   Consistently excellent food and service (5th or 6th time we went there--never disappointed). One of the best restaurants in the area. We sat in the beautiful patio but, unfortunately, it got too cold and the restaurant was unable to provide patio heaters. Too bad, because it was a lovely night. Too bad also that they don't allow BYOB anymore...

   Great outdoor dining - got there before the dinner rush on a weekday and had the whole patio to ourselves. Service was fantastic, responsive; we felt well attended and welcomed. Food was very good to excellent - one dish was a bit less excellent than we expected, but certainly good (enough) - I'm sure that if it were complaint-worthy the problem would have been corrected. We'll be back to try other items on the menu. Versatile venue, well suited for both intimate outings (like ours) and large parties.

   First time dining at Il Villaggio and we enjoyed our dinner and our server very much. Pallo was such a pleasure to have serve us. Kept us entertained with his personality and charm. The food was great, everyone that came to our table to help with our plates and to fill out drinks were very friendly as well. We look forward to visiting again with friends.

    OK so this review is based on my experience at this restaurant on Mother’s Day. I have been here prior for dinner when they were a BYOB. I understand Mother’s Day is very hectic. Restaurants are probably over packed and understaffed. However, the service of our entrées literally took 45 minutes to an hour. We were seated right away. I was there 20 minutes before my reservation. I was happy that we were seated. Seems like the bar is slow . I was the only one who ordered a beverage from the bar .I placed an order of appetizers along with out entrées . Appetizers came out quickly came out quickly salad and calamari. 4 entrées took close to 45 minutes to an hour. My 12 year old was dying ,our reservation was at 1 PM so of course we had a light breakfast and nothing else .I wouldn’t go back on Mother’s Day. Our waiter James was very nice and very sweet and kept checking in on us apologized about the food being slow to come out but my poor 78-year-old mother I was worried about her . We devoured the bread that’s how hungry we were

    I've had better penne vodka at my local pizza parlor (which also isn't very good). The "Jumbo Shrimp + Tagliatelle" in reality was "2 Jumbo shrimp and plenty of salad shrimp w/ fettuccine and flavorless wine sauce". The bill was close in price to the fancy Italian restaurant over on route 70, so don't waste your time here. It's really that bad. My Negroni was quite good, though!

    WE WAITED AT LEAST AN HOUR AFTER OUR DRINKS AND APPETIZER TO RECEIVE AN ENTREE. I ORDERED SCALLOPS AND RISOTTO. TASTED VERY GOOD BUT ONLY 3 SCALLOPS WERE IN THE DISH. AMBIENCE WAS NICE, BUT VERY NOISEY. I WOULDN'T GO BACK IN A HURRY!

    I am so glad I went to try Il Villagio with my sister. The service was excellent, the food tasty, and the environment and ambiance matched. We went in the afternoon, so we were the only table dining at the time. Everyone was attentive and was a pleasure to encounter. I will be going back soon for the dinner menu.

    From the valet, to the appetizers (crab bisque soup,filet meatballs and broccoli rabe) to our entrees and dessert, Il Villaggio did NOT disappoint. The food was paced out perfectly with great service and everything tasted absolutely amazing!

    We have been to this restaurant many times before and it was always one of our favorites. Last night we invited some of our friends who had never been to join us. Unfortunately, the experience was very underwhelming. They used to be a byob, however they now have a liquor license and perhaps this is more of a focus now than their food, but whatever else has changed, it was not for the better. The wait for food and drinks was long despite the empty tables, drinks were confused among tables, and the food was lackluster as compared to previous. A $47 special entree of short rib was mostly fat, and more polenta than meat. While the seafood on the risotto was good, the risotto was a bit runny and wanting of flavor. While grated cheese was offered, none arrived. Our table was for 5:30 and we didn’t leave until close to 9pm, and we paid soon after receiving the check. I have to say, I am sad to post this but I don’t think we will be visiting again soon.

    I booked this reservation so far in advance, We should have had a great room! Unfortunately, we were stuck in a room that smelled musty with no ombiance whatsoever. I had a big party of 15 and another party of 7. I invited friends from PA and I was MORTIFIED! I will say the servers were the best!!!

    Food was outstanding but they are short staffed like other places. It took us three hours to get through dinner, but we had a great time so no rush. They need to button up on making and serving drinks, and didn’t make any attempt to make up for the extremely slow service. Not sure where the manager was but not an organized business.

    The escargots were not the usual. They were ok but was looking for the garlic/buttery juice to dip in. Crab cake was flat. Veal chop was exellent as was the Veal Piccata. Overall the meal was good with a few disappointing moments.

    Delicious apps and dinner for four. As usual the filet and veal chop were delectable as was the special, homemade tagliatelle with seafood and ramps. We also enjoyed the sea salt chocolate gelato which was a generous portion shared by three.

    Ordered the seafood bisque and calamari as an appetizer, neither disappoints! The seafood bisque had lots of shrimp and crabmeat. I was pleasantly surprised when the calamari arrived and it wasn’t breaded and fried, it was in a buttery lemon sauce. So enjoyable!

    Service was very good. We had requested to sit by the fireplace. The hostess did not read our note until we were seated in another room - disappointing. The Easter menu was disappointing - very few choices. No beef or ham on the menu! We were very surprised. Their everyday menu is much better.

    This was our first time here and will not be our last! Everything was wonderful, great service, very pleasant staff and absolutely delicious food! The restaurant is authentic and pretty!!! My Tilefish special was fresh and scrumptious. My hubby had the pork chop and said it was tender, juicy and seasoned perfect. Also enjoyed a glass of moscato from the full service bar. Can’t wait to go back and try another selection from the menu. 👍🏻👍🏻
