Wonderful as always!
Everything was wonderful from our server Lauren to the grilled octopus, duck rigatoni and the pizza. I always get the pizza but decided to add the other dishes and was not disappointed.
Although my date and I enjoyed our meal we were very disappointed not to receive outdoor seating as requested when we arrived promptly. We were seated near the patio area-inside.
In anticipation of the beautiful weather I made reservation “days” in advance and upon arrival we were told outdoor seating could not be reserved.
We have gone to many nice restaurants and have never experienced this- especially when reservations were made far in advance of arrival.
Mushroom & zucchini has just the right amount of hot peppers!
Great specials on Tuesdays!
We’ve been here almost 10 times and the place never disappoints.
I'd been to In Riva to meet folks for a light bite and enjoyed their brick oven pizzas and beer. By coincidence I was there with groups of 6 two weeks in a row and had the chef's menu both times. The first week we had the 5-course menu. The courses were all delicious and creative, served family style. We loved everything, even the simple arugula salad exploded with flavor--non-salad eaters loved it! Though it was a group of big eaters, we were stuffed by the end and couldn't eat the next day. The next week, also with big eaters, we had the 3-course chef's menu and were delighted. Each item was well prepared, interesting, delicious and easy to share. We were full at the end but not stuffed. The wait staff were informative and as attentive as needed for the casual atmosphere. For example, one of my standards is attention to specific individual needs: they were on the ball with water refills and proper utensils. My single suggestion is to slow down the first course. It included a number of appetizers, presented in rapid sequence and both times we felt rushed to keep up with the service. (Hence 4/5 stars for service) the cocktails were also good! Good food at a reasonable price in a pleasant, casual atmosphere.
Our waitress was delightful and the food is good but $54 for a pizza salad and app is a little steep for me.
We visited in Riva for Sunday brunch. The grilled asaparagus and "sticky" pork ribs were superb, as was the pizza with pistachio, red onion and cheese. Enjoyed the small plate selections which are large enough for sharing but small enough to encourage patrons to sample numerous offerings. The atmosphere was lively and the bar was buzzing! We will be back.!
Gnocchi, grilled octopus, and marg. pizza were delicious . The chef’s sauces!!! Our server Ashley was knowledgeable, friendly, and adorable.
First time visiting this neighborhood establishment and my husband and I were very pleased and plan on returning very soon!
Quick service, good food. Slightly overpriced.
In Riva was incredible! We enjoyed our time visiting and will absolutely be back! We ordered something from each part of the menu and it was all amazing.
Our first visit was incredible! Went here for my mom’s birthday but didn’t want to deal with the typical inner city traffic. At first impression In Riva may appear as your typical casual gourmet pizza restaurant (and the pizza IS fantastic!!), but after sampling the menu’s various small plates, salad and pasta, we were continually blown away at the quality and taste of the food. Honestly there was NOTHING on the menu we didn’t love. So whether you just want some craft beer and a few slices with friends, or are spending an evening with someone and want superb cuisine, In Riva should be able to meet any occasion perfectly. I’ll be back for their Sunday brunch!!
This is a wonderful fun place. I made reservations at the last minute, food was amazing and service was fabulous. It was a bit noisy, but fun for a Saturday night, we ordered a ton of food and loved it.
Love this restaurant!! Delish, relaxed and fun!
Great food, great service. There was a distinct odor from a cleaning product that was a little weird. Great restaurant though.
One of our favorites - never disappoints us
Jenna was great!
Seated in a remote corner with slow service and unbelievably loud.
This is the second time we've been to In Riva, and both times the meal has been excellent. We had the octopus and the meatball appetizer and both were outstanding. The pizza has a nice crust that's thin but has a nice chew. The pastas were all delicious.
Very good!! We had a pizza and the broccolini caesar salad, both were quite tasty. Portions very big. Service very attentive.
Continues to be a favorite.. the food, the staff, the location... and they go out of their way to make our pup welcome in the outside pet area.. #ContinuedSuccess #MissUtleysFavorite
I love this place everything is amazing i’ve been here more than 20 times already lol , I always order the octopus I can’t stay away from it!! There pizza is so tasty 😋 you can’t go wrong here
Very cool place that we've been meaning to go for a while, and I'm glad we went. Atmosphere was great, food was very good, and so were the drinks. My only complaint (and its minor and wouldn't stop me from returning) is the wine was a little expensive. I thought the food was priced right. Our service was also extremely top notch. We'll be back.
Restaurant food was tasty, but the pizza crust was not crispy. Seating was not comfortable. We were 2 and there were couples sitting at tables for four. One couple left as we arrived. In my profile, I request that because of a back issue, my husband prefers a larger table. When we requested the larger table, we were told that it was being held for reservations. However, a party of 2 was seated there. This spoiled our dinner. We will give the restaurant another try and hope that the seating situation will improve.
Everyone in our party was impressed with the food. We loved the arugula salad, grilled octopus, bronzino, and pizzas. The fried artichoke was fair but tasty sauce. I look forward to coming back when it’s warm outside to dine on the outdoor patio!
Great local spot with delicious food. Consistently good!
Our server was excellent! Always attentive and refilling water without asking and this has lacked at In Riva in the past. I wish I had her name. Food was excellent as always!
This is a very fine establishment. We dine there often. They have a delightful menu that we are pleasantly working our way through. In Riva has my highest recommendation.
Pizza and Pasta to share ! Great food and service with a view of the Wissahickon Creek!
The food, service, everything exceeded my expectations. This is a must for your list!
We enjoyed the broccoli rabe salad and the mushroom and lamb pastas. My main quibble is the sodium level of the dishes . And sitting up against wall made for a chilly seat.
But In Riva remains one of our favorite Friday night dinner spots
I've eten here many times and the place was always great, however, the service and the quality of the food seems to have taken a downturn. The food and service used to be outstanding but the last few times the food and service were just okay. For example, the place wasn't busy and we got sat at the worst table in the place, a two topper right next to the cinder block wall. Then, we waited for 15 minutes for a server to wait on us. Meanwhile, we saw two other tables get seated, at better tables, and get waited on before our server even came to our table. I'm not sure why things have gotten worse but either way I think In-Riva needs to step up their game.
In Riva has a great menu for every day dining that still feels special. The side vegetable dishes are delicious, the pizzas are great and so is the pasta. It's easy to eat healthy, vegetarian and also splurge. Food is very high quality.
Great food. Great Service. The wood fired pizza was outstanding, the beer selection was great. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Looks like I found a new "favorite place"
Excellent food and excellent service. We had charred octopus, gemelli pasta with braised lamb, and two pizzas (eggplant and soppressata). Everything we ate was delicious, and we were pleased with the wine list as well. Will definitely be back!
Sooo good!!
Excellent dining experience. Ample parking, friendly staff, delicious food. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Best chick peas ever. Lovely staff although people at the front desk seem to ignore you and be into their own conversations. Pizza very good for a city with lots of pretty good wood fired. Not lots of charring. Edge Crust a bit large but good texture. I saved mine and had it for .breakfast lightly toasted. Sauce was good and plenty of topping.
