The dinner that my partner and I had at IndeBlue was the best meal that I have had this year, or perhaps in several years. The tasting menu featured ample portions of delicious and surprising food - the brussel sprouts with Indian spicing and burrata cheese was my personal favorite. The double-friend cauliflower was crispy and delicious, as were the tandoori shrimp, the lamb vindaloo, and everything, really. And the service was even better. Our server, whose name I didn't catch (he has long hair and is a hiker) was attentive and friendly, and happy to tell us about the history of the restaurant - many of the fusion items on the menu reflect the many places in the world that the owner/chef has lived. If this were a city with a Michelin guide, I am confident that this would be a two star restaurant, and the price, including a bottle of fine prosecco, an additional drink, and a deservedly generous tip was under 200 dollars.
Definitely ! We like the delicious dishes. The service is excellent. Most importantly, the people are very friendly.
LOVE this place!! Flavorful, incredibly balanced dishes. Unique cocktails. Everyone working was endlessly kind and attentive, making it a wonderfully personalized experience. 11/10 would dine again!! I cannot recommend this place enough.
Probably due to the worries about the virus the restaurant was mostly empty at 1:00 PM. for lunch. We got excellent and friendly service from the waiter who had a bit of a bond with one of the diners as they shared a name.
We all had a tasting talis which is a bargain at $16. It allows you to choose entrees and sauces and come with rice, dal, flaky naan, a samosa and dessert. I had also ordered a breadbaket which contains a number of the delicious types of naans served in the restaurant. I had expected that my nephew would take most of it home, but it was gone very early in the meal. And everyone was full after the talis sampler. For lunch it is the right amount of food
The focus in the tastefully decorated dining room is a wall sized golden tapestry which is a great backdrop for photos if you are there fo a special occasion. I have been here a number of times and is a first choice for a place to take guests who like a little spice in their life and their food, and who like it served with care and attention
Food was absolutely amazing!!
I loved this place when it was in Collingswood,N.J. but alas they closed last year. Very good food but pretty noisy. Loved the choices and the cocktail menu is very accessible.
Excellent service. Kind and pleasant staff. Great food in simple surroundings. Pork spring roll was brilliant
We visited IndeBlue during our recent visit to Philadelphia. We were looking for a restaurant within walking distance of the convention center and one that served Indian food. After receiving a recommendation, we booked a table at IndeBlue and were glad that we did. Since it was our first visit, we decided on a tasting menu and followed the recommendations of our server. We started with a wonderful cheese tray and a fantastic wine that was recommended by our server. All the dishes were well prepared and brought to us at a perfect pace. The 3 vegetable risotto was wonderful. If you're in the mood for Indian food, I highly recommend IndeBlue.
Indieblue never disappoints. The food, while not strictly traditional Indian food, is novel, well prepared and tasty. Josh our server was friendly and helpful.
Haven't been in a while so decided to go here for dinner with a friend who just moved to the city. As always, really enjoyed my experience. Our waiter was very friendly, helpful and attentive - just a great personality!
The food came out pretty quickly and was delish. I ordered the lamb and my friend ordered the Madras with naan (all of the dishes are served with a side of basmati rice as well).
Overall, good food, good experience. Recommend trying it out if you're looking for a place downtown to grab some Indian food.
The food was undoubtedly good, but the servers made the whole experience uncomfortable. Had two servers for reasons unknown and kept bothering us while we did nothing. The first server kept checking up on us every 5 minutes asking if we can order when it wasn't even busy. It felt like she was rushing us out. Again we ordered an entree and sides for each of us and it was not busy. Halfway through, a second server came by and asked if we were done. I don't understand if it's because we look young or because we look Asian. But this is an Indian restuarant and Indians are Asian. At the end, we didn't even stay for an hour for dinner. We barely ate our food because it felt so uncomfortable. Such a shame because I was very excited to try their food.
BEST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN. SIMPLY AMAZING
Consistently good, imaginative food. Service staff knows the menu and can make good recommendations.
We enjoyed our waiter and his knowledge of the dishes. We tried Brunch and was surprised at the choices. Recommend making a reservation. We arrived with our reservation when Indeblue opened on Sunday and within an hour the place full!!
A surprise like no other for 2 foodies happened to be of Indian descent. Philadelphia has had Indian restaurants galore and they have all failed to impress us. IndeBlu was very special. The ambience was great but the food was simply amazing and so was the service.
We ordered the tasting menu and it was a good call. The combination of Indian food with an European flair made this a unique restaurant. The chicken and lamb we had ordered were tender and cooked at the right levels. Different dishes cooked at appropriate temperatures and they catered the spice level to our level which is higher than normal. The desserts are very unique with the western blend to the traditional recipes.
I have written over 300 reviews for restaurants and there were only 2 other Indian restaurants I had given 5 stars to and IndeBlu would be the third one.
This is not a restaurant for people who wanna shovel Indian food. It's about quality, unique tastes and incredible service. Kudos
Did the $45 multiple course option. It was fantastic , the lamb shanks for appetizer were great.
You get a nice variety of food , I was satisfied and stuffed on the way out .
Service was very attentive. Food was superb and we enjoyed some great cocktails.
The food was unique and fabulous. We loved th spinach chat, Brussel sprouts, and the Indian ice cream. Bennett our waiter was so helpful and such a pleasure.
Phenomenal place. They always have excellent food at a reasonable price. I've been coming here for 5 years and love it more each and every time.
Best server ever! Hostess was a bit rude, but will be back because of the incredible food and terrific wait staff.
Food was fantastic. We let our server, Josh, pick our selections doing the tasting menu. It was perfect and Josh was terrific.
Our favorite Philly restaurant. The food is fabulous and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable.
Wonderful meal! Great recs from the waiter!
Delicious food and great service! I highly recommend the Indeblutini!
My favorite Indian restaurant in Philly! Must go to.
We had a vegan at my table and he had lots of options available
The waiter converted some of our dishes to vegan with no problems
Food was delish and the night was great!
Terrific food and service. Lighting was aesthetic, but a little too dim in my opinion
IndeBlue has a unique approach to blending a new style of preparation and presentation to Indian food, with imaginative dishes.
I visited with a group at lunch, we each got the lunch special build your own thali. Everything was delicious and it was a ton of food!! Service was pleasant and quick.
Our server is always the best. He makes the best food recommendations.
Very exciting & stimulating experience for a first time being at Indeblue and getting some recommendations ~ thank you for a wonderful time and we look forward to experimenting in the future as well!
Wonderful restaurant all around. Our waiter was great! So friendly and helpful. Food was outstanding. Interesting upscale twists on traditional Indian food. I will be back.
Great food. A little pricey, but totally worth it. I'd love to come back and try some different items.
My husband and I went here for Valentine’s Day and the food was great. We both enjoyed the pepper soup and the paella was amazing. The service was outstanding and I definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be going back and taking some friends along.
IndeBlue is an absolute gem; one of those rare places where everything clicks and is consistently spot-on: the food, the people and service, the ambiance! We've been coming to IndeBlue for many years and as great as it has been, it only gets better! Josh —always a warm gracious host and our waiter, Bennet, —just superb! His knowledge and thoroughly engaging enthusiasm for the foods never disappoints. The entire operation runs so smoothly and evenly, that it makes for a meal/occasion to remember…and talk about!
The crispy spinach chaat —an absolute delight, the samundri —a unique and special dish! Time and again, inedible consitiantly excellent! And we're so glad they brought back the stuffed long hot peppers!
Great food, nice atmosphere. We did the chef tasting menu and portions were kind of small for the price. If this is a tapas place that's on me for not knowing. Overall enjoyed the experience. Definitely recommend to those who are fans of Indian food or want to try a few dishes.
Great food, went for my bday and hand a lot of fun. The staff was nice but they will ignore you if they are not assigned to your table, food came out fast and her out waitress was amazing!
IndeBlue never fails to impress. We went for our 5th Anniversary and did the tasting menu (which is our usual choice here). It was decadent the whole way through. We had our all time favorite, the Sea Bass Vindaloo and the Lamb Laal Maas, both of which were delicious. Highly recommend the scallop appetizer and the sampler for dessert- both the banana one and the chocolate one were to die for. Our server was attentive throughout the meal and they sent out a nice celebration surprise at the end.
Food tastes better than Barclay
We ordered a variety of veg plates. Everything was delicious. The only problem was that they brought 4 dishes at one time. Table for 2 was uncomfortably crowded. Also they forgot to bring the naan.
