America is a melting pot like India was over a 1000 years ago. Being in the US offers a chef a lot of exciting possibilities to play with the ingredients that are not commonly found in India. We are availing these opportunities to create an exciting menu that has a blend of traditional favorites like Chicken Tikka Masala and creative dishes like Bengal Fish Curry (made with Salmon that is not usually found in India). The goal is to present a creative, fresh, nutritious, tasty, flavorful and a balanced meal. Like the 21st century India, we are progressive with our cuisine and not bound by the ‘same-old’ mentality.

We asked in our reservation to be seated away from people due to Covid and we are aware there are two front rooms and a back room where our party of six (our bubble) could be accommodated. Instead, there were two parties of four in the front and we were placed in the main dining room in a back corner that should not be seating six but was crammed together to make it so.
There was a wall behind us, a plexiglass divider in front of us and no one seated on the other corner- however on the other side of the booth was another party of four with no plexiglass dividing that side from us. So we became a party of 10 mixed people. Definitely not ideal in these times.
Also due to the strange way we were seated, our (very forgetful) server ended up passing our dishes to us from behind the group and we had to pass plates over. Our server also insisted a couple times that we hadn’t ordered things we remembered ordering and had to be asked four times for water and rarely picked up the dirty dishes (probably because we had been seated in a fashion she couldn’t serve correctly). We would have tipped slightly less for service but it was factored into the bill so didn’t have the choice but to reward lackluster service.
The food was great, we knew it would be also god some delicious cocktails. But the lack of foresight in planning for our party made it an uncomfortable and undesirable for a serving situation. Why do we create reservations if not to avoid situations like these?
I would NOT recommend this restaurant as competent during Covid dining but the food was great so do takeout.

Great experience out for a birthday celebration. Of course with covid its not the same but was still a good time. The first round of drinks tasted off but the second round was much better. This restaurant is always delicious!

I usually love India, but Christmas they were a little off their game. No special menu, servers seemed scattered and forgetful although extremely pleasant. Food was good, but they didn’t time anything appropriately. Apps came with dinner. It doesn’t change how much I love it there though.
This is our favorite restaurant for a bunch of reasons. First off, the staff are super friendly and helpful. Secondly, the food is amazing! The absolute best food and it’s consistent every time we go. Love the ambiance and the attentive staff. Also, the drinks! We have gone for the past two Christmases and I think it will be a tradition for years to come.

Very good food, excellent service, but the heating fan (I assume) is periodically too loud. Overall it’s an amazing place will definitely go back.
Enjoyed India! Especially enjoyed the music and the Bollywood movie playing on the TV. The shrimp appetizer was delicious. My husband enjoyed the Tamarind Duck and I had the chef's special with goat which was very tender. We will definitely go back.

greet diwali celebration!sat outside on 40F night. restaurant has good heaters. service great. have been dining here for over 15 years and food has always been consistently delicious. tonight was a little uneven. potatoes in vindaloo were undercooked and lamb was slightly over cooked. i’m hoping and sure it was just an off night.

Food was okay, but not the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten
India has become our favorite restaurant in the entire state. As someone who is gluten-free, and my husband is a vegetarian, it is one of the few places that we can go eat at together and leave satisfied. I always tend to have subpar experiences eating out as I am gluten-free, but I love and enjoy every meal I’ve ever had with India. There ambiance is amazing, and they have fantastic service. It is also conveniently located right next to the park, where we can take a nice walk after our meal to digest.
Lively, vibrant scene with lot's of energy upon walking up. There was a line but we had a reservation and were seated promptly. I haven't had Indian food in a while so was really looking forward to an authentic meal. While the ambience was full of energy, our server prompt and pleasant, and drinks were great, the meal itself was mediocre in terms of flavor. The Tandoori chicken was very dry and inedible, really. The rest of the meal was ok - it just lacked the flavor depth I was hoping for. If I want to go out for drinks with scenery and some snacks, I would go back. If I want really great and authentic Indian food, I would go elsewhere.

Absolutely the best experience you could ask for. Service and food is extraordinary and I can’t argue that enough. The Karahi gosht on the menu is what I find myself often thinking about, it haunts my dreams.
Great dinner ! Wonderful friends. The bill was confusing because there were 3 couples and we wanted and asked for 3 separate bills.That did not work out the way we wanted but we know next time what to do.

Delicious naan, great cocktails and generous entree portions! This restaurant is an old favorite and I am glad to see that the quality & value is as good as ever. We sat outside & it was a lovely, socially distant evening!
