    We celebrated my brother’s “Big” birthday here. Made a reservation online for 5, asked for the patio/garden (largely due to Covid concerns). Our table was ready when we arrived, waiters were beyond kind and accommodating to my 90-year-old mother, and they were fun, too! “Joe from Philly” helped us navigate the menu, try a few new things, but not order too much. Grilled calamari, fresh raw oysters, and stuffed long hots started us off with a bang! Caesar salad was very authentic yet with interesting touches like large crunchy bread crumbs instead of huge chunky croutons. Beet salad likewise delicious with red and golden beet chunks, pistachios, arugula and goat cheese. Entrees ranged from a gorgeous seafood linguine to several veal dishes, and Branzino with huge artichokes and sautéed fresh garlicky spinach, all entrees had fresh local veg and inventive sauces. Nothing was overdone, over-sauced, or too much. It was all delicious, including the pear sorbet(!!!) and chocolate desserts. BRAVO!!! We will definitely return. (Bring your own wine, or choose from a limited but adequate selection of bottles and half bottles.)

    My wife and I have eaten there about 10 times. Always a very good meal. Service is always superior. Cost including tip were about $115 – – no drinks. No dessert.

    Food and our server Joe were exceptional. Blue point oysters were delicious. we had 2 specials of 38 oz Steak and egg tagliatelle pasta with half a lobster tail with huge claw, clams and shrimp. Atmosphere and people are amazingly nice. Expresso was great after our food experience. Pistachio cheesecake to go. See you there soon.

    Steve waited on us. He was wonderful and attentive. Food is above par. I can’t wait to eat my leftovers?? Great atmosphere. I recommend this place. They have an average, small wine selection. So if you like better wine and just plain old booze- you need to BYOB Definitely worth your trip.

    Would have given 5 stars but I feel they may have stretched their staff too thin. Our waitress was tasked w working a party in an adjoining room as well as working the dining room floor. She was visibly sweating and over worked. Food was great with the exception of the crab cake that seemed over cooked and the amount of time it took us to get our food from the kitchen.

    The food is always good at Il Villagio. The service is exceptional. The wait staff do not hover but are there when you need them. And they don’t rush you out! It’s always an enjoyable experience.

    Actually we had a cousins get together and met for dinner. Dining on the patio was relaxing with a nice ambiance. Our server was attentive. Most importantly the food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed what we ordered. I was so pleased that I purchased a gift card for a friend’s upcoming birthday celebration! I’m sure she’ll enjoy!

    I ordered a pork chop and the first bite was very good but it became very salty. Our waitress didn’t come check on us until the very end. We were seated pretty close to other tables as well. We loved it the first time but we won’t be going back after last night. Disappointing experience.

    Food was good would have liked a few more Italian selections ,my wife had the veal with Demi it was a little better then average could have used a little help but overall not bad .I had the spicy shrimp and clam dish again not horrible but did not blow me away the spice overwhelmed the whole dish and all other flavors where lost .had the cheese course to start nice could use more bread with it maybe another kind and possibly a little more fruit but nice for desert we had the mango sorbet,the cheese cake special ,and the turtufo.all where good to great .overall nice time

    On a recommendation from a friend, I tried the Pork Chop dinner. The sauce was very tasty but the pork chop was overdone and the inside was dry and like cardboard. The sauce help offset that shortcoming. The Broccoli-Rabe had a good flavor but parts of it was too chewy. Sorry, the dinner did not meet expectations. Jack

    I realize that it was a holiday and there needs to a level of patience, but this was the worst service I have ever had. The server was clearly overwhelmed beyond his ability to recover our poor experience. It was our first time dining at the restaurant and we had anticipated it being an amazing experience. I don't think will return.

    Went for Father’s Day dinner - they used their regular menu, which was a plus and they also had specials for the day. Our waiter was pleasant and efficient, however needs to learn that it’s not appropriate to reach across in front of someone when clearing plates, when serving, etc. At first felt rushed since soup and salads were served and than right behind was the shrimp cocktail instead of giving time to eat soup first. Shrimp bisque with crabmeat was delicious, except there isn’t a single piece of shrimp in it only some crabmeat. Entrees were very good - veal chop parmigiana is huge! The penne ala vodka was not as creamy as expected and more to the red side for the sauce than blush. The special of lightly breaded tilefish over sautéed spinach was perfect. Desserts were wonderful - the special mixed berry light cheesecake was very good and so was the mango sorbet. Restaurant was very busy, seated right at reservation time and felt safety protocols were being used to ensure diners safety. Would definitely return.
