We had dinner with my parents who were in town visiting our new baby. We asked that we have a table with some space for the stroller. They seated upstairs and it was perfect. All the other tables had small children so we all joked together that we were in the kids section. Our server was a little overwhelmed since he was the only one working on that floor (with a food runner). Our entrees came out before our appetizer so we sent them back. We were given the wrong check when paying. Regardless of those two things we had a lovely time. I love this restaurant and will continue to be a patron. The only other thing I didn’t expect was my dads entree was the create your own pasta bowl. He ordered linguine with puttanesca and it’s served where the sauce and pasta are separate. Not what we were expecting but again not a deal breaker.
This is great place to eat. The food and service were great. Reservation is a good idea. It is popular.
Always good service, and the staff have been there for years. We like the bruschetta and do-your-own pasta best.
Recently went on a trip with our group of 6 traveling to DC. The food was excellent! Best Italian food I’ve ever eaten. We are all very pleased with our meals! Everyone’s favorite dinner of our trip.
One of the best Italian meals I have ever had! The moment you enter this restaurant, you notice how packed it is...for good reason!
Food and drinks came out quickly. The prosciutto wrapped scallops were so good...as was the gnocchi! The wine was also delicious...and brought me back to Tuscany.
Great food. My son loved the pizza. The pasta is presented in a unique manner with the toppings served individually. Would go back.
This has been a fabulous local restaurant for many years, The Italian menu is out of this world and the staff are highly professional and pleasant. The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented .I had the scallops which were wrapped in prosciutto, served with grilled mushrooms and arugula. I had grilled asparagus with Parmesan sprinkled over it. This girl from New England thought the scallops were cooked exquisitely!!!
We all had the spaghetti where we tried a few different sauces. I had the Radicchio sauce and it was one of the best sauce I've ever had. Others in our group tried other sauces and they were happy with their selection.
It is our favorite, local restaurant. The food, and service, is always good. We particularly enjoy their classic pizza, salads (enough served for two) and their soups. Salmon, roast chicken and pasta dishes are very good, too.
It is always a wonderful meal no matter what is ordered.
Great local joint with terrific food.
A wonderful little neighborhood place. It’s in a old building in a rapidly developing area...always afraid it will be knocked down to build yet another high rise. Love this place!
This place is the best kept secret of Arlington! Everything on the menu is amazing and it’s a great value. The eggplant Parmesan is delicious! It’s perfect for everyday dining or a special occasion.
Excellent food and cozy atmosphere
Great food, friendly and attentive staff, a real neighborhood gem!
Three friends got together after not seeing each other for several months. We sat upstairs which was nice, and the food as always was very good.
Love Il Radicchio - it’s like being at your grandmothers house for a great Italian dinner! Or just pizza. Or all-you-can-eat spaghetti!
The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but tghe food was very tasty!
We hadn't been here in years, my memory was that it was just ok but what a pleasant surprise! the service was outstanding to begin with. It's such a cute, cozy place and the food was very good. I had a caprese salad and the eggplant parmigiana. The wine selection, although not extensive, was very good. And we split the tiramisu - delish! the only thing I would skip is the bread. Not worth the calories, pretty tasteless. But all in all, a really great place and we'll definitely return!
Good value; home style Italian food; good bruschetta; lots of pasta choices; overall nice little neighborhood italian
Food was excellent as was service! Entrees were reasonably priced and incredibly tasty. 4 people, split a moderately priced bottle of wine, yet we were surprised by our tab so will definitely go back but share more next time. Portions were large enough for leftovers to take home.
I have lived near this restaurant for many years and finally tried it. I got penne with chicken, spinach and tomato; my brother ordered the four cheese ravioli. Both dishes were very good. We liked the sauces. The wine was reasonably priced. I ordered a sundae-like dessert (I don't remember exactly what it was called) and it was ok. I would probably not order dessert next time I go, but I would definitely go back for the pasta. I'd like to try the pizza as well.
Early dinner on a Sunday night. Quiet but still cheery. Excellent food. Salmon on radicchio salad fantastic. Pastas great. Pizza aok but other dishes better. Very friendly staff - attentive but not intrusive. Parking lot and easy street parking. Will go back.
Four hometown friends enjoyed a pasta dinner with red wine and even split a dessert. Fantastic food and my go to Italian restaurant in Arlington
Authentic, delicious Italian food in a cozy family-oriented restaurant. Excellent and friendly service. Good wine list. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely visit frequently if I lived in the Arlington/DC area.
We shared a chicken penne pasta and a pizza and they were very plain, bland and generic. You could go to a fast food italian place and save some money. The salad was good, the wine was bad, the lemon custard tart was good, but I suspect not made there. I might try take out sometime if I get an italian craving. There isn't much over here.
This is the kind of great but unpretentious Italian food you can find in NYC or Philadelphia but far too rarely in the DC area. Fresh ingredients prepared well. Wine list is not extensive, but well matched with the dishes. Friendly service in a cosy setting.
The lobster ravioli was delicious and fresh. Everything was wonderful, exactly what I’d expect from an Italian restaurant!
A neighborhood gem.....great food and service. Choice of pasta with choice of sauce is my favorite....all you can eat! Richie, the owner, is very personable & visits the tables to answer questions and listen to feedback.
Il Radicchio is a wonderful local trattoria in a cozy house-like structure. The meatball appetizer is a wonderful find and the rotisserie chicken is very well done. The star of the menu, though, is the unlimited pasta with delicious homemade sauces -- the rosa and sausage and leek are both outstanding. Coupled with a simple, yet efficient wine lists (the house reds for $30 a full carafe are the way to go) and you have a wonderful, reasonably priced date night.
Love love LOVE! The servers are amazing and I cannot say enough good things about the food!
We really enjoyed our dinner. Intimate atmosphere.
Finally, my boyfriend and I have discovered fantastic Italian food in Arlington! We came here for his birthday and the staff really made it special for him. The food was absolutely delicious - we got bruschetta, pasta, salads, and the prosciutto wrapped scallops of course. The only thing we were even *slightly* disappointed with were the scallops, because you only receive 2. However they were very large! For the first time ever at a restaurant, so much seafood was included in the linguine di mare that I couldn't finish all the pasta. And in love pasta!!
Overall 10/10 for Arlington, maybe 9/10 for all-time Italian food (we're from Philly). We will definitely be back and highly recommend it.
Marvelous as always! From the wine to the service to the delightful food, this is our favorite date night spot!
We had a big group and needed to fnd a restataunt witH parking close to DC. Pasta is a favorite so the mix and match menu looked good. Food cam out warm and plentiful, but not great. RATHER SMALLER PLATES AND BETTER SAUCES.
Loved this neighborhood gem! We will go back regularly.
Delicious lasagna! Recommend for anyone craving Italian comfort food in a casual setting. Buon appetito!
My wife and I spent time at I’ll Radicchio 15 yrs ago around the time of our wedding. To celebrate our anniversary we traveled from Alexandria to I’ll Radicchio. I ordered the Pomodoro sauce and spaghetti and my wife ordered the seafood dish with light butter garlic sauce. Sadly both dishes were very disappointing. However the service was good and the people were pleasant in the complementary desert was the best part of the experience.
Great staff, great food, great experience, nice cozy atmosphere!
