We had reservations but ended up having to wait about 15 min past that for our table. We ordered wine, however only had 3 people drinking because I am pregnant, our waitress accidentally poured wine into my full wine glass. Next we ordered appetizers and food... she never brought one of the appetizers. My husbands veal was super tough and the broccolini tasted like cooking gas.... our waitress never came back after entrees and we had to ask another server for the check and boxes. Aside from the veal... the other meals were tasty but the service put a damper on the experience.
Good food as usual; great service as usual; a neighborhood gem!
Friendly, neighborhood place. In retrospect we would have been better off with pizza or pasta rather than more complicated entrees. Will try that next time.
Delicious dinner, amiable atmosphere
Nice spot for dinner with colleagues. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. The food was good and the pasta stood out as fresh.
This is a great place for informal dining with friends or family. The pasta sauce was delicious and the salmon was huge. I’ll go back.
Food was outstanding. Very busy and the wait staff was a little slow to come back for orders and get attention for the bill. Otherwise really good. I had not been there in quite some time and will come again soon.
We were upstairs and it was painfully loud, making conversation impossible at times. I literally couldn’t hear the person across the table from me. My friend told me that’s unusual, and I do think the noise was mainly coming from one large party
It’s a neighborhood gem. Feels like I’m at someone’s home eating a great meal. Love the place and the staff!!!
A dinner at Il Radicchio is becoming a tradition when I am visiting my daughter. This was my third visit and will return next time I am here.
Ran out of my fav dish!
Great food, family atmosphere, reasonable prices. So glad we went!
Excellent, excellent food. Great service and a quiet, ambient atmosphere. Will absolutely come here again.
Nice local restaurant with good Italian food reasonably priced!
Great family owned restaurant! We have been coming to Arlington for the past 15 years and we were always interested in Il Racicchio but never ate there until this year. We're going back tonight for our 3rd time. Great food, cozy atmosphere, and excellent value.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The staff is professional, the food is excellent, and it is a great place to get together with friends.
Went to il Radicchio for an impromptu weeknight date with my wife. It was inexpensive for the quality, with lots of variety on the menu. Great casual wine selections well. Volume allowed for easy conversation. Overall, a it was a wonderful neighborhood restaurant to which I hope to return soon.
The lasagne remains a hit! Thank you for such great service.
Great gem of a restaurant. Our waiter was wonderful recommending substitutions that were perfect. They had carafes of Chianti’s that were fabulous
A very wide selection on the menu of both food and beverage. Service is always so welcoming. Highly recommend!
The food is usually very good to excellent. We love the artichoke ravioli, the eggplant parmesan, the pasta with bolognese sauce, and especially some of the bruschette. The servers work hard and move fast, but because the place is usually quite crowded, you can't always find perfection in the service.
Normal food. Pasta was just ok.
Our favorite place for spaghetti ! Always get the pistachio cream sauce and the Bolognese.
Excellent food and service; our favorite Italian restaurant in the are.
This is a very casual place, without tablecloths or cloth napkins, but with comfortable, cushioned chairs. It was not too noisy even though it was fairly busy, so it was possible for the three of us to converse without shouting. The service was very good, although we did wait a bit for our wine to arrive. The arugula salad was good, and plenty for three people, the special risotto with scallops was excellent, as was the linguine di mare. The veal piccata was delicious, but one of the three pieces of meat was a bit tough and didn't get eaten. We would definitely go back if we need to dine in this area again.
Always a great stop in Arlington...fun place...good food...good service!!
Why this place is booked a lot is beyond me. The food was average. The pizza was not anything special, the crust and sauce were not as tasty as they looked. The place is casual with kids and young families. I was hoping for quaint Italian cafe, the outside looks so cute, but the food was a big disappointment.
Phenomenal. We loved our server, and several managers came by during our meal to ask us how it was. Just great all around. (And a quick kitchen!).
Delightful, charming Italian trattoria, with generous tasty portions of rustic food.
The food and drinks were amazing. We will be back!!
Authentic Italian in a rustic setting. Loved it. Highly recommend! Location is opposite of the busy Clarendon area, but easily walkable.
Il Radicchio is a small cozy Italian restaurant. The staff are friendly, helpful, and helped make my husband's birthday into a really nice evening. The ambiance is peaceful - the walls are decorated with cute farm animals that gives it a woodsy comforting feeling. I highly recommend the Penne Pollo - this dish was so good, I just had to soak up all the sauce into the bread before I left. My husband got the all you can eat pasta and built his own dish with all of his favorites. The tiramisu is very good as well. Not to mention, the prices are very affordable. This place makes for a nice evening out with family or someone special.
Good food, good value. Nice neighborhood restaurant. Friendly, efficient staff.
Wonderful food and service! They couldn't have been nicer to us that evening.
As usual, we greatly enjoyed our visit. The only downside is that because the gorgonzola-pistachio pasta is so delicious, we never try anything else. Our friend, for whom this was the first visit, ordered the mushroom pasta and wished she'd chosen gorgonzola-pistachio. we will definitely be back!!
Had no chicken - at all!!! I’ve never been to a restaurant that ran out of chicken, especially when it’s one of their featured entrees!!
We love this place. The service is attentive without hovering, and you can carry on a conversation without shouting across the table to be heard. The salads are great, and they have a nice selection of Italian wines (by the glass or bottle). The pizza is a good, wood-fired pizza, but we prefer the pasta dishes. There is a great neighborhood feel to the place. Good for groups, or a quiet evening for two.
