Really great drinks and food!
I would go back! Waiter was lovely, food was great
Good food, good service, fair price. Sadly - so loud I could not hear my companion who was right next to me, he could not hear me, and I left with a headache.
If you're going - go early before the screaming crowds arrive.
Had the pork appetizer.. AMAZING. Also had the seafood pasta... seafood was so fresh and the sauce was awesome. And the Cippola pizza. Also unreal. We loved it. Can't wait to come back.
There's a reason this is one of my favorite spots in the city. I've NEVER had a bad meal here, and after being shut in and quarantined for months, it was absolutely DELIGHTFUL to sit on the patio, enjoy the breeze, my company, and the impeccable dishes found here.
Really delicious cocktails, pasta, pizza, and cheese board. Outdoor dining was quiet and felt very safe.
Always a fantastic meal. Must gets: spicy chicken parm, mommas meatballs, spaghetti, bucatini, crab pizza
Came from Washington DC to take my mom to lunch for her birthday. She lives in Philly, which is where I’m originally from. Had passed this place 100 times. Was very surprised. Food was extremely fresh, well prepared and great presentation. The drinks were delicious...had margaritas. We will definitely return.
Don't be fooled by the casual ambience. The food is authentic Italiano! From the freshly grated parmesan cheese for the accoutrements to "sprinkle on", to the thin crust pizza that melts in your mouth. The table service is wonderfully attentive. The food reminded us of our travels to Roma, Milano, and to Florenze Italy!! Ciao Bella In Riva! We will be back! From DC..
Best restaurant in East Falls and right up there with best in Philadelphia. Food, service and atmosphere are wonderful. I live in East Falls, this is my go to. Family, friends, anyone who comes to visit loves the experience.
Great outdoor atmosphere. Food is always consistent and excellent. Service was attentive but not intrusive
Staff is friendly, food was decent but it was not as it was. Our dishes were served by the cooks and one at a time for a table of 3. The seemed to be short staffed as are many restaurants post pandemic.
In Riva has excellent food for reasonable prices, a beautiful set up and decor, and lots of dining choices. The last time I went, however, it was a little dirty: there were giant spiders hanging above tables, and the tables themselves were dirty and wet (there is a lot of gunk stuck between the boards on the table that don't seem to have been cleaned in a while...). Additionally, the check got wet when it was brought to us because it wasn't brought on any type of clipboard/backing - it just seemed like the little details at which In Riva is normally so good are not being thought of. That said, In Riva is still great - I will definitely return.
One of our favorite places. Can't beat the pizza. It was just my kids and I this time, and we had a great time.
Always a fun place to eat with great food and drinks!
I wouldn’t consider the noise level “energetic” as much as I’d consider it loud. Food is mediocre - setting also mediocre. Service wasn’t good. As my husband and I were being seated, the first thing and only thing said was “there’s a 2-hour limit”. I understand what it means to have reservations (as we had one, and obviously there are people coming in after us)... but like, please... it’s not like this is some “sit and chill / fine dining” experience. Huge turn off. Cocktails also aren’t worth the cost. Not great.
They eliminated their brunch menu on Sunday which was disappointing, but mostly there is a distinct smell outside dining. It’s either a very strong cleaner or the veneer on their outside tables, either way, it was not appetizing. There was also a sticker inside my glass with writing on it, but accidents happen, I guess. Getting rid of the weird smell would be top priority.
Great location and view. Always good food.
In Riva was a great stop for a graduation celebration. We sat outside on the patio on a warm spring evening and it was perfect. Food was great, drinks were great, service was great. We will definitely be back.
Came here before definitely will come back again.
Parking a bit of a challenge but a large lot next door. Seating on a Friday nite was prompt and efficient. Service was excellent. San Gria drink was exceptional and they had Heineken 0... My Targaltoine pasta was quite good and had a hot kick to it... Tomatoe salad very fresh.... Pea Soup is rated BEST IN CITY,,, due to they whole way they serve it with fresh peas and bread crumbs dry in a bowl and then they pour over the hot soup mix. Best in City by a long shot.
Their dog area is so awesome!
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend the Bianca verde pizza... yum!
Food was delicious. The view from the deck is amazing. Abby was our server. She checked back with us often even though the deck was crowded. I highly recommend visiting In Riva this summer and sitting outside.
Came with my mom for a little girls lunch and it was some of the best food we’ve had in a long time! Will definitely be coming back for a family dinner in the near future!
The Hard Rock Metal Music was Very Loud and took a bit away from the ambience of being outside on a beautiful spring evening overlooking the river. We had to yell at each other to talk; however, the food and service both were excellent. We could not hear the lady who sat us either, as not only was the music so loud, but she has to wear a mask outside, so we sort of had to guess what she was telling us. We figured out she was trying to tell us, after about four attempts, that we had a time limit of two hours, which was just fine.
This was my first time there and the service was terrible. It was very crowded for early in the week. The pizza was burnt and the noise was crazy. Will not be back. Was not impressed at all.
Simply amazing! Food is delicious and the cocktails were just as good! A family member bought us a gift card a month ago for us to pick up. We didn’t pick it up for a while and we were hoping to pay with the gift card when we went. For some reason they didn’t have it but the manager kindly knocked off the price of the gift card on our bill which was so great. Amazing service all around. They were very busy on Tuesday during happy hour but our server still was able to provide timely and excellent service. Would highly recommend This place to anyone who wants upscale Italian food at affordable prices
The food was delicious. I loved the fact that we could enjoy food and drinks on the patio. Waitress was very attentive. The parking lot is tight and tricky. I suggest parking at the lot across the street.
The outdoor seating was lovely and the food was excellent. My favorite pizza.
We love the food here. No matter the group of folks we bring, everyone enjoys their meal. My favorite is the pizza.
Always enjoy a visit here on the outdoor patio!
The pasta dishes were delicious but a tad bit small. Service was a bit impersonal. The bathroom sinks did not have running water.
With this being said, I will still go back because overall experience was good.
We had such a great time here for lunch! The food was delicious and sitting outside was lovely under an umbrella.
Great environment. Great food.
The pizza, the views, and the people. A nice escape
Riva must have been short some Servers because service was painfully slow. However, the ribs as an appetizer were excellent and the pizza was good. Unfortunately, we had an outdoor table on the side and the noise from the heavy auto traffic there was very loud and constant.
