Always great service and fantastic food! The staff is always polite.

I can’t recommend Il Palio enough! It’s our go to restaurant for special occasions, but also perfect for date night or “just because “! Outstanding food, service & ambience, and especially beautiful during the holidays!

Great culinary find as we were staying in the area for one night. Best halibut I’ve ever had. Tender, moist, not overcooked, caramelized on top. Nice small plate appetizers.

An overall wonderful dining experience

Special anniversary dinner. Food was good; noise level was loud though.

The service was horrible. The waitress wouldn’t make eye contact. Neighboring tables that were seated well after us got their entrees before we got our starter. I finally walked to the waitress to ask for our starter 1:15 min after we were seated. They brought starters for only two of our four diners. 15 min later I asked for the other two salads which then showed up quickly. And then the entrees showed up. Two pasta dishes and no offer of cheese. It was just really bad.

First Class food. Great service from a friendly outstanding staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Love this place.

This is my very fav restaurant. It is a true dining experience. I feel transported to a friendly restaurant in Italy. In a league of its own.

Wonderful dinner celebrating our Anniversary. Visiting CT and used recommendations to choose this restaurant. Food and service were wonderful. We were served quickly but not rushed. We would definitely visit again!!

My wife and I shared a fabulous evening with 2 friends of ours... Both couples having been to Il Palio on a number of occasions earlier... but tonight was really another level. The staff was very helpful and well prepared for us... the food choices were not typical which we all enjoyed.

Always the best... not a restaurant close to this place in all Shelton!!!

Always a better than expected experience. The cuisine has never disappointed in any way, from choice to presentation to quality of ingredients. The service is always a cut above.

The only minor negative was a somewhat bland mixed drink. The description held promise, but I was somewhat underwhelmed.

No matter - the experience is exceptional.

Every day dining made special, from the moment we enter. It’s like having a delicious meal amongst family and friends. A local gem!

Tuscan villa in an unlikely office complex but beautiful setting. Authentic Italian using fresh seasonal ingredients. The service was spot on, very accommodating. This restaurant could stand up against NYC restaurants or any upscale restaurants anywhere but with reasonable prices. Very special place.

Il Palio continues to impress at all levels. We love the seasonal rotation on the menu. Margherita is AMAZING with her pairings on food. Presentation is always spot on, and the wait staff (Dominick and Claudio) make the whole meal relaxing, enjoyable and amazing. We will always be back!!

I was really expecting it to be better than it was! First of, the restaurant is beautiful but I felt the food was just good and that's really a shame considering the potential. Appetizers were good but 5 out of the 7 people in our party said their entrees were bland and tasteless. Service was very good but couldn't make up for the bland food.

We were visiting from out of state and what a wonderful choice. Ambience, food, waiter Jose and rest of staff were superb.

Such a lovely place to have dinner! Our friends from Arizona had spent the day in traffic, so the atmosphere at Il Palio was quite soothing and the food was delicious! One of my favorites!

I was greeting by Cliff, who immediately made me feel as welcome as an old friend. I'd have to say, it was amazing how kind and thoughtful Cliff is. I confided some personal news, and he lit up with approval. When meeting someone like Cliff is the beginning of an evening, one immediately senses, this is going to be a special event. It was.

It was a wonderful lunch and our server/bus person was wonderful however once we received our dessert we didn’t see him again and after a long while had to ask the bus person to find him for our check.
Food was great as usual!

A great dinner as usual, parking is easy, the staff is friendly. We enjoyed ourselves.

Il Palio is a Shelton gem. Always a great meal. First class in all regards.

Il Palio was excellent! We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely. The food was awesome, especially dessert! I always say they have the best dessert menu I've ever seen. Always a great evening!

I met a group of friends there for lunch. It was superb. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. The salmon was delicious! We definitely will be back.

My wife and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first time at this restaurant and we will definitely come back. Our waiter, Dominic, was amazing and the food was incredible in both quality and quantity!
