About Il Palio
Il Palio was named after the race held each summer in Siena, Italy. Created with a passion, the restaurant has been exquisitely designed and beautifully finished with materials from all over the world. No stone was left unturned and time was not a factor in finding exactly what was required to make the "vision" a reality. The atmosphere created is one of quiet comfort in surroundings reminiscent of an Italian villa. The friendly and courteous staff, the outstanding food, and the efficient service all contribute to the ambiance felt by those who visit the restaurant. Il Palio's fine Tuscan cuisine is a pleasing combination of the highest-quality ingredients and the caring preparation by chefs who take pride in the dishes they present. Like the race in Siena, Il Palio is creating lasting impressions.

Il Palio Ratings and Reviews
One of our diners found a foreign object in their lasagna. The manager removed that dish from the final bill, however, I think he could have offered a round of drinks or thrown in desert but he did not. Not looking for anything for free but it would have gone a long way to entice us back. Sorry No!!
The restaurant was busy but the service was attentive and friendly. We both had fish dinners. The portions were adequate and the flavor was excellent. The ambience was ideal for a romantic, memorable meal. We will go back even though it is a 35 minute drive.
Came here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. While the restaurant was very busy that night - we were seated right away. After we sat down - a waiter who had served us on a previous visit (not the waiter for today) came by to let us know that he knew that on our prior visit things had been a bit rushed - and so offered to give us complementary desserts on our visit this time. We were surprised and pleased at this - and mentioned we were here for our 25th. He congratulated us, and came back a few minutes later with two glasses of champagne as a special treat.
The rest of the evening was delightful - the food excellent as always, and the service extremely good. A nice end to our special day.
Though the noise level is high at lunch, it’s still a great place for a business meal. The staff was friendly and courteous, the service was outstanding with a really engaging waiter. He went out of his way to accommodate our choice of wine, dessert etc. I recommend them highly.
We are long time diners at Il Palio and when every the season changes we always go there to see what Margherita has done with the menu. As always, NEVER DISAPPOINTED -- the fall Carrot soup was outstanding and the butternut squash ravioli with prosciutto so thin you could see through it -- amazing. Elizabeth, our sever was terrific, spacing the courses out so we had a chance to relax and enjoy the wine. -- We will be back!
We are flying to CT for classes every 6-8 weeks and found this GEM ! On Thursday night I ate the best Salmon Anyone could ask for ! We decided to return Friday night and were not disappointed (we were floored)! Absolutely the best Scallops with pasta ! Desert was delicious. We are so happy with this place. We feel at home there❤️
My husband and I LOVE the food and service at Il Palio. I wanted every “Special” the Waiter described. The only thing that was frustrating was the noise level. Our reservation was at 7pm and we couldn’t have a conversation without leaning in to the table. We did not feel rushed and will definitely return. I think lunches we’ve had are more quiet.
The reservation process was easy and painless on the internet. The transition from the bar to the table was based on our timing, not the exact reservation time, and transferring the bill was no problem. The food was delicious. All in all a great dining experience
Truly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted politely, promptly seated and served a glass of Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. Service (our server Elizabeth) was excellent and the food was superb. We had a puréed cauliflower soup with a diver scallop, followed by halibut over escarole and gelato for dessert. Portion sizes were perfect. The support staff was readily available, but did not hover, filling water glasses quickly and quietly. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, even just a Monday.
Food was good, menu is limited and service was poor. After hearing so much about this restaurant, my actual dining experience was disappointing. There are so many excellent restaurants in the area, I would be hard pressed to return to this particular restaurant.
this is always a treat for us when we are in the area. All the specials were great; carrot soup with scallop, a terrific salad and shrimp pasta with fettucine in a shrimp bisque sauce all good. We really enjoyed the Italian chardonnay also before sharing a delicious tartufo
We had the veal scalippine, the veal wasn't bad. However, some of the veal was chewy and tough. The mashed potatoes were weak, very bland. My expectations are high when we come to your restaurant. Actually, we've been coming there for the past 14 years for our anniversary, but we will return
