The food is always fabulous and the service is amazing. Every time I go there the servers are extremely accommodating especially with food intolerances.
The entire experience was wonderful. From walking in the door until leaving, everyone was smiling, courteous and friendly! The rest rooms definitely needed some attention but it was St. Patrick’s Day and super super busy. That will not stop me from recommending the place or from coming back should I ever find myself in Chicago again. The food was fabulous! It was the perfect ending to a long day! Thank you. 😋🍷🍝
Great and unparalleled spot in River North.
The food was wonderful and everything came out super hot and freshly prepared . The menu was comfort Italian and both my husband and I both loved our meals and have already planned what we want to try next . Tables are tight but that didn’t really bother us . It was packed and full of energy . The donuts for dessert were awesome and the tiramisu was phenomenal .
Sorry but we thought the Food was average, the wine was expensive.
Artichoke was dripping in topping /butter / cheese & breadcrumbs.
Chicken Parmesan was “dry” not enough sauce (?). Side of spaghetti seemed like “ chef boyardee”.
Wheat capellini was ok but uninspired.
Ambience was very good.
Had dinner here with my husband and 2 kids (13 and 9). Our first time in Chicago as a family so we don’t know the restaurant scene. Il Porcellino was great. Reservation at 8 pm. Seated quickly. Restaurant was packed. Good music and ambiance. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Importantly, kids made to feel welcomed. My youngest’s nut allergy was taken seriously. The food was very good. Crispy brussel sprouts and burrata apps were great. Would recommend.
Great food... very delicious. Would go again! It was my daughter’s birthday so very much appreciated extra effort to surprise her.
Best lasagna ever! Donuts a must
Good music. A bit loud
Aside from the initial greet to the table taking a while longer than expected, it was an excellent evening as always, and the food superb. Rachel was very sweet and took her time with my friend who had not been before. Great time!
Eating at Porcellino was a great experience and I thought the food was very good. The atmosphere and ambience were excellent. I went there with my wife to meet up with a friend for dinner and someone else had recommended it. It turned out to be a wonderful time with good food and drinks along with good service.
Dinner was delicious. Kathleen, our server, was attentive, knowledgeable and made the dining experience superb.
I was able to change my reservation through the opentable app twice as we were running late getting into Chicago the other weekend. Very helpful to be able to do this while in transit! When we arrived, we had about a 20 minute wait for a table but that was no issue at all as we found 2 spots at the bar and enjoyed a glass of wine. The food was excellent! We tried the meatballs for an appetizer and the marinara sauce is outstanding! For dinner we had the 4 cheese tortellini and the lasagna. The lasagna was a standout, probably the best either of us had ever had. A generous portion, thick with cheese and meat and again, that sweet (but not overly) marinara sauce. Service was spot on and prompt / efficient. Our meal was about $55 before tip with 1 glass of wine on the table tab (bar tab closed prior). Noise levels were moderately high, so we sat next to each other to ensure good conversation. Atmosphere was quite nice with the many lights hanging from the ceiling.
This is a Chicago hidden gem. Love, love this place! Great cocktails and food, great music. All around good spot.
Food was great (Barrata lasagna and Cacio E Pepe were amazing). Service was even better. Really loved our experience and will definitely go back. 👍🏼👍🏼
Very cool room and vibe. Staff were friendly and helpful. We asked for menu suggestions and loved each recommendations. The lasagna and butter scotch pie were outstanding!
The burrata app was amazing. The pasta special was good but the sauce was a bit watery. I expected something more of a “fra diavola” type. Milano Mule, Cappuccino and 60’s music were the highlight of the evening.
Excellent, excellent food! Great service and a very nice ambiance. Definitely on my list for a return visit.
Love the Italian Paloma! The bartender is amazing! The artichoke shareable was a little difficult to eat, but they did provide towels to clean your hands with.
Service was par. Food was great
Great Italian, good service
Manager Kiva came over to make sure our Open Table seating request was fulfilled to our satisfaction. Never had that happen before. Kudos!
Il Porcellino was great! My brother and I took my parents there for dinner and we all loved every part of it. I'd definitely go back and have recommended it to friends.
Loved the ambiance the moment we walked in. Classic Italian place complete with red checked table cloth and cloth napkins trimmed in red. Great music and friendly treatment by all the servers. Had the feeling of a big family gathering. Good place for a date and maybe even better for a double date or heading out with friends. Looking forward to visiting again.
Didn’t work out with the date but would still recommend the restaurant
Everything was great! Food and drinks were on point. Our server Ashway was super sweet and very knowledgeable!
Good Italian fare! Casual and comfortable atmosphere.
Very good food but drinks are sorta overpriced.
This restaurant is a gem of chicago. After spending 4 months living in Rome, I have found this food to be extremely similar to the food I ate while in Italy. I think the food is absolutely delicious and I've loved every dish that I have tried. Additionally, the ambiance is amazing. Perfect setting for a date night or even a dinner with friends. I highly recommend this restaurant to others!
Delicious, well-prepared and presented, traditional Italian food. The gnocchi was fresh and lovely, and the short rib was really special. The place was packed, so make a reservation for sure. We are so glad we did. Next time we're in Chicago, we'll make sure to come here for at least one dinner.
Delicious food with great service. Reasonably priced. Would like to have had a basket of bread. Had to pay for it. Overall a very good restaurant.
Loved loved the clam bread! Great place ❤
Service fantastic and food scrumptious.
Service was great and food was excellent.
Great food and service
We had a great dinner on a quiet Thursday night. This is my new favorite Lettuce restaurant!
First time here and did not disappoint. VIP table was very enjoyable. Service was phenomenal. Surprisingly four cheese tortellini was the best thing on the menu.
I thought it was about time to introduce my cousins to my favorite. They are serious foodies. After having the Brussels sprouts, Burrata lasagna and the Tuscan cheese bread, they are ready to declare Il Porcellino THEIR new favorite.
Loved the good, atmosphere and the music was great!
I always have a great time here. Solid food and service! Look forward to coming back very soon!
We were in town for the first time and this restaurant was right around the corner from our hotel. We got a recommendation from a friend. Everything about this place was great. We loved it! Our waiter was very good. Food was amazing. The waiter went out of his way to make it a wonderful experience for my birthday and made sure we got our in time to get to a show. House Chianti was very good!
