This place is a hidden gem!
My party of four enjoyed our dinners at Il Radicchio very much. Authentic Italian dishes prepared and served with care in a family atmosphere. I am disappointed, however, that at last check I had not been awarded my Open Table points.
Absolutely great all around. Great service, great food. And made my birthday a very special day!
Great food and friendly service. We were able to get a seat on a Sunday night. Great salads and we also enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs.
Really great prices for amazing food: a bottle of wine, appetizer, two entrees and two desserts was under $100 which is amazing for the area. The ambience is very neighborly and the service was perfect. Will definitely be taking this a new date night staple!
Quickly becoming my favorite little restaurant!! It's quiet. The food is wonderful. The service is excellent!
Very nice small neighborhood restaurant. Food was quite good, wine list is quite limited and the value is great. We will return.
Reminds me of beloved Italtian restaurants in Philadelphia. Enjoy!
they are always very good to my wife and I with seating and service--a joy to go to
We came here with family who was in DC from
Georgia for the weekend. Everything in DC was booked up and I knew Arlington had great restaurants. Italian was what everyone wanted. Manning the reservation on OpenTable was seamless.
This place was great. Great neighborhood family atmosphere. We got there about 6:30 for a 7pm reservation and were immediately seated upstairs. The menu was laid out well and there was a nice selection of normal Italian cuisine. I ordered Linguini de Mare. It was excellent. Everything everyone ordered was great, everyone was pleased. Service was great. When we left around 8 pm the downstairs seating area was packed. It was a great lively atmosphere and you could tell that just about everyone in there were neighborhood folks.
I do insist on a restaurant which is quiet, where one can converse, and this was good.
The food is always exceptionally good at El Radicchio. There was a bit too much oil on my radicchio salad, but the spinach was very fresh. I ordered the Trebiano wine and really liked it.
Love this neighborhood gem! The pasta was excellent. Get the make your own pasta! I ordered penne with both the Alfredo sauce and the pesto and both separately were good, but mixed together were amazing too. There’s actually a sauce that is both of them mixed together, but I personally like to have them separate just so I can measure as I please how much of each sauce I want on my pasta. The wine is relatively inexpensive, which was a nice surprise. We ordered the Rosé which was dry and went well with our meal. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I look forward to coming back!
Service a little slow but friendly.
Repeat customer and will continue to dine there.
The food is fantastic --great value for the price. However, the last two times I've gone to Il Radicchio they sent our group upstairs which is less desirable. We had made reservations in advance both times (saturday nights). We showed up and there was a table available on the main floor but they wouldn't give it to us because it was being held for another group who showed up well after us. This has happened twice and I'm not happy about it. Plus, there was a very loud group of 20 people sitting next to us. So loud another smaller group left. However, the food is great. Perhaps a mid-week visit would be a better experience.
I have eaten at Il Radicchio for years. They remember us even after being away for a while. The food is superb, all of it. And they have decent red wine, too.
Honestly, I am baffled by the high marks on this restaurant. We were placed upstairs, it was cold, loud and looked and felt like I was in someone’s empty attic. The food was okay, but I can make more delicious sauce at home. The waiters were nice but they forgot to bring our drinks until the food came, they offered a salad for the entire table of five and it was large enough for maybe two. I was NOT impressed. Well there’s an Arlington restaurant off my list.
We love the food here--especially the bruschetta on lovely grilled garlicky bread topped with chopped tomatoes and basil. The food is never greasy, but served at ideal temperature. The eggplant is great, the pastas are great, you might pass on the veal, but everything is well-prepared. Service is friendly.
Very nice and quaint place. It was a place to go to if you want to feel cozy with your family or significant other.
We were greeted immediately and seated. We are off of water and requesting our drinks upon being seated. Excellent service.
I had the artichoke ravioli. Very skimpy on the filling. The sauce and mushrooms were outstanding, almost over powering the Skippy ravioli.
The wife had make your own pasta and it was more than ample. She enjoyed it very much and that’s what I would get if I go back again.
Wish they would serve cocktails instead of just beer and wine.
This is our favorite place for Italian. It's the one place that everyone in the family loves without complaint. The food is wonderful, fresh and tasty every time. I'm the kind of person who usually settles into one thing that's my go-to at a restaurant, but everything I've tried at Il Radicchio is so good that I can't find just one favorite! As good as the food is, the people are even better. The waitstaff is warm and genuinely friendly. They're happy to recommendations if you ask, but they don't push you towards the most expensive items on the menu. We recently celebrated my son's birthday at Il Radicchio and the folks there made it truly wonderful.
Great Neighborhood Restaurant. Food and ambiance is always excellent.
This restaurant lived up to its reputation. My husband and I were in Rosslyn for a Christmas visit with family and had an evening to ourselves. Il Radiccio was walking distance from our AirBnb, so we decided to give it a try based on Open Table Reviews. We had a first floor corner table, nice and quiet. We ordered wine, salads, lasagne and chicken parmigiana, and shared the frozen lemon dessert (cannot remember the name), and both of us enjoyed it very much. We will definitely return the next time we are in Rosslyn.
Another wonderful dinner at Il Radiccio! This has become our favorite restaurant since moving back to the area from Europe a few months ago. The food and service are always excellent. Recommend sitting downstairs if they have availability- we sat upstairs and the service was still excellent but atmosphere wasn’t quite as fun as our normal table downstairs. Highly recommend this restaurant!
delicious food - consistently good - friendly service - excellent value!
Excellent! Very accommodating staff.
Amazing, definitely fresh and delicious! I got the pick your own pasta and the pesto Alfredo was beyond anything I’ve ever tasted! was a little disappointed in the bacon wrapped scallops it was 2 for $11 not great but everything else was beyond tasteful even there wine selection! will be back!
Always delicious and consistently good!!!!
Well worth the visit. Will be back again soon. Great atmosphere.
An absolutely lovely dining experience. Delicious food in a cozy space.

Fantastic local Italian restaurant.
Great as always
Service and food was excellent. Always a great trip to this restaurant.
Great food, exceptional wine list, attentive service in a low-key casual setting.
Wonderful food and friendly service.
The food is always good here. The menu doesn't change, but it doesn't need to. There's a full assortment of pastas, meats, pizzas, all made with care.
Just the best neighborhood restaurant; good food and excellent service.
We ate there for a pasta dinner before the Marine Corps Marathon - food was wonderful and service was great despite being very busy. Would definitely recommend.
