We were early and the place was pretty empty so it was no problem that we added two people to our reservation. The service started out good but as things got busier, the service decreased. By dessert it was a long wait. Also noise is really bad when they are busy. Go early for best experience.

I go to Il Piatto on a regular basis and love it. I always go between 4:30 and 6:00 when appetizers are half off and there are half orders of the entrees. They have an outstanding selection of wines at a reduced price during this time too. It's a great a value overall plus the service is excellent, always knowledgeable and attentive. I have my favorites. I usually get one of the soups: the Gazpacho (seasonal) or the Mushroom Bisque are great. The Caesar salad is one of the best in town. I love the New Mexico Beef Carpaccio and Mary's Organic Roast Chicken. And, then there's dessert. All of the desserts are fantastic. My favorite, hands down, is the zabaglione but the chocolate mouse is as good as it gets as is the tiramisu. I also especially like that everything is made in house, they source from local farmers and have organic options. Overall, it's a great experience for a great price. It's a favorite of mine and other locals.

We had a wonderful dinner at Il Piatto. The atmosphere was so romantic and peaceful on the night that we were there. The food was very fresh and beautifully presented. Our server was from Minnesota, as are we, and we had a great time talking with her. She provided expert service and recommendations. This was one of our favorite place we ate in our nine nights in Santa Fe.
We love to come to Il Piatto for great Italian cuisine and we consider it as a go to place when we are celebrating a special occasion. The food is always great with an authentic and imaginative presentation. Server took great care of us and had us all laughing. Great time. We will be back.
Very expensive for pasta. Then the half size dinner left us hungry at the end. The glassware and table ware were not clean. The space was very dark and I didn’t want to venture to the ladies room for fear of what it might look like.
Delightful dining experience all around. The prices are in line with the quality of farm fresh ingredients.

The branzino was great. Our friends had the ravioli upon our recommendation and were not disappointed. The focaccia was fresh from the oven and perfect. A good lunch get together with friends.
Great food and quite accommodating for us vegans. Good wines per glass. Server Tiffany was beyond helpful!
The fish special was excellent, the eggplant parmesan was disappointing (too cheesy and lacked much texture). The ravioli has always been very good.
A little pricey, but good. Due to cost, would not go back.

We selected Il Piatto Italian Farmhouse Kitchen based on online reviews, location and menu. Wow! The happy hour menu was right sized portions of pasta dishes and half price appetizers. In addition there was a value selection of good wines. Server was friendly, informative and attentive. I enjoyed the duck ragu with paparadelle. My husband had a delicious frutti de Mar; we started with carpaccio and finished with apple strudel. Locally accessed ingredients, pleasant atmosphere !

Service was fantastic. There was a very loud party nearby unfortunately, but that sometimes comes with the territory. The food overall was delicious and well executed. Although the ravioli were far more firm than I would have expected for al dente, they addressed the matter promptly and graciously. I'd definitely recommend the restaurant and would happily visit them again.

Perhaps I didn’t make good choices, but I thought the food was pretty ordinary.
With only one soup offering, the chicken and mushroom soup should be a knockout.

Everything was wonderful for our meal, except, I will never sit in the room with the bar again because of the slamming of the swinging doors into the kitchen every minute. Very distracting. There were only 2 other tables occupied in there on the night we had dinner, so probably with more tables full it wouldn't have been so bothersome. Have loved the newest room to the right when you walk in the door.
Never a disappoint! The service is over the top and very professional. The food choices covers all types of appetites. They also have a great “Happy Hour”. Looking forward to returning soon. Bravo!
We went there during restaurant week which might have been part of the problem. They squeezed 7 of us (with a reservation) at a table that was clearly too small. Our waiter was more of a casual sales person (trying to upsell) and would constantly pour refills into our water glasses from the end of the table, leaning over people and aiming at the water glasses from a height that made us all nervous, instead of politely picking up the water glass, filling it and returning it to the table. (It may seem like a small thing but for the price of this restaurant we expected better) The food was good but not great like we had remembered from past visits. My veal was very tough and more like a sirloin and well done. The one thing mentioned that was very good at the table was the seafood linguine. But for the price, not very memorable.
I made a reservation almost 2 weeks in advance. When we showed up, there was not a table available, so we had to wait. When we finally got a table, it was a large table that seated 8. we were a party of 4. The service was very slow. The food was great, but it took forever!
Duck ragu Papperadelle - so good!! Wesley was wonderful. Ambience - conducive to conversation and relaxation!

Been here many times, both for lunch and dinner. This was Restaurant Week and the place was packed. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table, which is most unusual. Good service with very friendly waiter. Scallops appetizer was very delicious. Grilled calamari appetizer not so good, quite rubbery. Branzino perfectly cooked and just the right portion size. My friend had the pumpkin ravioli and practically licked her plate. Desserts excellent, too. Try the cannoli or tiramisu.
It was overall a nice dinner as part f Restaurant week. Are planning to go back for happy hour when it isn't so busy. Bar area a little loud but not unbearable. Quiet room was pointed out but unless you are with a larger group I prefer the bar area. Food was good, not outstanding.
We don’t usually go out during Santa Fe Restaurant Week but I saw that they were offering their whole menu, rather than just a few unusual choices. We thought we’d try it since we’d never been here before. It was delicious! The service was good too - friendly and helpful but not fussy. We will definitely be back.
They expanded to second dining area which is very big and relatively quiet. Very nice addition
