Il Naso Ristorante Italiano Ratings and Reviews
Lovely ambiance and the food was fresh and flavorful. They allowed us to sit in the bar and the server was friendly but the service was slow and inattentive. They did Comp us splashes of wine because they forgot our 2nd glass, but we had to ask for the bill to be corrected to reflect the missing wine. We may have caught them on an off night. I would try them again.
Absolutely delicious food! Ate in the bar area in a booth which was very cozy! I had the scallop over risotto special with bacon/ Brussels sprouts! My husband had the filet mignon stuffed ravioli special with creamy mushroom sauce, so good! Service was excellent, great wine choices and reasonable for the quality of the meal!
Il Naso is one of my husband's and my favorite restaurants in Ketchum. I am a vegan and the sweet potato burger is phenomenal. There is a wide selection for non vegans and my husband has greatly enjoyed all the entrees he has been served. Wine selection is excellent and the ambiance is charming and unique. Love this place.
The wines we tried -and whose names are forgotten- were excellent. The arugula/carpaccio salad and the fennel Caesar salad were both delicious. The homemade chef's ravioli was incredible... One caveat however is that the date today is early November and there are no crowds causing rushing in the kitchen or noise in the dining area. The price for two was in the $80's plus tax and tip and well worth it.
Il Naso has a cozy carpeted bar with flattering lighting and great italian cuisine and wine list. It sort of fell off our list of Ketchum favorites in recent years, but under Sam’s presumed ownership and management and a great new chef, the food has never been better or more consistent. Twice in two weeks I ordered the lollipop lamb chops, an ample portion seasoned and grilled masterfully over browned new potatoes and sautéed onions. My wife invariably gravitates toward fish and is never disappointed by the daily fresh catch and it’s preparation. We ordered salads first, mine a fantastic version of Caesar, and glasses of a delectable Oregon Pinot Noir. The service is polite, efficient, friendly, but reserved. Technically, they don’t accept reservations in the bar, but we have been lucky. The main dining room is less cozy.
Il Naso has always been our go to in Ketchum for a special occasion out. It's romantic and cozy and the food and wine are usually delicious. We dined on Saturday and the food was medicore at best. The bread on our bruschetta appetizer was charred and the bean combination on top didn't taste good. Our Ravioli tasted really bland. It lacked sauce and flavor. For our main entree we had the lamb Shank. We have had this dish before and always look forward to it. This time the meat seemed like a cheap cut. It was sliced into multiple pieces and each contained a lot of fat and not a lot of actual lamb. The sauce was also very minimal and bland. Overall for the $130 we spent we were really disappointed.
We returned from out of town after having a fabulous meal here two years ago. My wife was delighted by the flowers specially provided on our table for her birthday. We started with a glass of proseco, followed by delicious beet soup and caesar salad. We were disappointed that the meatballs in the spaghetti dish were cold however, they were replaced quickly with tasty, hot meatballs. The spaghetti sauce was too heavy with garlic, almost as if jarred chopped garlic was used, although we know you use fresh garlic. The carmel sauce and toasted oats in the pear dessert were delicious, but the pear was not ripe and was too hard to cut into with a fork. The service, especially the waiter, was excellent and the presentation of the meal was lovely, however we were disappointed with parts of the meal.
