Il Villaggio Osteria
We love Osteria - have lived here for 7 years and been a lot and have seen it thru a number of phases. The food two nights ago was dreadful. Lasagna that was nothing but cheese (a giant wad) with a few noodles and no beef - yuck. The cippino was serves lukewarm with completely uncooked scallops and other seafood. I sent it back and after quite some time - it returned so hot I couldn't eat it for another 15 minutes!! This all happened after waiting about 45 minutes for our entree.
There were plenty of people in the restaurant. I don't understand what was clearly a lack of staff in the kitchen. Common- Osteria -- get it together!!
Wow, what a treat in the Teton Village. A quaint and classy space at the base of Rendezvous mountain with a delicate Italian style menu with some really great options. We celebrated our 11 year anniversary here and had the burrata appetizer, pasta Carbonara, Cinque Fromaggi pizza, affogatto, and chocolate caramel pot de creme. Everything was delightful and the server and support staff made our experience one to remember. They also successfully completed the reservation special request made upon booking a reservation. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
Wonderful meal Frisée salad was perfect
Clam linguine very enjoyable
Food was fabulous.
Jeff the waiter was great. Food was tasty and a fun vibe for my birthday!
Worst dining experience in JH.
Plus: Beautiful ,charming restaurant with attentive servers.
Negatives: However, food was at best, mediocre. Osso Bucco was extremely dry and tough, making me believe it was recooked in a microwave from previous preparation. Took only a few bites and should have sent it back. Hesitant to be a nuisance customer, I now wish that I had notified the server that it was inedible.
Partner's "rib" steak was just fair. It was tough and by the texture of the meat, probably not a rib steak but a NY strip.
This restaurants flagship sister, Rendezvous Bistro is consistently top notch and one of our favorites.
Just wish management could transfer some of their chefs to this restaurant.
Our server and meal were excellent but the noise level was high plus our meal felt rushed.
Overall the Food was average as appetizers were outstanding but pasta was bland. Our waitress provided good advice but drink service was very poor.
Food and service were good. Requested red sauce instead of the creme sauce with the calamari. When the bill came we saw they charged us for the red sauce. They lost a customer with that move.
The food and service is always amazing and the outdoor patio heavenly. Thank you Mel and Jay!
The raviolis with browned butter were excellent. The risotto was good but go with the ravioli. You can get half portions so you can have pizza also. Our waiter was a bit snarky to start with but overall was ok.
Horrible experience. Never sent food back before and sent my appetizer and main dish. Worst meal ever. Will never go back.
Wonderful food! We ate on the outside patio and in the middle of our dinner a momma Elk and her baby came merandering by us in both directions nibbiling on the beautiful landscaping. AWESOME!!!!
Food is very so-so. Pizzas were nt very good. Osso buco seemed to have been made a few days ago and meat over cooked. The only good thing was the salad.
Diavolo pizza was nearly inedible. We were hungry so we ate without complaint. The pizza was delivered to our table soggy and cool. The cheese was minima and the Italian sausage was cut up sausage links. Bad pizza.
Our salads were likewise not that great. Arugula salad had an over abundance of raw red onions. That was the main flavor. My wife’s butter lettuce salad had a not so tasty dressing and the anchovies were not fried.
Maybe chalk it up to a Monday night?
Excellent food and service in a casual environment that doesn't quite live up to the pricey experience. The restaurant is hard to find if you're not familiar with Teton Village. Like many ski area base villages, it is a maze of hotels, condos, restaurants and parks, so call ahead and ask for directions.
Casey, our server, was phenomenal! High energy and, when we asked for something that had previously been on the menu, she went out of her way to accommodate us. Great evening all around
Overpriced meals, average snap pea salad, mediocre bolognese entre, very poor thin crust margharita pizza for $20, overpriced chianti wine by the glass$14, not a good experience and will never go back. This was our second poor experience with this restaurant.
They were very busy. Took awhile to get service. I gots huge bowl of pasta with 3 pieces of squash in it. No asparagus, and a lemony sauce. Not anger or any seasoning. Really not much going on. And $26. My husband got ravioli which were fine. Truly nothing special. This is our third visit. Pizza only for us.
We loved the outside table, the food was delicious, and every employee that we met was kind. Wonderful prelude to a concert!
This is one of our favorite spots. Consistently good. On Friday night, however, they were out of a number of things on the menu....and we were there at 6 pm! Disappointing.
Beautiful restaurant and good service. Food was pretty good-not dessert. The ridiculous music (ranged from Beach Boys to Tears for Fears, And included commercials) was so loud it was entirely off putting. Other guests around us also commented on the volume and the seemingly inexplicable choice in genres. Overall odd experience
too loud - ambiance not comparable to price - food and service excellent
The food and service were outstanding! The Brussels sprouts are a must and the trumpetee pasta was amazing. Great evening!
The appetizers were fine but the olives were incredibly, incredibly salty. That was disappointing as you get a lot. The service was really nice but the restaurant is small and very noisy.
My patsa dish and arugula salad was delicious and we loved the ambiance and vibe!
First off we didn’t do pasta or pizza. COD was well cooked but just quite bland. Octopus was ok.
Great food & atmosphere. Would definitely go back.
Fun place, great pasta! Tuna tartare was bland... , fish was dry but swimming in oil/ butter... stick with the pasta!
Ok Italian place. Pizza was good and wood fired. Pasta was house made and ok but a bit flavorless. Service was good but a bit weird... gave us desert menus with our entries... a bit strange. Decent family style Italian place.
We had company in town and decided to go to Osteria. Bad choice. Waiter was fair. The food was less than impressive. Food runner took food that should have gone to another table to us. Hence, we all received our food at varying times making the experience very unpleasant. The carbonera was dry and cold. They forgot to put in my pork chop dish which came much later, and unsalted. I returned the dish. Dinner manager was sincerely apologetic. Not her fault she didn’t prepare the meal. We definitely won’t be coming back.
delicious meal! we could have ordered so many items on this menu! all was delicious and our kids wanted to come a second time! great for any age!
I have been to your restaurant one other time, exactly one year ago. I recall the food being better quality during that initial visit. The food this time was rather spotty in quality. I had to send one plate back because the prosciutto jam was so gummy I could hardly get it off the plate with a knife and onto the bread. The arugula salad was rather bland and did not meet my expectations. The pasta was under cooked. One of the appetizers, one of the salads, both cocktails and the desserts were excellent. For my money, the value was poor to average. Finally, the noise level is really excessive. It’s difficult to maintain a normal conversation, it was so loud in the restaurant.
The food, service and ambience were all amazing. Don’t miss it!
Everything about the evening was great with the exception of the Ragu Bolognese. It was served with a broad noodle which unfortunately was overcooked. Hard to imagine but it almost tasted like it was pre-prepared because it wasn’t very hot in temperature. Another pasta dish the Rigatoni with vegetables was excellent.
A small mishap but I feel the kitchen should know.
Food was terrible and made us sick
We were seated outside. It was a lovely evening. Our server was very kind. And the food was delicious
OK, except waiter brought glass of red wine that had a couple of drops on the outside. He sat it down on wrought iron table without a napkin beneath it. A drop or two of the wine seeped through one of the many holes in the table and stained my wife’s white pants. Hope the stain comes out at the dry cleaner!
Good food, good service.
