Our all time local favorite. We like to cook a lot and are often let down by other restaurants. Frequently the food at other restaurants is good, but not great. We end up thinking we could have done it better ourselves. Going out to eat became more of a convenience than a thing to look forward to and anticipate. IndeBlue changes all of that. Everything on the menu is delicious. Over and over, IndeBlue is the only restaurant that we consistently leave thinking, "Yes, that was worth paying for." The variety and blends of flavors kept us coming back to this neighborhood gem for all of our special occasions, celebrations, or just-because dinners.
For a prime time reservation on a Saturday night at a well rated restaurant, I expected more out of the service. Staff seemed indifferent and not very knowledgeable. This is my second time dining here in the last few months, and I had a similar experience before, however our server was at least very attentive. The special goat appetizer was very good, and the rest of the food was well received. None of the dishes stood out, but they did not disappoint. The service was really the only downside.
We shared our apps and meals and everything was outstanding. The spinach app is not to be missed (even my 91 yr old non spinach lover loved it). Great service too. We sat for quite awhile reminiscing after dinner and appreciated the staff's patience with us.
Great meal! Our server was really nice! We had a group of 6 with two people who were very late and our server was so nice about it, opened our wine and gave us time to settle in. Spinach chatt, long hits, and paneer was amazing! Second time there and had a great experience both times!
Went for NYE. There was a set menu for 60/pp for 6 courses. Service was bad food was ok but rushed. We were not given wine or all dessert included in the holiday menu. No explanation was given and meal itself seemed very rushed. Server seemed like it was an inconvenience to be there. Frustrating visit. Will not go back.
Food,service, very good. Only negative; Very cold in the restaurant, every time the door opened, you felt like you were celebrating new years eve outside. They need a vestibule to keep the cold weather out. I commented to our waiter. We will be back in the spring,when we can enjoy dinner in comfort.
Another excellent dinner at IndeBlue restaurant. We started with the cheese plate which offered three different types of cheeses accompanied by three different types of sauces, palak cashews, 2 spicy peppers and naan - Everything was excellent. We then enjoyed our entrees (Can’t remember what everyone had but I know they enjoyed it). I ordered the shrimp moilee - It was exceptional. We will be sure to visit this restaurant again.
It was the first time for IndeBlue - we have heard so many good things about it. However, my husband's butter chicken dish was very disappointing. The chicken was rubbery - overcooked. It also looked like it was pre-cooked and just added to the sauce. My tikka masala was ok. we also ordered the BBQ port samosas and the dough wasn't cooked through - very disappointing. I thought it was a bit of a cheek to charge for chutney. We would probably try again to see if our first experience was a fluke; but probably wouldn't recommend.
Great spot off the main thoroughfare. Heather was *very* accommodating and took time to explain how the foods were prepared, what they included, and what her favorites were. We had a fairly comfortable table for four. The food was absolutely delicious, all four of us enjoyed all of the dishes, and the food just kept coming and coming. We ordered the special where you pick a few appetizers, a few entrees, and the deserts. Great food, great value.
The service was excellent with all the waiters taking care of each customers nicely ... Overall food was good except Bhaighan Bharta which smelled and tasted like stale stuff though staff offered to replace with something else we didn't exchanged and left the vegetable ....
We have been long standing customers for many years and always had a good experience. I cannot say that about Sunday, November 19th. The food was too spicy, pumpkin soup was cold. The Venison special was tough and fatty. The lamb meal my husband had, had more rice than lamb and was bland. I feel that the concentration is at the Philadelphia location. We were very disappointed.
Amazing food! The waiter recommended some awesome food. Get the spinach chatt and paneer, it was so good! Not very expensive, BYOB, but they offer a few bottles of wine which is great! It was crowded but we got our food quickly and the whole meal was 1.5 hours. Definitely going back.
Wonderful food marred by an overworked kitchen that meant for a long wait for even one of many courses ordered. No real excuse, but the food is so good and we didn't have a time constraint that I would return again in a heartbeat. Our wonderful waitress, Lori, made up for it with a complimentary dessert of yummy fig ice cream.
