Food was very good. Only issue was the parking. We had a 5:00pm reservation for dinner for ten people. This was a business dinner. We arrived separately at 4:50pm. They have valet which is great because there is nowhere to park in Hinsdale. Only problem is the valet Parker didn’t show up for work until 5:20. We circled the neighborhood looking for parking for 40 minutes until he finally showed up. If you open at 5:00pm. Your car parker should be there by 4:45pm. Started our evening extremely aggravated.

Spectacular food and service

We went for Easter Brunch, great atmosphere, food and service. The staff was very
accommodating for special needs.

Absolutely beautiful spot to have had Easter brunch.
Atmosphere was a 10 , Food was a 10 and the decor is cozy chic so the comfort level was an 11. We really enjoyed it . What a find , very happy we went. Can wait to go for dinner.
I highly suggest it to all who enjoy cozi chic with great food and vibe to match.

Wonderful local find. Great food, great service that doesn't rush you and noise level is such that you can carry on a conversation without difficulty. The pasta is outstanding.

We were there years ago in opening night. This year, we took ourselves and kids for Valentine’s Day. The food was fantastic again, despite needing to eat fish on account of Ash Wednesday..

The menu was a little limited as far as meatless options for lent. We both had pasta with mark Nara and it was good. Our. Server was not very friendly and seemed to be rushing us. Other than that everything else was enjoyable.

Went with 6 girlfriends and knew we would be staying for a bit b/c the middle school play we were supposed to go to that night was cancelled due to the weather. I had asked for a corner table knowing we would be there awhile. They gave that to us and the server - Heather - had been forewarned! She was great and didn't rush us- very very helpful with menu and wine bottle selections. We stayed for 3.5 hours and she was great the whole time, she even has a sense of humor (yes, we tipped appropriately)! The Valentines menu was delicious - some got the short rib tortellini and some got the scallops. dessert was tiramisu, brownie, and something else. It was all yummy. It is loud in there when it's busy. Ask for Heather's section if you go there. :-)

We had heard good things about this Italian restaurant and it lived up to that praise. The dining room is extremely attractive and our server was pleasant and helpful. Delicious mushroom soup was followed by equally good entrees. My roasted salmon with white beans was very flavorful and genuinely Italian, a pleasant change from the usual offerings at most Italian restaurants. We will make a point of returning to this Hinsdale gem.

We had a fantastic meal at Il Poggiolo! The bread was so fresh with the softest inside and crusty outside. Creative cocktails were delusions. Our main course came out hot and flavorful - really authentic tasting. Will definitely go back!

Nice meal. Good gourmet pastas prepared well. Nice atmosphere. Good for group or a date. Can get a little loud.

We went to Il Poggiolo for the first time and really enjoyed it. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was delicious and we loved the ambiance. We are looking forward to a return visit and asking friends to join us.

Love this restaurant! Always have and it did not disappoint this time. Went on a very very cold winter day so there were not many in the restaurant. My guest and I lingered a while talking, and the server was attentive, but not at all pushy. Let us just chill and order when we were ready. Have never had a bad meal there either. Manager came to talk to us a few times during the lunch. Again, wasn't busy at all, but it was a nice gesture. I'll go back again and again.

I was disappointed in the taste of the food. The bolognese was bland. The limoncello was surprisingly bland. Even my 6 year old daughter found it rather unpalatable. The kitchen put beef in my brother’s meat sauce when he specifically ordered pork. My niece said the veal was too dry and salty. We will not returning to this restaurant.

Great place.

You could go here for any occasion from kids to date to holiday. The food is awesome, service is excellent and an always enjoyable experience.

Food, service and ambiance were great when we arrived. But, being more in the category of fine dining, we were surprised when multiple families with children began to arrive for dinner. Although most of the children were well-behaved, this is not the type of restaurant (nor menu) for children.

Excellent food and service

Ordered what the waiter suggested for pasta, which was the rigatoni. Unfortunately I didn't know it was rigatoni stuffed with ricotta cheese and then drenched in a cream tomato sauce. Too heavy. Food was "meh". Not very impressive.

We came here after not coming for a while. I had remembered it loud and not knowing what to order but this time we were upstairs and I think it wasn’t so loud up there but anyways I enjoyed being able to carry on a conversation. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will come back soon.

Food just keeps getting better and better! Great spot!

Went for lunch with friends, took us 20 minutes to get our drinks and take our order. Another 30 minutes until our food arrived, and one member of our group had to cancel her order because she had to leave. Drinks were not refilled, waitress was inattentive. Food was average, a bit on the expensive side.

Always dependable. Good food and nice variety on the menu. Service can be a bit slow at times but it is a nice venue. Lovely decor.

The whitefish was VERY fishy. My wife's was less so but clearly overdone. Good pasta. Good wine.

We made a reservation for 6 for my freshman daughter's homecoming group. A week before Homecoming, the restaurant called and told us that due to the number of homecoming reservations, they would offer an optional $30 fixed menu (including tip and taxes) to the homecoming crowd to make sure everyone. I thought this was a great idea and strongly suggested to the girls in the group that they take advantage of this menu. On Homecoming Night, one of the girls was unable to make dinner due to a sports event which ran late. The restaurant charged the group of 5 girls an extra $30 for the "optional" price fixed menu for the missing girl. I could not believe the restaurant would do this to a group of young girls - it was embarrassing and upsetting to them, as some had only brought the $30 they needed for their own meal. In my opinion this was out of bounds, and the restaurant would never have tried to charge a group of adults for this. This restaurant took advantage of a group of young girls and ruined their homecoming dinner, and I can't in good faith recommend anyone go to a restaurant who would treat their young customers this poorly.

Enjoyed our first time here. The service was outstanding and food could not have been better. Will definitely be back!
