We got there in time to do the Happy Hour (3-6 pm), which is a really good deal. Happy Hour white wine selection is $5 a glass (Scarpetta, Frico Bianco, Italy) and it is not bad at all. Me and my daughter laughed at the thought of an Italian white wine with Asian food, but it worked. There was also a selection of non-alcoholic drinks. La J got a drink called Shaman (cranberry, grape, mallorca melon, lime and ginger beer). The Happy Hour menu isn't extension, but it is very satisfying. In additional to shrimp dumplings, we got the Gua Bao (Braised pork belly, spinach steamed bun) as well as a Fried Chicken bun. There were three pieces in the order and they were of a nice size. The pork that was in each bun was a nice size. You can also get a small Ramen for $6, with following options: char siu wonton, roasted chicken, braised pork belly, brisket and mixed mushrooms. Between all of that, you will walk out full and possibly with some leftovers. Honestly, you can do dumplings and bao at this place and never hit a ramen bowl, it is that filling. For dessert we got a free order of the Salted Egg Bao (Steamed Molten Egg Custard Bun). It sounds like a combination of flavors that would not work, but it does. Light and refreshing, I could totally do these with champagne as a brunch item.

Our server was well educated on the menu and made excellent recommendations. The soup dumplings are the best! A hidden gem that you must try, suggested by our server, is the fried turnip.

I had to say any other staff in the restaurant was way more helpful than my waitress today. I made reservation for 2:45, arrived by 2:40, the girl by the entrance was super nice and friendly, led me to my table. Waited for a solid 10 mins and my waitress showed up. My first round order was the combination of siu long bao, beef ramen, and piggy bao. She confirmed and repeated and my order and left. I had ramen being served first. While I was eating, I thought it would be good to order more snacks to take back to the hotel. The show started..I tried to call her to get her attention, didn’t work. Waived my arms when she looked at my direction, she again managed to ignore it, at least 3 times. Finally I had her attention and asked for the menu. Of course it’s another solid 10mins to get her attention again to order more. Then I had pumpkin bun and piggy bao as well as duck salad up, the siu long bao that I ordered during the first round was still not up and I noticed the table at my left side was seated and ordered way after me but got the siu long bao first. That was about 30mins after I started dining. Then I began another round to try to grab her attention to ask about the dish. To the point I failed...I had to ask another waiter to follow up with my waitress. The restaurant was nice enough to put the siu long bao on the house because of the super long wait. However, tbh, if the waitress can have more attention to her customers then she would notice I try to get her attention to follow up on the dish and may not take that long. For the entire dining time, she didn’t come even once to my table to refill the water. I noticed another table of four that closed to me was also left hanging there without service. Same thing, they had to ask for a different waiter for water refill. At the end i asked for bill to pay...of course, omg it’s another solid 10mins. She took my card and disappeared instead of processing my card. More than half of my dinning time was wasted on her

Came for Saturday night dinner. Service was great but food was nothing worth noting. Soup dumpling wrapper was thick and tough and some under-cooked, filling was okay but very salty and oily. La Mian was lacking any aromatic spices and was pretty unimpressive overall. Get more for your money in Chinatown.

Imperial Lamian is a beautiful restaurant with delicious and authentic food. Service is great, they know their stuff. For the most part serving sizes are good. My only gripe would be the Roasted Duck, which was perfectly cooked, but $30 for a 1/4 duck is absolutely bananas.

We came to try the colorful and fun-looking Xiao Long Bao, with each color representing a different flavor, and while this itself was delicious, the true star of the night was the London Duck. Great atmosphere and service. And drinks! We got the Szechuan Mule (green drink) and the Tsunami (orange).

Food was outstanding. The service was a little spotty as they did not course out the meal properly and they did not make it very clear that most of the plates were enough for 2 to share. But it was still worth it. Great prices for the amount of food you get, and all the food was delicious! All in all loved it and would totally go again.

Imperial Lamian has good food, but is not a good value for the money. The dishes were tasty, but over priced; we spent about $45 per person, and that included one beer each. We could have eaten at least twice for that money, with the same quality, in Chinatown.

Definitely go to try the soup dumplings. There were various flavors, some non traditional but all a great experience. Just be sure to pick the dumpings up carefully, some of ours stuck to the small mat at the bottom of the steamer and the soup leaks out if there are any tears or breaks in the dough. The jasmine tea BBQ ribs were delicious! We also had the sesame balls and egg tarts for dessert. The staff noted that it was my husband's birthday because I clicked the button on Open Table. They automatically gave him the sesame balls for his birthday.

This first time I came here, the food was excellent, however, I have been back here now 4 additional times and each time the food has gotten progressively worse. This time the food was lukewarm and just not good. The calamari was over cooked and slightly burnt in some areas. Just overall not a good experience at all. Not sure I will go back again.

The place really deserves 4 stars, but we had an issue getting a table. We arrived with no reso and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. I walked outside, booked a reso on open table for 6 minutes in future. We returned, the host said, “you’re back!” We told them we made a reservation on OpenTable because there were several slots open. We were seated immediately. Why not just give us the table to begin with?? Otherwise, the food is pretty darn good.

We went with high expectations, having lived in Southeast Asia. Found the flavors a bit bland and the soup dumplings were not as delicate as we are used to. The noodles were very nice, pork belly and char siu also had good flavor. The duck was dry, and the Momo was not what I have had elsewhere. Not worth the prices, though we are glad to have tried it. Service was top notch and attentive.
