Happy hour appetizers are superb. Staff on the ball, good wine choices
Were at Il Piatto twice during a spring break trip to Santa Fe. Was able to take advantage of their fabulous happy hour menu - wonderful food at a very reasonable price, excellent service and welcoming staff. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and ambience was wonderful, service by John Paul was outstanding, 5 stars
We had family dinner there and the waitstaff couldn't have been nicer. Great service and great food! Highly recommended!
Great dinner experience, would highly recommend to anyone.
Lovely dinner with a few inconsistencies.
We were recommended to your restaurant as we are from out of town- what a delightful experience. The service was outstanding as well as the food. We enjoyed the creative menu and the food rose to the occasion.
Spaghetti was exceptional. Great Prosecco and desserts were good, chocolate mousse and creme cheese.
It was soooo noisy at lunch we could hardly hear each other. The grilled calamari were so tough they were almost inedible. The Branzino was good but too salty.
Great dinner. Nice to have the pasta dishes as an option for appetizers or entree. Very nice. Our waiter was very friendly and very attentive. Tiramisu was good but not authentic enough
Had great wine at half price before 6; awesome bread, dinner and desert! One of the very best meals and deals in town!
4 of us ate
At Il Piatto at 5pm on Friday Feb. 29th. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable but the food took BBC a long time to come. We ordered some desserts and waited and waited finally we gad to leave to go to a show so at 6:55 we told our waiter wf had a problem. He suggested they could pack our desserts to go. We said yes and then we left.
On Sunday we got the bag out of the fridg and there was only 3 desserts!!!! They all were about 2 tablespoons. I know during restaurant week the desserts are smaller but this was ridiculous. Something was not right in the kitchen that evening!!!! We usually live your place but now I am not sure if we will go back which is too bad but thus was very weird!
Family dinner to celebrate one son's birthday during Restaurant Week. Unlike some restaurant week options II Piatto had many menu offerings. Service was very helpful and attentive without hovering. Food was the best Italian since we moved to NM (from the DC area) 3 years ago.
Had a reservation for 7:45 didn’t get seated till 8:30. Hostess was really rude and service was slow. We didn’t expect that kind of Service from a place like this.
This was my first visit, and I was impressed. I ordered Eggplant Parmigiana and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered same, and it was a wonderful surprise him, too. We were seated in the bar, it was a Friday night and quite noisy. Other than that, the dining experience was beyond expectation and we will definitely go back ... often.
Excellent place. Service was slow due to restaurant week. I was disappointed in my appetizer it look sloppy and unappealing. Normally food and service is spot on.
We really enjoyed our family dinner during restaurant week. Everyone’s meal was delicious & service was excellent.
Restaurant week was just overwhelming for them. Appetizers were sent back awful. That was grilled calamari.
Branizo was inconsistent since 3 of my part had it. All different look and my tastes really bad.
I usual like this restaurant so I’ll try again someday
Came here for restaurant week. It was completely packed. They were on the ball. Considering how busy they were. They food was fabulous!
Wonderful dinner during Santa Fe restaurant week. Outstanding service and extraordinary Italian menu.
Great meal and wine!
Fantastic! Awesome service awesome food will be back
Great restaurant week lunch! Will def come back for more.
Food and service was very nice. But, the wines by the glass were significantly over priced. Too bad, they lost that part if our business
Excellent food and service. Entire menu was available for restaurant week -- super cool!
We went for Restaurant Week so the value was excellent. The decor is what I imagine an Italian tratoria would look like but it was quite cold; at one table guests were eating with their jackets on. The food was delicious; my scallops Rockerfeller outstanding! We waited for service throughout the meal but when our waiter came he was very nice and accommodating. We seemed to be the only table he had in our room so we didn't see him for significant periods at a time. Perhaps Restaurant Week had something to do with service and hopefully it better on other visits.
We dined at Il Piatto on Monday, February 24. They were one of the many restaurants participating in Restaurant Week, and the dinner was fabulous! All of the appetizers, pastas, entrees, and desserts were included in the pre-fixed $35 dinner so you could choose one appetizer, a pasta or entree, and a dessert. We had the green salad and the baked mushrooms (in a wonderfully sinful sauce) as our appetizers followed by the NY Strip steak with croquettes, and the chicken saltimboca (sp?). For dessert, we each had the chocolate and strawberry trifle cake, and it was light and indulgent as the same time. Whenever we're in Santa Fe, we try to dine at Il Piatto as it's one of our favorites.
I was not impressed with the dessert. It seemed like our tiramisus were missing a piece because they were propped up with a strawberry so they could be level. The steaks were over done. Great Service.
We have eaten at Il Piatto several times in the past few years, they have always been excellent, both the food and the service.
Everything was spectacular! Love this place. Service, food, pacing=wonderful
Il Piatto is always great. They have a wonderful happy hour everyday of the week, which is a good value. The restaurant week menu.
We love this place all the time. Restaurant week capped it off! The most generous choices of any restaurant in the Santa fe food week. All excellent for 4 of us, all differing choices among veggies, beef, seafood(mussels, branzino fish, and scallops). Pastas could be taken as entree or smaller appetizer sub. Wanted us try all we could. Desserts were smooth and delicious. And we got Happy Hour drinks. Great night. Party from Abq, Maryland and Michigan.
Great food and attentive service. The main room, which also houses the bar. is a little loud. The special offer of any appetizer, any entrée and any desert for $40.00 is an outstanding value. If you're in Santa Fe don't miss this great restaurant.
Outstanding menu with a great selection.
Very flavorful food
Small restaurant-very quaint
Deserts were excellent
Overall amazing experience. Food was outstanding. Service also outstanding.
We loved the atmosphere and experience, however everything that we ordered was overwhelmed by the strong taste of cheese and garlic. From the soup to the desserts, all the items we selected were a bit rich and laden with cheese. The ingredients are of high quality, however, and are prepared with care and artistry.
Our Service was Excellent by John Paul. ( JP )
Our swordfish came somewhat at room temperature, we explained to JP, he took care of it immediately.
Bringing our food to the level of excellence.. The restaurant manager paid us a visit, to apologized and complemented us with two glasses of a perfectly paired white wine to go along with our fish entrée. We look forward to returning soon. II Piatto has been a staple environment for 15 years to celebrate our special occasions. Much thanks in making our 20th Anniversary, " The Time of Our Lives."
We had a great Valentine's Day dinner at Il Piatto. Thanks for the chocolate covered strawberry gift!
Restaurant had a good Valentine's Day set menu selection for $40.00.
Celebrated Valentine's Dinner at Il Piatto. Really enjoyed our meal. It was exceptional. Our server was friendly and did not rush us. All around great experience. Thank you!
