Indian Accent is by far the best Indian restaurant we have been to. We did the lunch tasting menu and every dish was better than the last. The depth of flavor for every dish was beyond anything we have ever had before! The service was impeccable- knowledgeable and so friendly. The ONLY negative was the $24 we paid for our sodas. My husband and I each had 2 small glasses of Diet Coke. We understand NY prices, but when you can have a fabulous meal with the opportunity to have more of whatever entree we wanted at no extra cost for $55/person, $24 for sodas seems ironic. We will be back many, many times...and we'll have water.
Some of the most exceptional Indian food in the world.
Too noisy. Person on next table was literally shouting in our ear. Not expected from a fine finding restaurant where you spend 200 dollars per head.
They ran out of scallops and didn’t give us a choices. They simply gave us a large portion of Cornish hen in a Kerala masala which was good but we would have preferred to make another selection.
This was my 4th visit and 1st time enjoying the wine pairing menu. All courses and pairings were fantastic!
Always great service- great food.
See everyone soon!!!
Excellent food and great service. Heard good things and it lived up!
Not just best Indian food I’ve had compared with fine Indian restaurants in London, but service is impeccable.
Took my husband here for his birthday it was amazing! From the moment you walk in. Worth every penny.
Exceptional in every way. Must try.
Amazing, innovative food. Rediscovered fine Indian cuisine.
Most over priced restaurant I have been to in a long time. Waiter expected you to have a degree in Indian cuisine and if you want to avoid dairy you are stuck with a 30.00 falafel. Hipster place that is a rip off.
We had the 10 course dinner. Each and every dish was piece of art. The taste, presentation and quality of food get 10 stars. For scotch fans, Smoke and spice is a must try!
In one word: spectacular. Imaginative menu, food, presentation, service, setting. Prices are reasonable for this area, around the corner from Carnegie Hall. Best Indian meal ever, and one of the best meals of any kind.
Hands down the best Indian restaurant that I have been to in NY. The food is delicious, the staff is incredibly professional and no detail is missed. I would recommend it to anyone with reservation. It is truly a different caliber than the many other Indian restaurants that I have eaten out in NY.
Best food/service/ambiance you could ask for!! This was our first time at Indian Accent but certainly won't be the last! Thanks for taking great care of us Andrew!!
The best Indian food I’ve ever had. One of the all time best restaurants in NYC!
LA COMIDA ES DELICIOSA, CADA SUGERENCIA QUE NOS DIERON CON MEZCLA DE PLATILLOS ERA UNA FIESTA EN MI BOCA.
TAN RICA LA COMIDA COMO EL INDIAN ACCENT EN NEW DELHI
Great food and great place if only it was inviting. Every time I go the reception is never kind or welcoming. It’s as uninviting a hostess as any place in the city. Yes the food is amazing but we you start feeling you are not wanted, you really have to re-evaluate why you will ever come back.
Excellent And Creative Food
Unbelievable service. Food was fantastic. Wine pairings spot on. Highly recommend
The greeter was extraordinarily rude and unfriendly as if she were doing us an enormous favor by even acknowledging us. We waited over 20 minutes for our table without even an apology or an invitation to sit somewhere or a realistic estimate of the waiting time until we asked.
Wonderful! Endless plates of delicious, inventive, unbelievably good deshi cuisine. Loved the tiny phuchkas, lamb chops, kulchas (my chicken and my friend’s duck), the cod, and lamb chop. The scallops were ok. The desserts were incredible - carrot halwa ice cream in a cone, a roshogollah wrapped in a “mousse” (?) and an airy mound of deliciousness with saffron, 24 karat gold and a lit candle for my birthday. And the cocktails were delicious as well!
Service was very good - although it was odd that it seemed each plate was served by a new server. I would’ve preferred just 1-2 servers! But I did appreciate the staff member who came running out into the cold street with my bag of leftover kulcha!
This restaurant is accessible. I use an electric mobility scooter and was impressed by how discreet and helpful the staff were... Top marks!
Our reception was terrible:first ,we fane 17 min late and they said they gave our table to somebody else,so we waited for 2 hours and came back on time, however, they asked asked us to wait for 15 min as our table was not ready.they don’t have dishes with curry..so their indian accent is quite small
Food was good and exceptional. Prices were a bit too steep. Considering that it isn’t a Michelin star restaurant
Truly original gourmet Indian cuisine, with creative reinterpretation and presentation of traditional Indian cuisines. Simply outstanding and the "tastiest" Indian food you will find, not only in NYC, but top tier globally.
Best Indian food in NYC
best Indian food in nyc. great ambiance great food that is creative.
Wonderful birthday dinner at NY branch of restaurant that was just named #18 restaurant in the world. Enjoyed every minute. Halle Berry, at the next table, seemed to as well.
Excellent food with modern choices and brilliant presentation
Three friends met up at Indian Accent and we impressed by the food and service. We ordered the brunch tasting menu and it offered us delicacies we may not have tried on our own. We were impressed with every dish artistically arranged and a treat for the tastebuds. Sevice is top notch too! A wonderful find, we will be going back again.
Superior food and service. Relaxing evening and never rushed.
Food and service were excellent, as always. My server Andrew was very helpful in recommending a wine as well as specific dishes.
Excellent for someone not overly familiar with Indian Food.
Could make Indian cuisine go more mainstream.
Unique presentation on all four courses. Amazing flavors and textures with just the right amount of heat and sweetness. I was in NYC for 8 days. This was by far the best recommendation by our concierge. It should have a Michelin star for sure.
I had a lovely dining experience, with a warm greeting and fantastic service! I especially enjoyed the lamb chops!
Good. Enjoyed the Service, Food, Drinks and Ambiance.
I booked a table for my mom’s 60th birthday celebration. I loved the whole experience and I was worried what my mom would think, but she had a great experience as well! Our server Moynul was very attentive and it’s like he knew what our taste was (he recommended the sea bass and I wish I had chose that instead of the scallops; don’t get me wrong, the scallops were good but everything else he recommended was so good that I now regret not being able to try the sea bass!). We loved the pepper chicken, lamb chops (OMG, I texted my husband right away that someone finally out-did his lamb chops!), my mom loved the baigan bharta (we loved the presentation), Assamese dumpling was okay (but again Moynul recommended that it might not be my taste), so glad Moynul gave us a sample of it instead! Crab claws were good. Cocktails were perfect. This place was not pretentious at all, menu was flexible and food was perfect level of spicy! I also texted my family who was in London at the time to try Indian Accent London! Can’t wait to come back to NYC and eat here again (or try all their locations).
Easy to book, great service. Very high quality ingredients were evident in every bite. The service was impeccable. Just a note for those who like more mild dishes- this may not be for you. As the waiter said: Our items are “spice-forward”. On the expensive side for non-wealthy customers but worth it.
No matter how often I go to Indian Accent (and it is often) it remains one of my all time favorite restaurants. The food is exquisite, with beautifully balanced spices, the cocktails are amazing and so is the wine list. But above all - the service is out of this world. Attention to detail, superb friendliness, great explanation on food. Keep it up Indian Accent!
