In Riva is a Southern Italian inspired restaurant with urban flair, specializing in Napoletana style pizza, house-made pasta and contemporary antipasti. In Riva also offers an eclectic array of new and old world wines, Italian craft beers and racy specialty cocktails.
Everything we had was great. Their homemade pasta is fantastic, and the service was friendly but impeccable. It's hard to hear at times.
I can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant and was completely happy with everything. Food was delicious, service was great, and 6 people could hear one another, carry on a conversation, and not have to scream across the table. Don't leave without trying the whipped ricotta. If for some odd reason you don't finish it as an appetizer, you will be putting it on whatever else you ordered as you entree!
Great for a date. Lots of menu options and good sangria. Excellent service
Never had a bad meal or experience at InRiva. Very innovative pasta dishes, appetizers and wood-fired-oven pizza. Great wine list with special wines you can't buy locally and a great selection of draft beers. The wait staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Love this place for any occasion!
Love this place, so glad they are now doing brunch, and their bottomless brunch menu is the best in the city!!
As always the food was outstanding, the service was wonderful, but the noise level is off the charts. Still, it's that good!
I loved the food, and our server was great! Friendly, accommodating to some dietary needs. Great place!
In Riva is great - been coming since they opened. They put out a wonderful mix of home made crunchy chickpeas and pistachios when you sit down. The pizza, salads and small tapas style dishes are wonderful. For kids they offer pasta and pizzas. From the bar they have everything you could want, really like their Sunday night half priced bottles of wine.
In the summer their outdoor bar and deck opens, and they have a dog friendly area that is enclosed outdoors if you want to eat and drink with your pup.
Go for home made gelato or sorbet to wrap up the night.
Very cold and drafty
60th bday party. Nice evening. My brother from California commented that the food was very flavorful and not what he expected from the decor. Thought it would be more typical bar fare. Not at all. Well worth a visit
Love this place - a staple of east falls!! I bring everyone who visits me here. Best pizza, great salads, unique shared plate options. Great in nice weather months for outdoor seating as well.
Fantastic food, great service, really loud background music.
The whipped ricotta appetizer is amazing! Small plates are great.
Great salads and good cocktails. Fun night out with friends
We got the three course special for four people, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. We got to try so many different menu options (honestly all delicious) and they work with you if the table has any allergies or dislikes. Wait staff was great. We are definitely going back soon.
The asparagus starter and the pizza were both delicious!!!
Great food and service, definitely looking forward to going back!!
Fun spot for birthday dinner with son in college in Philly & friends. Our waitress was great, staff very accommodating. Worth the extra drive, and they have a parking lot. Center city parking is tough.
Took a colleague from Harrisburg to In Riva and she fell in love with everything about it, especially the pizza. Delish!
In Riva is one of our all time favorite spots in East Falls! We will continue to come back. Great food, service, and value!
We go primarily for their wood oven pizza, but invariably always order other things too. One of many visits. Great all around. Will be back- again and again...
Great food with a vibrant vibe. Had a large group with two who were 78. Place was a bit loud and active when we walked in and I thought the old-folks would struggle. Wasn't always easy to hear each other, but everything else about the place was excellent. Great spot for a night our with friends.
Great service and food delicious as always - mushroom & zucchini pizza, prosciutto & arugula pizza, kale salad and great draft and bottle craft beer selection.
This is a must-go if you’re craving some delicious pizza with tasty, creative toppings. Every combination of pizza toppings they offer that I’ve tried so far has always hit the mark. The menu changes seasonally, which means that if you wait a bit of time before returning, there will be new pizzas offered on the menu, as well as new alcoholic drinks. We went at 8pm as a group of four and the place was HOPPING! It took quite a bit of yelling to hear one another and the lighting is not the best if you want to take a good Instagram picture of your food, but overall once we instead occupied ourselves with eating everything was outstanding.
Delicious and great service
Great Food! Will definitely be back! thanks for a great time!
This place is always good. They are innovative with what they have to offer. Appetizers and pizzas are delicious. They have a good wine list too. I really like this place. It is so much better in warmer months when you can sit outside and enjoy the sights. This last visit was very cold. They need some kinds of air lock on entrance to keep out cold air - and we were not even the closest table to the door.
Huge improvement, good service. We were a group of 7 moms and InRiva staff rally took good care of us- salads were amazing: great healthy choice and light dressing absolutely yummy and brick Oven en pizzas were also good- great choices with fresh mushroom, zucchini or just a basic margarita pizza.. thumbs up!
Lovely atmosphere, good food, friendly service
Finally made it to In Riva. And what the hell took me so long? We had the Broccolini Caesar and Arugula and Mushroom salads, Shrimp Calabrese, Gemelli with Braised Lamb and Olives and the Romana pizza. Everything was spot on — with the exception of the Romana. The olives were a little overpowering. But that crust! Oh em gee! We truly enjoyed ourselves. Waitstaff was helpful and unobtrusive. Good vibes. At times the decibel level got up there but overall not bad for a Saturday night. Already plotting my menu selections for my return, which will be soon.
Food is good but the hostess was rude.
I love this place. When I go to Manayunk, this is my restaurant of choice.
Everything was great. Food delicious. Service excellent.
Great food and drink
I love InRiva! Their pizza is something I crave and the arugula salad is the best! I just have to go there to satisfy my cravings. And it’s a great place to relax with friends especially when the weather is good enough to eat outside.
We always enjoy In Riva.
My friend and I really enjoyed In Riva. I'd been there recently with some girlfriends for lunch and liked it then as well. At dinner,we shared "The Mix" which is a cheese and meat plate-2 cheeses,2 meats of your choice. It was an excellent appetizer. For entrees,my friend had the gnocchi; I tried the gnudi. Even though the waiter described the ingredients accurately,I was still a little surprised at the strong flavor of the cheese in the gnudi. We each had wine by the glass that we liked. They were reasonably priced, and were decent pours. That's high praise from us since we almost always go to BYOs.
By the way,our waiter was great-knowledgeable, fun, efficient. (Unfortunately,I've forgotten her name.) She checked on us regularly but let us set the pace of the meal. She made our visit even better. And,the gentleman who was the host that night was fun. There was a short wait for our table, but we had a very nice conversation with him that helped pass the time.
We plan on going back and trying some more entrees-maybe the pizzas?
VERY NOISE, HARD TO HEAR ACROSS THE TABLE. NOT A GGOD PLACE FOR DATES OR CONVERSATION
My girlfriend and I move to East Falls in September and had our first local date night on Saturday. In Riva was top notch. Everything from the service to the food was spectacular and we will definitely be coming back!
