   The food and service is usually excellent, not this time. The server was busy with a large party and not very attentive. Did not get drinks until 20 minutes after they were ordered. We were almost done with our appetizer before we received our drinks. The calamari was very greasy and just consisted of very small rings the seafood salad was excellent. Will return but this visit was not up to their usual standards.

   We have been to this restaurant before. Our server was great, the food was good, however, the manager made the experience unpleasant. She kept staring at us, went to every single table to ask how they were doing, she walked past our table twice (put her head down and looked at her phone both times), but didn't even acknowledge us. Perhaps it's because we were the only interracial couple in the restaurant. We’ve dined at Michelin stars restaurants in NYC and don't have to deal with obnoxious managers like this one. We were incredibly disappointed. The server was excellent, courteous, professional, and friendly, and made our night better.

   The food was incredible and our server, Bill, was top notch. Bill knew the menu and was able to make great recommendations. Our food arrived promptly and correctly. Service at the start of our meal was exceptional. Then the dinner rush came. At around 6:30 service went from exceptional to stretched too thin. The noise level went from uncomfortable to unbearable. What was a crowded restaurant before, became a sardine can. The ambiance of Il Verdi is what ruined our experience. The cloud of cigarette smoke was everywhere in the Tropicana and although Il Verdi is a non-smoking area, the smell was everywhere. There were too many people packed too close together. The people stank of booze and smoke and were close enough to make this a problem. The people dining came in wearing shorts and flip flops and were visibly intoxicated. My wife and I had to suffer through as the people at the table to the left of us shouted their conversation to the people at the table to the right of us. We desperately tried to get out of there, but suddenly the staff was overwhelmed and Bill was nowhere to be seen. I want to restate that the food was first rate and worthy of a five star rating. Also, our server would have been well suited for a much, much nicer establishment. However, we will not be going back to Il Verdi.

   Was very pleased with my recent experience. William was knowledgeable and friendly. I was especially pleased with the gluten free rolls. They were delicious and an unexpected treat. I am looking forward to their new location with the expanded menu.

    Only one waiter service was slow. If you only one person waiter not very attentive - spoke to all other tables where more than one person seated. Very awkward feeling.

    Very dissappointed.. Service was poor...felt neglected.. Server only was attentive to certain parties. Waited 20 minutes for a glass of sangria.. Salad was drenched with dressing. Don't think we'll be going back.

    We dined here our first time for our Anniversary! The waiter Brian, was so nice and attentive to us! The food was amazing! The ambience was attractive! We got the Arugula, Blue Cheese, Prosciutto, spicy walnut salad, chicken francaise and flounder francaise. We will be dining here again!

    First time at IL Verdi. Food was excellent. I had the flounder franchise w the lump crap meat and my wife the filet mignon. Excellent! Mark , our server and the other staff were all very nice . Looking forward to the new opening in JUNE

    Although some may think ll Verdi is pricey it is worth every penny! From the beautiful atmosphere, efficient and friendly staff and the amazing food it’s worth every penny. My husband eats only the steak and always raves how they are so tender they cut like butter. I have tried several different dishes and all have been incredible. ll Verdi is always our favorite.

    We took our friends here for the first time and we knew they would be impressed. The calamari was so tender that we cleaned the plate. We all had something different and all brought home doggie bags. You will not leave here hungry. Kudos to the chef. But the wait staff is absolutely wonderful and so attentive to our whole experience. Please try this Italian restaurant just once and guarantee you will be back.

    Food was delicious. Ordered the rigatoni bolognese and linguini with clams. Both were amazing. Way too full for dessert since we couldn't pass up the bread with garlic and olive oil. Wish I could have packed that to go.

    My favorite restaurant in Atlantic City. A gem for innovative food, excellent service and lovely ambiance. I just hope that the move to a bigger space will not change any of the great qualities that the present place has!

    Giving them 1 start since we made a reservation for a Saturday Night at 5PM. Drove an hour and 20 minutes to get there to find out the restaurant is closed for renovations. WHY ARE THEY STILL TAKING RESERVATIONS if they are CLOSED!?!?!? Since it was 5PM on a Sturdy night we weren't able to get a seat at any other nice restaurant and ended up eating burgers at a bar. Oh, did I mention this was supposed to be a nice night out celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary! Thanks for ruining the night Il Verde!
