Dinner: Monday - Sunday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
One of the best Italian restaurants in nyc. Food, service, ambiance... awesome!
Always a wonderful time at Il Tinello.
Authentic iris loan cuisine with exceptional staff! Delicious food and amazing service! Will return!
Food was great. Service was good except we waited thirty minutes after our reservation time before we were seated.
The restaurant was crazy busy with a tiny lobby. Everyone was packed into the tiny lobby like sardines. We were Rushed through dinner. They even brought the bill before we asked for it. Not very special.
Christmas annual luncheon
Amongst my favorites in the city. Food and service are always excellent!
the best restaurant in NYC! Our favorite for 20 years!
We dine at Il Tinello every time we’re in Manhattan. The food is delicious and the service is superb.
Wonderful experience - food was excellent and service was very attentive. Classic dining ambiance, but not over the top. We took our time and never felt hurried. Great staff too.
Pasta was good but not great. Didn’t standout as definitely house-made.
Service is very attentive to get you anything and everything you’d want, but they are definitely trying to flip the table as quickly as possible.
Service was friendly to my young kids. Made everyone feel welcome. Water was always refilled quickly. Dishes cleared for a clean table. Dessert was pretty good. But they definitely were not going to ask if we wanted a 2nd bottle of wine. We were in and out in about an hour.
It’s a good restaurant for a faster paced dinner before going to a show. I would not recommend it for a dinner that is intended to be your main event of the evening.
This is a must stop here to eat when we come to NY.
Consistently excellent in food and service. I’d like to help them with their Christmas decor - but still very festive.
GREAT food and outstanding service, plus a charming and funny Maitre D’ — what’s not to like?!
Omg truffles are in season and freshly shaved over the most delicate pasta. A truly heavenly experience
Just a wonderful place. Service, decor and food is awesome. Great bar too.
Great service and food. Had appetizers, with dinner entrees of scallops and saltinbocca.
Hot zambioni for dessert was fantastic.
Only negative is a high priced wine list.
Our family of four had an incredible meal here. This is truly authentic Italian Cuisine, with attentive service and an old time NY Italian ambiance. You will pay for all of this, however. My daughter's meal ( she is 10) was a homemade Rigatoni with capers, tomatoes and basil. It was a smaller portion and the coat was $46. What? Each drink we had was $25. Yep- This is definitely a special occasion spot unless these prices are no biggie! I would highly recommend if it's affordable for you, as the food was truly out of this world delicious!
The charming old world feel and look of Il Tinello were the first things to impress along with the courteousness of the owners and wait staff, especially our waiter, Winston. The food and drink were wonderful and served with precision and timeliness. I would have enjoyed a creamier sauce on my mushroom ravioli and missed the flavoring of the Vodka it was supposed to be kissed by...but it was still tasty. The best discovery for my husband was the handmade Tiramisu which differentiated it from any he has tasted in Italy or here. Bravo! We opt for Italian cuisine most of the time and have enjoyed many great restaurants in NY over the years, but this one also stole our hearts, so we will return.
This was selected blind, due to its proximity to Radio City Music Hall, and availability for 10 of us at a reasonable time (7pm) after the show. We were all thoroughly delighted with the welcome, the service by every single server, and all of our food and beverages! Our group ranged from grandma from Indiana, to sister and her husband who live in Manhattan, to two 12 year olds, and a few others in between. No complaints, and we would all return no question!!
It was wonderful. From the food to the service everything was great
Il Tinello has long been one of our NYC favorites. Best in class food, wine and a group of service personnel that are kind and take care of everything.
Food and service was first rate
Excellent experience and great food. Bread was average at best but all other food sampled was outstanding.
Memorable service and comfortable décor made for a great night out. Simply great old school Italian food full of flavor and freshness. We have dined in past years at this restaurant and it was another wonderful experience again this time. Already planning our next reservation.
This was our first meal at Il Tinello, and it alone is worth the 3 hour train ride to NYC. From the moment we were greeted upon arrival, we received superb service from all. The first, and last, person we saw was the friendly attendant at the coat check. The tuxedoed wait staff was uniformly polite and formal, but not stuffy or distant, available but not cloying. The team works incredibly well together, and clearly takes great pride in meeting every need of their customers. The restaurant is exquisite;
very comfortable, with ideal lighting, spacing, and access.
And the food....an imaginative menu, so enticing that decisions were difficult. One may have a personally chosen antipasto. We had clams casino and a tuna tartare admixed with avocado , both of which were superb. Caesar salad mixed perfectly at the tableside was both bold and delicate.
Main courses were salmon with asparagus and white wine ( rare, as ordered), and lobster Fra Diavolo. Each was as beautiful and delicious as one could hope for. And finally- this may be the place to have dessert first. One chooses from a variety of offerings, including fresh fruits, cakes, luscious cream puffs, tiramisu, cannolis..all arranged in a magnificent display by "Mr. Sweet", a most engaging young man who clearly loves his work and does it well. An extensive wine list is available.
The pacing of our meal was perfect. We left having shared a wonderful experience that was unique and for which we were most grateful.
Incredibly delicious food and great service.
Top notch service!
We had a wonderful meal. Spicy Lobster over fettuccini was awesome. The staff are accommodating with any request. We were quite satisfied.
Been there a few times. I love it. Classic Italian food. Service is impeccable. Great place!
Classical food , great service , been many times , will return
Food was outstanding, the wine list is one of a kind and if I could have given the service 6 stars I would have!
Gear little Italian restaurant close to Central Park. Would recommend to everyone.
Always a guaranteed wonderful meal. Excellent ceaser salad. Great service.
Food and service were wonderful. A bit more expensive than we expected.
Waited 45 mins for our table with a reservation but they were gracious and the food was good.
Great service! Food came quickly and was more than I expected.
Food somewhat bland.
Outstanding food and service
Food was good, and the service was exceptional. Ambiance was very Midtown-Central Manhattanish - elegant but older-feeling. Prices were pretty high for Italian food that was good but not outstanding, but I think that was justified by the outstanding service (lots of attention from the staff, and when they accidentally threw out a dish we asked to have wrapped up, they made us a new one on the house. Also complimentary olives and cheese with our wine while we waited for our table).
