About India Restaurant
In 2016 we did a complete renovation of our restaurant. We closed
our restaurant for the month of January and built a new state of the
art kitchen, that has helped us improve the food quality and created
a better work environment for our hardworking and valuable employees.
Then over the rest of the year we renovated the bar, dramatically
changing it with the addition of three arched windows in the brick
wall, overlooking the park and welcoming an abundance of natural
light. We layed a new tile floor and replaced all of the dining room
and bar furniture, as well as improved our buffet layout. Perhaps
the most stunning improvement was in the form of new light fixtures
sourced and imported just for our restaurant, adding a warm and
romantic feel to the entire dining room and bar. We have been told
that #MagicIsInTheAir at India.

India Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I love this place. We discovered it last year and have been back a half dozen times. Our server this occasion was nice - friendly, accurate- but in the past we had wait staff on more than one occasion who were fantastic- funny! Personable! Helpful! Quick! The ambiance is great and the drinks were top notch. Food excellent. You won’t regret it.
Very nice ambiance for a special occasion. Food top notch. Service prompt and courteous. Plenty of conversation stimuli between the Bollywood films on the big screen, TVs behind the bar, and the fascinating Indian-themed art work. Prices reasonable. Also, they make an excellent (real) martini.
I love Indian food. The menu had everything I'd expect to find and dishes that were new to me. I ordered Tamarind Duck. It was spicy and sweet and tasty. Instead of basic rice I opted for a rice dish that was a mix of lentils and wild rice and cranberries - delicious and healthy and a kale salad came with it too. I was too full to order dessert and really wanted to because they have kulfi on the menu and I haven't had it in a long time. Next time I'm in Providence.
The food was absolutely incredible, as always! The only issue was that our waitress was incessant with pushing us to order more food and more cocktails. It went beyond making sure we were all set, and got annoying to constantly say no thank you. Having said that, the food is 10/10 and I cannot wait to go back!
Took my husband to India for Father's Day because he loves Indian food and I wanted to try a new place. I am not an Indian food aficionado and I really liked the food. The service was great, atmosphere great. My husband thought the food was very good, not the best he's ever had, but very good. We would definitely go back!
Seven of us met there for a business dinner (we work for a food company) and we started at the bar and the Happy Hours menu. Brad was an amazing bartender (he makes a mean cocktail with a great sense of humor) and offered recommendations from the menu, which were all outstanding. When our table was ready, Brad allowed us to transfer our check without closing it and still gave us the discounted prices which were suppose to be "bar only". Jay was our waiter in the dining room. He was prompt and polite in explaining the menu to us and pointed out that entrees were 30% off (it was a Tuesday). We shared several plates which were all amazing! There was something for everyone, from spicy vindaloo to a sweeter masala as well as an assortment of naan. We finished our meal with some authentic Indian desserts. The sweet carrot dish (I can't remember the real name) was my favorite. Even after all of our drinking and feasting our bill came and was way lower than we anticipated. We thought there was an error but it was all there. I will definitely be back and plan to take advantage of the henna hands next time!
