Brought friends to try IL for the first time. Unfortunately, the experience for them fell a little short. Staffing seemed off and we waited quite a while for our order to be taken. The service was a little slow. While our meals were very good, our guests were not happy with theirs. Their veal chop was undercooked and our guest refused to send it back to the kitchen. We enjoy this restaurant and will continue to go back while our friends will not. That won't stop us from recommending or bringing other friends to this restaurant.

The server was very friendly and nice but I didn’t like how I was received upfront. The pasta taste so good but the sauté shrimp didn’t taste good at all.

Filet Mignon was a little overcook when I specifically asked for "med-well" but it looks like the chef did well-done. A little burnt on the top but no complaint since it is like a butter when slicing. Next time, please understand that there is difference between med-well and well-done.

The food continues to be outstanding! This is a miracle because most restaurants cannot maintain this level of quality. It's been a tradition for a few years to have a business lunch with the group I was with yesterday. The only issue yesterday was that we had a waiter that we had never had before, and he had sort of an attitude. But our old waiter swiftly took his place and made us feel at home, so we left on a very happy note. I recommend il Villagio to anyone looking for a great meal!

Food and presentation was excellent. We were not rushed. Waiters were professional and friendly. Asking if all was ok and if we needed anything else. Alway prepared to bring grated cheese and freshly ground pepper to our table. Dessert was delicious and had a lovely variety of choices. We will be back !

A great evening out. Food and service impeccable. Old world charm where patrons show up dressed appropriately. Staff in tuxedos, serving up an elegant dining experience. So worth the 45 minute drive for us. We look forward to returning.

Honestly amazing experience. Came in for a mid day lunch and we were the only folks there. Very attentive staff. Perfectly crafted cocktails. Ate everything off special and one dish after another blew our minds. Just the most perfectly cooked dishes. Was a wonderful experience all the way around.

A wonderful evening for two, celebrating a birthday. The service was professional and competent. Water and wine glasses were replenished frequently. A beautiful antipasto plate and crusty bread presented before our appetizers, was a delight. The food was exceptional in presentation, quality and taste. The savory flavor of the grilled octopus was delicious, as was the Caesar salad. My scallops and shrimp entree was prepared in a fresh, fra diavolo marinara that had a bright and spicy tomato flavor. The Chilean sea bass over escarole was one of the best I have ever tasted. Coffee and dessert rounded out a perfect dining experience. Thank you IV for a spectacular evening.

Il Villagio never disappoints. It is an upscale Italian restaurant that offers something for everyone whether a refined pallet or a simple pasta dish. The specials are amazing and the wait staff is always so knowledgeable and attentive. Unlike many other restaurants post Covid, you are not rushed out the door.

We went to Il Villagio before the Ed Sheeran concert at Met Life because it was really close and it had great reviews. We are so happy that we decided to try it. The food was fabulous and we will definitely return. My husband had the seafood salad app and said it was one of the best he ever had. All the fish was really fresh and we all enjoyed our meals. Highly recommend!

Visited again on our wedding anniversary May17, 2023 Our waiter “Seth” is an absolute professional and wonderful to have. Ordered the shrimp cocktail and crabmeat appetizers with were above board. The veal stuffed with mozzarella and prosciutto was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. My wife had the Chilean sea bass which was amazing! I’ll definitely be returning again and again!

When a restaurant stands out from the crowd, it is only fitting that they be recognized for excellence. Il Villaggio is that restaurant. From start to finish our servers, especially Sabastian, were courteous, professional and truly interested in making our dining experience a positive one. The food, from the mini antipasto and crusty bread, straight through the appetizers and entrees', was on point. Each course came plated beautifully, well seasoned and cooked to our request. Water and wine glasses were tended to, the service was seamless and the evening was so pleasurable. While we do not live close by, we plan to make Il Villaggio a must visit at least once a month, for it is well worth the 45 minute trek.
