IndeBlue - Philadelphia Ratings and Reviews
My family and I had brunch here on a Sunday. This is kid-friendly. The live musicians talked with the children. The food did take awhile to come out, but it was worth the wait. There is a large circle table in the middle of the restaurant for large parities--which made the space tight, but the guests were respectful and the energy in the restaurant was positive. Our waiter, who was the bartender too, made my family and I feel super special.
Bennett, the waiter was very welcoming from the moment my colleague and I walked through the doors. He was also very knowledgeable about the menu which led us to trying entrees that we never had before. The food and drinks were very tasty. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.
This is most certainly my favorite Indian restaurant in all of the US! Everytime I'm in Philly, I make it a point to go to IndeBlue! Their food options are so creative and so tasty! I had the 'Tasting Menu' for one, and my oh my, the quantity was just way too much for me. Nothing to complain about, but had I known I'd have ordered a smaller meal. The highlights of the tasting menu were the yummy and impressive 'Stuffed Long Hots' and the delicious 'Goat Mirch Masala'. On hindsight, I should have just ordered that, but the tasting menu sounded like a neat experience, so I went ahead with that. And it was a neat experience, just a bit too much food for me. I felt like a decadent gourmand, but you know what, I'd say it was an experience worth experiencing. I do think though that it'd be a better experience for two people together to go through.
And the IndeBlue waitstaff are exemplary - the previous night, I was at another Indian restaurant where I must have looked like Susan Storm in her invisible girl costume, based on the interaction (or lack thereof) that I experienced. IndeBlue on the other hand had the best waitstaff. They were all friendly and swung by frequently to check on me. I loved the entire experience, and will most definitely come again the next time I'm in Philly! So, please do check it out - a fab place!
We love Indian food and the cool options at IndeBlue were perfect for our night out. I had seabass and my wife had pork vindaloo; both excellent. The Tandoori tuna was really interesting, but our cheese platter that started us off really made us happiest. I wish I could recall what each cheese was, but suffice to say they each were incredible and the platter was full of great pairings. I have had cheese platters at other places that you needed to get a mortgage to afford it and a microscope to eat it. Not so at IndeBlue.
One of the BEST Indian restaurants ever!! The entire staff succeeded in making the visit extra special. Bennett was on server (outstanding) and Gina was the manager (awesome) the evening we were there, they are the BEST!!
Will be eating here every time we are in Philly
Overall IndeBlue is fantastic and one of our favorite restaurants. All the food is delicious. The room is crowded and active without being loud. The service is friendly enough but could use some work. My only real complaint is the wine list. It's short and light on good wine. If this was a BYO then it would rank among the tops in Philly.
This was my second time at Indeblue and it was even more phenomenal than the first. The ambiance was unique and romantic; our server was friendly and helpful. My boyfriend had never tried Indian food before and absolutely loved it. The crispy spinach chaat was my favorite by far, but everything we had was excellent. We will definitely be back!
