Truly just mediocre? Took my boyfriend there for his birthday - staff did not acknowledge/care. Had to flag down for service every time even though it was mid-day and not very busy. Food was bland and overpriced. Wouldn't go back.

Outstanding food, and great service. This restaurant is extremely busy and you’ll have to wait a bit even with a reservation. It’s worth it. I always get a pasta in the cheese wheel with truffles and I dream about it for weeks after. It’s just so good. Tiramisu is awesome too. We shared the beef carpaccio and it was outstanding. The polenta was a bit too runny for me but great flavor. I love that this restaurant is totally casual but still has incredible food.

Pretty disappointed with this visit. 2 of the 3 main dishes were not good. Meatballs had a weird texture, and Pene was undercooked. Rizzotto and Ceasar salad were delish!!!

Fabulous food and wine. But our waiter was so terrible and unfriendly, it was kind of a bummer. We asked for suggestions, and he was curt and uninventive. Spent no time asking our preferences or checking to ensure we were having a nice time. For a $500 bill, I expect more engaging service.

I used to work in Beverly Hills and this was one of my favorite places for lunch. Made it back recently, and it still is. The food is amazing. The service is always excellent and the ambience is just perfect. They've added a bunch of outside seating, which seems like it always should have been there now. If you are in the area and want to feel transported to Italy (only in English) this is the place.

We had not been to Il Pastaio since before Covid, so we were a little apprehensive as to the quality. Il Pastaio did not disappoint. The quality of the food and service was just how we remembered it. We enjoyed a delicious brunch on the outside patio. The service was great and attentive. The only downside was that there was an event in Beverly Hills that day and the traffic going by was a little loud, but not so loud as to spoil our meal.

As locals, we dined here years ago and it was phenomenal. We dined here last night and it was not good. The staff is incredibly rude and could care less to serve you. The staff seems disgruntled. This place seems to be funneling in tourists and focusing on a low quality food/service, high volume business model. Will not return. Sorry.

We love Italian food and after 10 days in USA we need it a lot. I’m Italian and that restaurant is like to be in my country. The burrata was excellent, also my garganelli with salsiccia. My daughter loved her ravioli with truffle and the branzino who ordered my wife was super fresh and well cooked. We had also a Tatin and a Tiramisu, both delicious.

The only “thing” I’ve really appreciated was Fabio, the waiter. He was the best! All the rest was pretty poor, especially the quality of the food unfortunately. I’m a regular customer of Il Pastaio in Dubai (I live in Dubai) and I was super excited to try “the original Il Pastaio” but I was really surprised that the one in Dubai is much much much better than this one. Anyway, it doesn’t matter, hope this honest review give you some infos in order to become better. Thank you. Riccardo
