Very Poor experience! Table for two seated in middle of dining room. Then restaurant proceeded to seat large groups all around us even though restaurant was only about 25% full. Got very noisy such that we couldn't have a conversation. Large groups kept getting up and bumping into us as the tables are way too close together. Food was okay, but frankly have had better Italian at Olive Garden. The menu is creative and has potential. For exampke, the fusili has great potential but was very poorly executed. The mozzarella was in large clumps that the basil attached to, the clumps were not even across the pasta. There were way too few burst tomatoes. In total there was probably 6 good bites out of the whole dish. Again, the dish has a lot of potential but I am sure I can fix it better at home.
Jeremy was great and we had a good meal and a nice time
Best pizza in town. Very thin crust and excellent fresh toppings.
We LOVE dinng here. We come for special occasions. This time be brought our 4 year old and it was awesome. Food was good. Our favorite Brussels sprouts were spicier than we remember and they brought a special plate of them just for her. Pizza here is always a winner. Off season specials are really nice!
What a great spot! Every dish was really exceptional, fresh and inspired to make it special.
It is Italian with delighful choices, not just the typical Italian dishes. The presentation was lovely. The atmosphere is cozy, warm contemporary but not modern stark. The wait staff was very engaged.
Had noted within my reservation that it was my mothers birthday, nothing was ever mentioned.
Some people with loud young children came in after us, the waitstaff took their order after ours, but hustled their food out so children didn't disrupt or annoy other diners - outstanding effort by waitstaff.
My pasta with ragu was excellent, and we travel to Italy 2-3 times per year. Very good server.
We loved the food and the people, cocktails were amazing!
Most of the wine was overpriced and expensive, but we ordered a nice red listed at a fair price. Of course, they came back and said they did NOT have that reasonable bottle. So, we ordered Chianti by the glass which was dreadful.
The bread was also cold and mediocre.
But the food was surprisingly good. We shared the meatball appetizer, a bit too spicy, but not bad. And we ordered the spaghetti bolognese which was a decent sized portion and very good and we ordered the linguine and clam sauce which was a tiny portion of pasta, but very good.
The bill, $100, was a lot for two bowls of pasta and horrible wine. But, the pasta was good.
The service was spectacular. From the hostess who repeatedly updated us while waiting at the bar for our table, to the bartenders who recommended some drinks and made them perfectly, to the waitress who took care of us at dinner. We have been before but his night the staff knocked it out of he park. Food was excellent too! We go to Jackson Hole every fall and have put the Osteria on our restaurant must do list whenever we come! The Boll’s from Texas.
Best Italian food west of the Hudson River
Delicious food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. The food is prepared perfectly.
Waited for very long time for first course and even longer for main. Staff apologized saying they had a party of 24 in private room and we’d get our meals after that room was served. The wait was ridiculous. Obviously, the kitchen couldn’t meet the needs on the restaurant. It was insulting to be told we were not as important as those in the private room.
The food was wonderful, ingredients fresh and so delicious.. Excellent wine list. Great service. Can't wait to return next year
Osteria has been on a downhill ride over the past few years. Now it is mediocre. We were welcomed with very stale bread; not a good omen. Pasta bolognese was heavy heavy — much too much cream — not true bolognese. Ambience is for the ski set, even in September. This was our last visit there.
Sorry to say this place is seriously overrated. The food is average at best. We’ve been many times over the last few years and we just feel it’s not worth the money. Last experience this week sealed the deal with an inattentive waitress who was fawning over everyone around us and we received mediocre service at best.
Enjoyed our meal, which was highlighted by excellent service. The food came hot and well timed between courses.
Quiet dining which was nice. Calamari not very good. More breading and not much calamari. Sauce for calamari was very bland. My husband got the rack of lamb...2 ribs...is that really a rack? Lasagna was way too cheesy.
Appetizers: Bhuratta was a soupy mess. Calamari was tasteless and no bigger than the tons of tiny, dime sized crumbs of batter it was served with. The dipping sauce was tasteless. Kale salad was monotonous.
Entrees: Fusilli was bland and tasteless. Ravioli was tasteless and soupy. Chicken was very average.
I've eaten here several times during the past few years and always had a very enjoyable dining experience. I don't know if this is a new chef, but regardless, all three appetizers and three meals were so bad, it will be a time before I go back to try them again.
I had a great dining experience here! The staff were so helpful and friendly. I liked that my waitress had great suggestions on what to order. The food was delicious here and I enjoyed the casual, warm atmosphere. This seemed to be a good choice whether dining single or in a group. Try the spring green salad with sweet orange or the black garlic pasta. Being in the Tetons, I imagine this makes for a steeper price tag most places, but the quality of the food and service to price ratio is decent, and I’d highly recommend it for a casual night out with friends or family.
Bolognese is outstanding! Great wine list. We will definitely return on our next visit to Wyoming.
Fantastic find in a resort location where many times just mediocre food is found.
Really awesome! Pretty crowded but food was excellent!
Ravioli was delicious. Fusilli pasta was boring. Try the ice cream sandwiches for dessert.
Burrata salad was not good nor was the pasta bolignase
Excellent spinach ravioli and tirimisu cheesecake dessert. Wine list is good
The worst pasta I’ve ever had. Tons of salt and garlic on fusili. Lasagna noodles were very mushy and sauce must have come out of a can. ...awful. Waitress put in wrong order then charged us for our meal plus the wrong order. Then never returned. Went to desk and manager did come over and remove entrees from bill which was very nice.
Unfortunately a member in our party bit into several shards of glass. This could pose a serious health threat to a guest, especially if it had been a child. I do appreciate the apology and phone call from the manager after the situation.
We found this when visiting last year when dining with friends. We came back this year before a concert and then again today for lunch. Great pasta, salads and wood fired pizzas. It is delicious!
Osteria has the potential - based upon the location and cuisine - to be an excellent restaurant. It's menu is getting better this year, the quality of the food is improving but the service and overpricing of dishes is a major problem. Wines by the glass +/- $15 for a 4/5 ounce moderate wine is a bit much even for Teton Village. Pizzas and pastas are typically in the mid $20s. Wait service in the Jackson area is always spotty but for a restaurant at this price level , Osteria's service is at best fair to poor.
Pizzas ordered came out like warm and pasta dishes were OK. Pricing is 5* --restaurant is 2 * . Four Seasons nearby (Westbank Grill and Handle Bar) is a actually much better value but restaurants on the West Bank seem to share generally poor service and over pricing.
Pizza was good but not hot. Did not want to wait and send it back.
Arugala salad quite good.
Waitress very pleasant and nice and attentive.
Great quiet restaurant in Hotel Terra. Nice outdoor seating that is quiet. Excellent food and service.
Wonderful food, great service. Pizza thin and great crust. Meatballs and octopus are a must. Chicken and swordfish delicious. First choice in the village. Terrific for kids.
Exceptional server! Great food and drink. A favorite for our family.
THe Brussels spouts side was delicious!!! But the pizza was disappointing and below average for flavor, texture and crust quality.
It pains me to give 2 stars to Il Villagio as we have had many good meals there over the years. However the last visit had us waiting over 45 minutes for 2 pizzas-the margherita had been sitting and was brought out lukewarm and unappetizing. The scampi pizza was only serviceable as we had been waiting so long to eat it. Management did take pizzas off the bill but unfortunately we won’t be anxious to return.
Calamari app was mostly breaded and small pieces. Pork chop was dry. Coat was high for the food quality.
Good food selection. They need to work on noise reduction. Was very hard to carry on a conversation.
