We have been stopping at Artisan for dinner for three years. We schedule our travels between East Coast and Midwest to include a stop in Elkhart. Have enjoyed each meal. This was our first visit since January, and anticipat two more this year. I had osso buco and beet salad; Mrs had lobster risotto and Artisan salad. Excellent x 4. We understand they have a new chef ... we found the quality and experience to not have diminished. Looking forward to our stop next autumn to see if he raises the bar even higher. In earlier visits, we were the only diners, or maybe one or two other tables. Not any more! Although others have discovered this gem, the attention to prompt and personal service for every table is still there. MoreOpenTable Diner -
C3 is our favorite Bloomington restaurant! Their chilled soup is always fantastic, regardless of the particular flavor. And, their Caesar salad with the Brussels Sprouts is to die for! Tried the potato tacos tonight and they were wonderful too as was the chicken special. Everything was just great! MoreOpenTable Diner -

Mildred (Mimi) Bluestein Kosene. “Mimi Blue”. Born and raised in Indianapolis. Back when downtown was the only town. When people got dressed up for the theater and restaurant dining was a luxury.
Mimi Blue Meatballs is a tribute to our mother “Mimi Blue” Kosene. Mimi was a Lady, endowed with manners, taste, and an easy social grace. She loved good food whether dining out or cooking for a hard-working husband and three sons. Every home-cooked meal had to satisfy the whole family, as well as any friends who often stopped by. Cooking was the way she brought us together, kept us healthy, and showed us Love.
At Mimi Blue, we make the kind of food Mimi cooked for us at home, but we serve it in the type of comfortable urban setting that Mimi so much enjoyed. Like Mimi herself, our meatball dishes are classics. Each recipe is rooted in culinary tradition, but refined for the modern palette.
Have your Meatballs any way you choose. Mix meats, sauces and sidesMore

You don’t have to be an Indiana Hoosier to enjoy everything Indiana has to offer, from the shopping venues, theaters, shops and restaurants to the state parks and wine trails. Indiana is the perfect getaway, and few things make a getaway more perfect than good food. This area has many signature foods, many of which are offered at local eating establishments. Don’t be surprised to see things like Hoosier sugar cream pie, Hoosier chili or persimmon pudding on the menus in most restaurants. Another thing symbolic to Indiana is unique food combinations like peanut butter and hamburgers, chicken and waffles and almost everything deep-fried. Several restaurants have been featured on the TV show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."
