because there are some phrases that simply don’t translate to English. This happens in many other languages and cultures, but that is what makes the name ‘Broken English’ fun – it is part of our daily slang.”More

The Rib Room's signature ribs have been a Fort Wayne tradition since 1957 when Von Filippou and Nick Stamanis bought out the old DEL-MAR Bar for $20,000 and started NICK'S RIB BAR. Von was not yet a citizen so they used only Nick's name. In 1958, Von became a United States citizen and both names became associated- Nick & Von's Rib Room. Because of an out pouring of community support for the brothers to re-open the Rib Room with the same great food, it was decided to keep a similar menu. A full remodel of the space gave it new life and rustic charm. In March of 2016, the doors were re-opened to the public. The same great ribs, BBQ sauce, and dressings are staples on the menu with added BBQ selections, gourmet burgers, specialty local craft beers, and an enticing bourbon menu to round it all out.More
Charley Creek Inn offers more than stylish accommodations. Step into Twenty and you’ll see what we’re talking about. The namesake 1920s décor, including period photographs and paintings, sets the mood for a casual yet upscale meal. Our menu focuses on locally sourced ingredients from farms, ranches, and gardens in this agriculturally rich corner of central Indiana.More
You don’t have to be an Indiana Hoosier to enjoy everything Indiana has to offer, from the shopping venues, theaters, shops and restaurants to the state parks and wine trails. Indiana is the perfect getaway, and few things make a getaway more perfect than good food. This area has many signature foods, many of which are offered at local eating establishments. Don’t be surprised to see things like Hoosier sugar cream pie, Hoosier chili or persimmon pudding on the menus in most restaurants. Another thing symbolic to Indiana is unique food combinations like peanut butter and hamburgers, chicken and waffles and almost everything deep-fried. Several restaurants have been featured on the TV show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."
