Always delicious. Hadn't been to the River North location before, but standards were the same (or better) than the excellence I've experienced at the Schaumburg location. My friends and I ordered Aloo Gobi, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goby Fish Curry, and the Palak Paneer - all of which come with rice, and then we ordered Naan. A. Mazing!
We came in to celebrate my brother’s birthday. They put us in a back room that was nice and quiet. We were lucky to be the only ones there. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered butter chicken, and it was one of the best I’ve had. We ordered chicken samosas, and the pastry alone was worth the price of the whole dish. I’ve not had a samosa as well executed. The dough was perfect, not too crunchy and not too chewy. The flavor was incredible. I wish I could buy the dough to make my own at home. Who am I kidding? I’d probably just fry it and eat it like chips. Yum!!! I sampled the dishes of a couple of my friends, and everything was wonderful. They even brought out a special dessert for my brother and had no issues with me bringing in a cake. All in all, it was a great experience. We will definitely be back!!!
The food here is amazing this was my second time. They are so accommodating to adjust the level of spice in your meal. Can’t wait to go back!
First time there. Our server helped us pick vegetarian dishes. We loved all of them (except one, but it was still good). She was also very attentive. There were two of us. Two appetizers, two entrees & we went home with leftovers. More than enough to eat. Would definitely recommend & return.
It’s way too expensive for what it is.
The buffet is excellent. It is amazingly good and the tandoori chicken is even better.
The very best Indian cuisine in Chicago. You betcha!
Nice Indian Restaurant. Good food. Wish they had Paneer Tikka in starters for vegetarians as only option was Chicken Tikka. For the price we paid felt that they could improve on the vegetarian starter options.
Great drinks Fine dinning. Excellent service. Demond took very good care of us. He treated us like family. Thank you! We’ll be back!!!
Our first visit after hearing so many good things about this restaurant. We were not disappointed. We will be returning.
Second time here and enjoy the wonderful aroma as you walk in. The service is always friendly and the food hot and delicious.
Food was good. We had the chicken tikka masala and chicken vindaloo, but definitely could have been spicier even though our waiter said the vindaloo was really spicy. Only complaint was that the wine was overpriced. A $40 bottle retails for $9.99 at Target. Definitely not worth it.
I come here every time I am in Chicago and its always the right decision! Food is crazy good and the service is attentive.
Really not a good experience. From the indifference of the hostess, to the table by the kitchen staring at a greasy window, to the marginal food, it was a wasted evening.
They bill themselves as “fine dining”, but it was anything but. Explore other options if you’re looking for Indian in Chicago.
Traditional lovely Indian restaurant with a solid menu, great food, and good service. I had the chicken tikka masala and it was great.
This is a very nice Indian restaurant with great food. Location is convenient. We loved the experience.
Best Indian meal ever!!
Best India buffet in chicago
The ambiance was good, the food was great and Tetiana provided excellent service
Food quality and service on decline
Our server was very helpful and attentive all night. He made great recommendations for the food choices at our table. We order paneer-pakoras, papri-chaat and punjabi goat-curry. The pakora-batter needed a pinch of salt OR some chaat masala post-frying to make-up for the lack of the right levels of salt; the papri-chaat was ordinary BUT the goat-curry is what I loved - took me back 30 years to back when I was a kid enjoying the curry my grandfather would make. It was finger licking good.
The chutneys that came with the pakoras were great BUT the 'aachar' - that should have been thrown out a long time back - its gone BAD and should not be served at this restaurant or any other for that matter.
Diwali dinner. Great food and ambiance. Enjoyed it very much!
Meeting colleague for lunch. It was very good food and service. I really enjoy valet parking during the day!
Good Indian food, generous portions, great value. I recommend this restaurant highly.
Great service, the food was very tasty but I was expecting more creative dishes.
Terrific food, okay service, pretty expensive. That sums up the evening for me. I'd certainly go again but it's tough on the wallet.
Good food and good service! Will recommend the place for sure :)
Food is always excellent! As well as service!
Great food and service, generous portions. We'd recommend India House anytime!
Not worth the money
Best Indian food in Chicago, it’s a most!
I was in town looking for delicious Indian food and I found it! It was super clean here and the style of the place was beautiful. My favorite was the yellow rice, chicken tandoori and kheer.
Too salty and not enough flavours in the dishes we ordered. Lazy service on top, very disappointing.
Good Indian food, spices very authentic, service OK
Delicious food, good service, cool atmosphere. Our favorite Indian place when we come to Chicago.
The food and the service was excellent.
Love this place
