Il Posto provides a warm, comfortable and non pretentious atmosphere with a variety of food options for all ages alike. Walking into Il Posto is like walking into a Trattoria in Rome or Venice, yet it is here in the Incredible Napa Valley! Our menu includes a variety of salads and house made pastas, in both small and large portions. We serve rustic pizzas and classic Italian dishes like Chicken Picatta, Ravioli and Veal Saltimboca. Service was great and quick after a long day of traveling. Food was average at best. Don't waste your money the prosciutto and melon appetizer.

The main pasta dishes were overly salty but had good flavor. The cantaloupe and prosciutto dish had a ridiculous amount of meat— there was barely anything at all. The bruschetta was tasty. The complementary bread served was very stale and the second portion was a completely different (and still stale) bread. The service and ambiance were good.

Second time here, first time for lunch. Had reservations and was quickly seated. Lunch time isn't as busy as dinner so restaurants ambience more relaxed instead of hectic and loud. They had two specials today and we decided to share both: Peach Salad and Fig Pizza. Peach Salad was lite and refreshing. Pizza was nice & tasty with figs adding a little sweetness. For dessert we shared the Chocolate Cheesecake which was delightfully yummy! Another 10/10 experience: restaurant, service & food. For sure cant wait to come back to explore more of the menu!

The restaurant is beautiful inside. Rustic and charming. The service we experienced from the moment we walked in was welcoming and attentive and genuine. The burrata and tomato appetizer was so fresh it was one the best I have ever had. For our entrees we had the rib eye and the chicken parm. Both were excellent. The quality and freshness of the ingredients was fantastic. We will be back again…and again.

Had some of the best pasta of my life here! Everything was delicious. We also appreciate that the restaurant is kid friendly as not many in wine region are. We were provided coloring sheets and crayons, and the tables were topped with white paper as well. Service was attentive and polite. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the mood for Italian!

I've been a regular at Il Posto Trattoria for quite some time, and it continues to be a favorite spot to bring my teens for a delightful family dinner. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a casual evening out or a special celebration. The staff is always attentive, friendly, and accommodating, which adds to the overall great experience. The menu offers a wonderful variety of dishes, and we’ve enjoyed trying something new with each visit. Everything from the starters to the desserts is well-crafted, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. I especially appreciate the care taken to source quality ingredients—it truly shows in every bite. If I had to be super critical, I would gently mention that the pasta tends to be somewhat undercooked on occasion. While it hasn’t dampened our overall enjoyment, it’s something we’ve noticed more than once. Given the otherwise excellent standards at Il Posto Trattoria, I’m confident that the kitchen can easily rectify this small issue to match the high quality of the rest of the menu.
