Indian Accent's menu reinterprets nostalgic Indian dishes with an openness towards global techniques and influences. Chef Manish Mehrotra highlights distinctly Indian flavors on a contemporary menu.
To respect the dining experiences of all our guests we practice a restricted entrance policy, only allowing children aged 10 years and above
I bought my girlfriend here for a post-Valentine’s day dinner. Indian Accent exceeded our expectations. The food was phenomenal; the flavors were incredible as well as the presentation. The staff was incredibly knowledge and courteous. Shoutout to our server, Andrew, for all the recommendations and excellent service. We intend on dining here again in the near future.
Excellent Indian food but bit pricey . The food is served in authentic dishes
Splendid traditional creations in a new avatar
I love dining here. The food and service are always excellent.
Something was missing in each dish
Sweet potato dish was dry
Chicken was on dry side
Lamb was good
Great food and presentation, the place is a bit cramped and noisy
One of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is amazing and not conventional, the atmosphere is so nice and great service.
Superb Indian. Very eclectic menu perfectly executed
Fantastic restaurant! Easily my favorite restaurant in NYC and one of the favorite restaurants all over the world! The food is always excellent, even exceptional, and the service delightful.
The experience was lovely. We had great suggestions from our server. There were a couple dishes that we thought was under seasoned from our 7 course meal. The rest was outstanding.
I’m very picky with my old fashioned and it was quite tasty. I liked it because it wasn’t so sweet.
Service was very tentative and helpful.
Delicious meal. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend.
Small portions but delicious.
Far from authentic Indian with nice Indian touch
Great service including a good sommelier. The taste of the food is amazing. Not the on in a dozen Indian place but a real treat. Will absolutely be back!
The staff at this restaurant is so nice, and the food is wonderfully interesting and delicious. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend experiencing this culinary thrill. Indian Accent treats its patrons to Indian cuisine served as a work of art....
Superb, savory, delicious ... and a non-ordinary variations on classical Indian cuisine. Outstanding, from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. Portions appropriate for a good meal ... not overwhelmed by tons of rice, etc. Sauces/curries were exquisite.
The most delicious Indian food I’ve ever had. This was my second time here and it was just as scrumptious the second time around. My husband and I each had the 4 course meal. Mine was vegan and his was vegetarian. Our servers were kind and courteous and explained every dish. Love love love it here!
Outstanding food ... among the best Indian food in NYC. Imaginative, flavorful and well-presented. Service unfortunately is a bit slow and ineffectual ... only reason I’m not awarding a full 5 stars.
Some of the most interesting/delicious food we have eaten in a long time. It’s an Indian restaurant serving anything but traditional Indian food. The preparations and spices were exceptional. A truly unique/marvelous dining experience.
One of the best Indian meals I have eaten ever.
Wonderful special dinner
A very delicious treat
Highly recommend it for a unique food experience
Stunning restaurant with a great "vibe". Great service. Excellent food. Highly, highly recommend.
I tried the pu-erh tea and it was exquisite. The rest of the meal was equally amazing.
Food is so good and very inventive. Flavors are fantastic. The service is very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is very nice with a moderate noise level.
Awesome food and service!!
The food was fantastic. Every dish was delicious. The service was incredible. It has a well-informed and helpful staff. Great wine selection. It is a very special place and very unique on the culinary scene. A must visit!
What a find, just a short walk from MOMA. The food was fantastic -- subtle and layered spices and textures. We loved everything -- particularly the coconut/pumpkin amuse bouche and the tandoori trout. The $38 lunch PrixFixe is a bargain for a restaurant of that caliber. The space is lovely and the service was both professional and friendly. Great experience!
My favorite restaurant in NYC!
Amazing . Wonderful service. Recommend!
The service was flawless and the food was divine. We will absolutely be back.
Excellent! Always a pleasure to dine here. The food is excellent and the service and attention to detail is even better.
beautiful service and presentation. The dumplings were a little disappointing however
I can’t find anything like this food anywhere else in the city. Love this place.
Exceptional cuisine and Service. A fabulous wine list.
The brunch feast never disappoints. The most unique, quality brunch in NYC!
We had a terrible experience at Indian accent. We had a 12 PM brunch reservation for 4 people. We were presented the menu and we chose the "Brunch Feast". Now, 2 of us were vegetarians, while the other 2 were not. The feast menu required us to make choices and many of the choices were between vegetarian / meat dishes. When we requested (given our dietary restrictions) to accommodate us by giving us dishes based on our dietary preferences, the servers flatly refused to accommodate. Nevertheless, we decided to go ahead with vegetarian choices (because it would have severely restricted the variety) for half the group. There was also an omelete curry (which on menu said had shrimp), but the server who took the order from us informed that they would give us a non-shrimp version. Since, we were not being accommodated with the meat dishes for the feast, we decided to order something else on the side. Now, apart from the above mentioned refusal to accommodate us, several things happened which made our experience terrible.
a) The side dish of chicken that we ordered never came
b) The omelette curry never came. When we inquired about it later with another server, he said they don't do any non-shrimp version of the curry as part of the feast. When we told him that the server who took the order from us had told us otherwise, he simply denied. Moreover, even after that the omelette curry never came (it was part of the feast menu).
c) The brunch feast is supposed to enable us to order unlimited courses of any dish. We wanted to try the desserts first before the meal. When we asked them to bring us the desserts first, they refused
All these things, combined with the way the server staff spoke to us made our experience terrible for 4 star restaurant. I must admit the food was good (as a vegetarian), however my friends who ate meat felt a bit disappointed given they could not try out any meat dishes
Indian food is much better than what I experienced .
